Just Sleep, Just Dream (Open)

Eights's sixteen fingers blurred with motion as he sorted, mixed, and reacted different materials and compounds. The provided ingredients weren't enough to do anything on their own, but the mixture Eights was making might just work. As the sun began to set, Eights's concoction was complete. He flipped one finger into a syringe and drew out a measured amount of the mixture. He turned the ill girl with an antiseptic swab to begin.

It seemed that the force user had allowed her breathing to stabilize. This would make the process much easier. The boy looked terrified to see a droid coming at his sister with a needle.

"It's alright, child. This is a pharmaceutical that should stop the fever and normalize her internal temperature. This and a good night's sleep should drive out the virus causing her these issues. If you let me do this, she'll be okay."

Without waiting for a response, Eights swabbed her and injected a small amount of the medicine into a prominent leg vein. She was too small to have any viable wrist veins. What a sad sight, to see a girl as young as her so deathly ill. Hopefully, this would end her suffering. Until the next virus came along, that is.

Eights had made his decision. He was going to have the hospital tore down, remade to galactic standards, and allowed free access to all. He couldn't let this happen a second time. Children should not be forced to get help from strangers on the street.

Erebos smiled and with his other hand ruffled Deio's hair a little. "She will be all right, just give me time to concentrate, this is a little more tiring that it looks." He said with a kind smile and then sat down in a meditative posture and took Dahlia into his arms so he could focus the force through both his hands as he made sure that her brother could sit in front of him and watch over his sister. The injection from eights did help as it removed a problem that he would have to move some of his focus on. Working in conjunction with the formula eight's had made Erebos brought himself close to exhaustion to make sure that the girls disease was gone from her system.

"Now she will just need to, as the droid put it, get a good nights rest. Where do you two sleep?" Erebos then asked with a smile as he gently stood with Dahlia in his arm and offered his other to Deio so he could show him. The vespine Petri though weird was of course welcomed to land on his shoulder if he wished. Erebos just got a little tired watching the small creature flap it's wings so vigorously,

He scuttled out of one of the dark alleyways across the street, his dark maroon eyes would emit light from the darkness. He watches the events unfold carefully, before scratching the wall impatiently. He lets out a growl as he grows more and more impatient. He would notice the young children as he does he emits a quiet grunt shrugging them off, as if he did not notice them before setting his eyes onto [member="Darth Erebos"] and [member="Matthew (Rogue) Drevur"].

The voices in his head telling him to charge out, introduce himself. He chooses against the voices, staying put in the shadows. His tall stature would peer out slightly, turning his head left and right as he focuses his eyes down and around them to check for any others, before shrugging slightly, flicking his ears forwards listening carefully.

I sense [member="Honas'di"], "Someone is watching us. I don't like it when I am watched." And with that I shove my glasses back into my pocket, and my mask slides from the top of my helmet to cover my face. "I need to get to Voss, i'm visiting my friend there (Note this is before the attack Dredge made on Voss). I need to get back to my ship." I say picking up all my items that I took with me, including my med-kit and workbench. "And before you say thank you I say your welcome!" I walk toward my ship, the Luna, I turn around and address [member="Darth Erebos"], "You know where to find me if you need me. All of you, OH WAIT! I forgot something." I run toward my ship, shove my items in a crate, and grab a holopad and some credits. I go to Deio and hand him the items, "Sorry you have to live like this kid, I had the whole life of luxury experience for my entire life, and you haven't. Its sad, I know. Now here is three hundred credits that I got during a shipment, and when I say shipment I do not mean raid, maybe I do but enough with that. And the holopad you can use to play games, watch the news, and do other stuff its fun. See you later, have a good day!" And with that I hop back into my ship and fly into the sky, the stars blur, time and space slows, and I am jumped to hyperspace. "Hey C7 whose holopad was that?"

Petri laughed a little as the girl's condition seemed to strengthen. With so many beings working together, using their different abilities to help one person, it was almost certain to succeed. Petri let his mind sweep over the consciousnesses of the others, and felt [member="Darth Erebos"]'s approval to rest. With an unceremonious fluttering of the wings, Petri let his light body droop onto the Darth's shoulder. He was tired from lending his energy to the man, and needed a bit of a break. Petri had gained a few details when he had done his cursory sweep as well, and wanted to ask a few questions.

"You can do the magic too, right? How can we do the magic? Also, do your eyes not work? Also..." The little Vespert's voice trailed off as his large ears swiveled around. The little bat had heard something. A small growl, a scratching noise. Petri relayed the information to Erebos via telepathy, and stayed silent. His survival instinct kicked in, and he tried to stay as still as possible, blend in with the man's dark robes. Petri knew one thing; he didn't like predators.

He would shut his eyes, for several moments before letting out a few mumbles. He would take a step forwards, revealing half of his identity as the light shined down onto one half of his tall masculine body. His voice would seem deep and had a distinct accent about it, easy to remember in the future.

"I've been watching." He pointed out, towering over them as he idly inspected them all individually. Sharply snaps his head in the direction Matthew went watching him idly, with squinted eyes before returning to the others. He would place his hands behind his back, his spear would poke out over his shoulder.

Deio watched the scene before him take place as dusk began to darken. He held his sister tightly when the droid came forward with the needle, but let it and the man do their work even though he did not understand what [member="NG-888 (Eights)"] meant by pharmaceutical. Deio assumed he meant medicine, which he was not off on. Dahlia's face had regained some of its color during healing process, and she now looked like she was sleeping.

