Deio and Dahlia Leafwalker

Deio.. He stood in a dark room with only a tiny bit of light shining from an unknown source. The little boy could hear a voice calling his name. Deio. Nana? Remember what I promised, ion-nin? Yes, Nana, Where are you? I'm with you always, watching from the stars with Ada. When can I see you again? The voice began to fade. Remember that I will always love you and your sister. Goodbye. No, wait! Nana!

"Nana!" Deio awoke from the dream as if it had been another nightmare. He sat up, breathing heavily, green eyes wide and red puff of hair standing on ends. Dahlia, sensing her twin brother's distress, shot up as well from her place beside him on the cemented Naboo alleyway.

"Deio! It was just a dream. Calm down." Dahlia hugged her brother, and he hugged back, tears streaming down his face.

"I know it was, but it seemed so real." Dahlia pulled back and coughed a bit.

"You wanna talk about it?" Deio nodded and quickly told his twin about the dream. She coughed again and took a shaky breath. Deio noticed that his sister was paler than normal. He felt her forehead and found it burning.

"Dahlia, you have a high fever!" Dahlia was confused, but then again, it explained why her head was fuzzy.

"We can't afford medicine, but I can go run for help. Stay here, I'll come back with help! Hold on, nin-nesa!" With that, Deio ran out in the street, ready to navigate his way through Theed to the hospital.

Walking along Naboo's capital in more personal attire, with his lightsaber tucked into the inside pocket of the jacket in case something happened, as he wanted to see what it was like for the others of the galaxy outside the one sith borders. Even though he wore a black blind fold over his eyes, he seemed to move like he wasn't blind at all, which was the truth he saw with the force as all miralukans do. The market was busy and he felt that it was relaxing, if not outright pleasant how the calm of the crowd seemed to wash over the area and himself, it made him almost forget.

He had left the sith territories to get a moment of peace to himself, away from his duties among the sith and to just enjoy being himself for a while. His almost meditative state caused him to miss the small boy that suddenly ran out of an alley and almost into his legs. "What's the hurry?" He asked calmly as he noticed the distress on the boys face, his own voice calm and almost silvery.

Not looking where he was going, Deio ran right into a guy with a blindfold on. He fell back and and looked up. Maybe this man will help. Almost immediately, the little Camoa latched onto the man's robes.

"Please sir! You have to help me! My sister's sick!"

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Going almost down to his knee so that he was at least close to having his own head in proximity to the little Camoa. "All right I'll help you, just calm down. What is wrong with her?" He asked as he extended the force to the boy's mind in an attempt to calm him down a little. He placed one hand reassuringly on the boys shoulder and smiled a kind smile.
'What am I doing? wouldn't the sith code just tell me to ignore this boy and go on my way?' The internal dialogue within his mind began with as he thought on what he had suddenly got himself into.

Light. Dark. Bond. Water.

Petri soared through the air lazily, wings outstretched like little sails. The little bat creature had hitched a ride here via digging himself into a large cargo ship, and he really liked it here. The wind currents were always calm, and smelled of the sea. Petri had never seen so much water in one place before. It was magical.

Petri felt something in his gut. He couldn't identify it for a second, but then chittered. "Oh, the magic is telling me something! What are you saying, magic?" The Vespert concentrated on the Force, and felt a very strong dark presence below him. With a flip of his tail, the Vespert dove steeply, coming up over [member="Darth Erebos"] and Deio. He felt the Force emanating from the larger man, and chittered. "Hello! I am Petri! This is a planet with many, many water! And also there are Gungans and Humans! And also ships! And you can do magic, and I can fly!" The bat's voice was high-pitched, sqeaky, and childish.

Petri circled down over the boy's head, and squaked. He sensed something troubling the kid. "What is the matter? Do you need help? I can help! I am a great helper!"

Eights paced back and forth in the halls of the tiny hospital, debating what his next move should be. The local government had commissioned him to inspect public facilities, and this hospital had been his most recent inspection. The hospital was, to be frank, terrible. It didn't meet public health standards, the doctor/patient ratio was way below the required, and its medical staff were under-qualified and not at all well trained. By all rights, he should close down this hospital and start complete renovations and training programs. This process could take months. This poor neighborhood was dangerous and disease-ridden. Though the hospital was mainly ineffective, it still saved lives. In the time it would take to renovate, people would die without help. He needed something to tip the scales, tell him which choice to go with.

"Well, she has a fever and we can't afford medicine." The little boy started to tug the man back towards the alleyway.

"Please, Hir vuin! She's all I have left!" At that moment the little bat flew down. Deio stopped and stared in amazement at the little guy who spoke. Whoa.

"Do do do do, do do do da, yada lala!" I sing as I walk down the street, Then I sense him, 'oh, its the person who taught that class that I interrupted, [member="Darth Erebos"], is that a child he is talking to? Is that a bat? Well it ain't the strangest thing I have seen, or done, far from it. But eh, i'm not a Sith yet, so I can help.' I continue to walk down the street, my astromech droid C7 following me, both sabers on my belt poorly hidden, rifle slung over my back, helmet on my head. I concentrate, suddenly the mask of my helmet slides into the top of my helmet. Temporarily blind, I search my pocket for my glasses and put them on. "Hey!" I say addressing [member="Deio and Dahlia Leafwalker"] as I walk towards the group. "You look sad, need help?"

Eights couldn't make the decision in an environment like that. He needed fresh air (though air was nonessential for his processing system). Eights stepped out onto the dirty streets, away from the cries and groans and antiseptic stench of the broken-down hospital. As Eights strolled down the block, he spotted a very strange sight indeed.

A small, crying child, snot dripping from his nose, was tugging on the leg of a blind man who was a clear force user. A second (heavily armed) force user knelt by the child's side, looking like he wanted to help but terrifying the kid even more with his weaponry. Above them circled a small Vespert. It seemed to be trying to communicate.

EIghts strode between the force users and bent down to meet the child's eyes.

"What's wrong, child? You don't look well. I'm a representative of the local hospital. Do you need to be admitted?"

The child was in quite a bit distress that Erebos could see and as he was being tugged by the boy he stood to allow Deio to show him to the boy's sister. It was then that he noticed the flying Vespert that had begun circling around them and he had to raise an eyebrow at the curious creature. 'Magic? does it mean the force?' He thought as he could see the vespert better than the boy given it's force sensitivity. "If you are a good helper then by all means follow along." He said with a smile but then came the other two, the, in his opinion, idiot acolyte and the meddling medical droid.
Reaching out with the force into the acolytes mind, he only conveyed one message that if Matthew exposed him there would be severe repercussions, he was here on a vacation a get away to relax after all. The droid on the other hand would most certainly be more of a nuisance. "I'm a force healer, I'm sure I could help the child but if I prove to be not enough then I will refer to your expertise." He then said politely to the droid.

Now seeing the seemingly larger crowd that had surrounded him, Deio began to feel a little claustrophobic and began backing away from the two men and the bat and back towards the alleyway that held his sick sister. Deio sat on the ground next to the very sick body of his twin sister and rocked her gently. Dahlia looked up at her brother.

"Tol resta, muindor-nín?" Deio met his sister's gaze and nodded. (is help coming, my brother)

"Lá, muinthel-nín. Rato." (yes, my sister. soon)

Deio then tried to pick up his sister, finding it actually a little easy since she was much lighter than he, and slowly began to walk towards the men, Dahlia's head resting against his shoulder.

Eights stood and watched as the child walked away. The other man had said he was a force healer? That made the situation even more dire. He'd seen the work of these "force healers". The patient got better for a little while, but the help was never permanent. Eights saw the child come back, carrying his sick sister. By Constructor he thought to himself. Her heat signature was off the charts. If she didn't get help soon.... well, let's just say she wouldn't last long. The second force user was standing affronted, as if he had just been told some very annoying news. Oh well. He wasn't important, just a distraction.

"Child, your sister is in danger. We need to get her to the hospital immediately if she is to heal."

He gave a sidelong glance to the blind man, trying to convey that interference here would be dangerous.

"You may be a very powerful force healer, but she needs medication and hospitalization. I'll need to take her to the hospital. Now."

Every second wasted was an opportunity for the girl to go into coma. If she did, the pathetic local hospital would have no way to save her.

Erebos walked to the child and seemed to view the droid with a little semblance of contempt. "I've seen the hospital around here, I would rather bring her aboard my ship and have my own medical staff look at her than give her over to incompetents." Leaning down he placed a hand on the girl child's forehead and focused his energy into her, careful of separating the darkside from the energy that he moved into her system. Then he began to focus on Curato salva that would translate into the child just as it would for him, if this wouldn't work he would have to resort to another option he had but it would come at the cost of brief pain for the girl and as such was the last option he had.
It was an odd sense of responsibility he felt, to save a life rather than to take it or twist it to his own ends or gains. A part of it felt liberating but another gave him a sense that what he was doing went against everything he had learned over the course of him becoming a sith lord.

I convey, or well try to, a message to [member="Darth Erebos"]. 'I can't be exposed either, I sorta kinda am in big trouble with the Republic for things I will not go into detail with, such as piracy, illegal goods, destruction of private property, murder, and the list goes on. Its safe with me.' I continue to watch as Erebos heals the child, "You know my mother was a skilled Force healer, she acted as a battle medic during the Jedi's bloodiest campaigns, she never taught me that much, the best I can do is heal a scar or paper-cut though." I continue to watch as the droid continues to warn us of the precautions of doing this. "He has it covered, trust me."

Deio saw the adults talking worriedly as they saw the state of his sister and had a moment of panic. Was she going to make it? He almost jumped when he realized that [member="Darth Erebos"] was touching Dahlia's forehead. She shifted under the man's touch and Deio slowly lowered her to the ground again, to give his arms a rest.

"Adar.." Deio's eyes widened.

"La nanwen nin, Dahlia." He called to her softly, but her eyes still didn't open. Deio's face fell. (dahlia, please return to me)

Petri flapped around in circles over the sick girl With a happy tone, he chittered out. "Hello! I am Petri! I am small, and flying, and you cannot fly, and you are also not happy! I can help make you happy, if you want!" Petri noted [member="Darth Erebos"] touching the girl, and immediately nodded his head. "Yes! We can do a magic trick! Watch!"

The little bat concentrated, and poured his own Force energy into the Darth's healing. Hopefully, that would make the job more successful. While he did this, he jabbered on. "By the way, what is an incompetent? Also, what is a Force? Also, what is a Jedi? Also, what is a paper-cut?"

"Incompetent means that they don't know how to properly do something, such as fly. The Force is basically, well he can explain that (points to [member="Darth Erebos"]), a Jedi is one type of Force user, and a paper-cut is when you cut some part of your body with a piece of paper, such as a scroll. Think I answered all of the questions you have my fine little friend." I say as I watch the happenings around me, 'maybe I could help, I have some medicine in my ship. I could also use the Force to help.' Then I realize something. "C7 get to the ship now bring me my portable workbench and my med-kit." C7 doesn't ask questions as he can tell where I am going with this. Ive done it once and once before. It takes a matter of seconds for C7 to return with the workbench and medications. "Good, now if you would mind to help me." I open the workbench and the med-kit as I start to mix stuff together in a beaker, "Ok now a little this, and a little that. Hey medical droid, I think your a medical droid? Can you diagnose what she has?"

[member="Petri"] [member="Deio and Dahlia Leafwalker"] [member="NG-888 "Eights""]

Eight's servos whirred in surprise. The force user he had thought to be irrelevant was becoming slightly more interesting. His hackney and haphazard half-assery of a healer's help would need to be improved upon, but at least he had the correct supplies for the job. The scene was, well, ridiculous. A blind guy and a bat with their hands on a sick little girl being carried by a terrified child. Off to the side, a man in a glorified tank top mixing random ingredients like some crazed alchemists. Clearly, the scene needed the rationality of a droid.

"Not to disrespect, but I believe that medical help would be a good complement to your force healing. Sir, I don't know your name, but I believe that your medical supplies will be of use. Though I am a diplomatic droid rather than a medical one, my programming allows me to give a differential diagnosis."

Eights gave a brief scan, noting her symptoms, heat signatures, and x-ray structure.

"Ikopi Fever. I'm almost sure of it. Tank top

"Judging by her symptoms and living conditions, it seems likely that this is Ikopi Fever. In fact, I'm almost sure of it. Tank top and lightsaber, I admire your immediate assistance and antidote, but I suggest you concede your workbench to me to create the proper medication. I'm sure your experienced, but this needs the precision of a droid."

"Hmmm, Ikopi Fever.... You can help, as long as you don't break my workbench, its expensive." I hand over the workbench and medical supplies to @NG-888 "Eights" while I run back to my ship, "I have some more supplies in my ship hopefully. I also have some eyesight medication if it helps." I return with everything that could be of medical use, "Hopefully this will help."

Dahlia felt big, comforting arms wrapped around her, rocking her slowly. "Fúmë, selyë-nín. Nesta brethil-nín, Eärendil." (sleep, my daughter. Eärendil, heal my princess) "Adar." She called out to her father. (father)

Deio looked up at [member="Darth Erebos"] with hope in his eyes, ignoring the droid and the other guy. He could tell that would be helping very soon.

"Is she gonna be okay, sir?" Dahila shifted again. Her breathing was back to normal, but the fever still hadn't broken. Daylight began to fade slowly as dusk made its approach.