"Eärendil aglareb." (glorious Eärendil)

When asked to show them where they had been living. Deio stood up, content and trusting that his sister was safe in [member="Darth Erebos"]' hands, and began walking towards the alleyway. He was stopped by [member="Matthew (Rogue) Drevur"], who said his goodbyes and gave Deio the generous gift. Deio bowed slightly in respect before the man went on his way.

"I live down-" Deio, with the heightened senses of his species, also sensed [member="Honas'di"] step out from his place among the shadows. He stepped slightly behind the man who held his sister, knowing the thing before him was out of his league by a lot.

[member="Petri"]

Eights stepped forward next to the blind man, leading slightly in front of the two children. He wasn't sure what the towering man-wolf-thing was exactly, but it didn't look friendly. Eights searched his internal database for a moment before identifying the creature. Ah. A Nelvaanian. Of course. Even for one of these tribal lupines, this figure was massive. He ran thousands of defense scenarios in the next five seconds, readying himself for an attack.

Of course, he would present kindly to the Nelvaanian. He was, of course, a diplomat at heart. But even a three meter lupine would submit to 40,000 volts if the need came. Constantly carrying a massive spear didn't exactly portray a kindly nature.

"Hello. As you may have noticed, this issue has been resolved, so if you were to offer medical help it is no longer needed. If otherwise, may I help you?"

Eights's wrists sparked aggressively. He was preparing for the worst.

The Nelvaanian would release a grunt, as the droid spoke. He could sense the fear in the child, it fed him. Kept him going. Though, he resisted the urge to rip each and every one of them shreds and simply, nodded his head; quickly exhaling deeply before speaking once more, this time a lot deeper.

"I am fine. I-" He cuts himself off, quickly darting back into the shadows, fearing he could not control his voice's in his mind for much longer, the blood lust to tear them apart. It was uncontrollable.

He simply, dug his claws into the wall, before climbing up it onto the rooftop above, he'd then leap across to the next, watching them from above with squinted eyes. He growls once more, before emitting a few words under his breath.

"You're lucky."

[member="NG-888 (Eights)"] [member="Deio and Dahlia Leafwalker"] [member="Darth Erebos"]

As Erebos watched as [member="NG-888 (Eights)"] moved in to help him cover the children from [member="Honas'di"], he had to smile a little to himself. While Honas'di was impressively built he wasn't very trained in the force while Erebos was a sith lord with experience and power on his side if anything. Though he did look like he was crawling out of his late teens, he was in fact somewhere around thirty so he had the experience that came with age while also having the body of youth.
[member="Petri"] would probably marvel at the things Erebos could do as pure magic but then againt his wasn't the time for that, before he could chime in his comment though the Nelvaanian jumped away, he couldn't hide very well for if he could see Erebos then Erebos could see him. Force sensetives stuck out like sore thumbs with the way he saw which was the force itself.

With [member="Deio and Dahlia Leafwalker"] covered he turned around again to look at Deio. "Are you all right?" He asked as he placed his hand reassuringly on the boy's shoulder. "Don't worry I wouldn't heal your sister only to have both of you get hurt so soon afterwards. An if you keep this between you and me, I'm not really a dedicated healer though I was able to help your sister." He said with a smile as he moved his hand from the boy's shoulder and with a small gesture of his hand created a small bird of blue flame that was warm to the touch but not burning. It acted much like a bird would as it hopped around Erebos's palm and then flew into the air before it dispersed into thin air.
There was something though about Honas'di that bothered him, he reminded Erebos of one of his apprentices that had dealt with a similar problem, an inner madness so to speak.

Deio nodded and smiled, intrigued by the little blue bird of flame. Once the bird dissipated, Deio turned back towards the alleyway.

"This is where we stay. sir." The alleyway was actually not as bad as some would think. There was a neat little shelter, which Deio and Dahlia had built together. It was small with some protection from the elements, and there was a sort of old trunk next to it. In the trunk contained their father's bow and quiver, a book written in a strange language, and a few other family heirlooms that the children left with.

Turning to the man, Deio gestured around him.

"This is our home."

[member="Darth Erebos"] [member="Honas'di"] @NG-888 (Eights) [member="Petri"]

Seeing how [member="Deio and Dahlia Leafwalker"] lived made Erebos feel a tinge of.. compassion? Well it would be a first for him but it still left a bad taste in his mouth. He could easily buy and keep up a house for the two to live in given the considerable funds he had at his disposal not only due to his station but his company as well. Then however came the thought to him, would they want it? To have a home of their own, someone to take care of them?
He put those thoughts away and looked towards Deio. "Your sister will need to sleep in a bed for tonight so that she will recover in the best possible way." He said with a smiled as he stood up and looked towards [member="NG-888 (Eights)"]. "Tell me are there any good hotels or places for sale around here?" He asked while he moved his other hand to poke the top of [member="Petri"]'s head. "I can teach you a little magic if you want little guy." He then added to him with a smile.

[member="Honas'di"]

Eights was relieved to see that they were living in more than just a gutter, but the blind man had a good point. If this girl was to get better, she needed somewhere to stay for a night. If best, these children should have a permanent home! However, Eights was very tight for credits. He couldn't afford... well... anything. He'd have to hope that the blind man was generous.

"I know an inn nearby that would take these two for the night... for a price. There's also some open housing nearby. Unfortunately, I'm flat broke. If you could spot these two for the night, I'd be very grateful. They deserve it."

Eights hated to plead, but there was no other way to ensure these children's safety.

Petri squeaked happily as he heard that the little girl would be okay. Petri had begun to think that he hadn't helped enough. He was entranced by the little blue firebird as well. He had never seen any magic quite like it, and almost felt the need to introduce himself to the apparition before it dissipated.

Petri turned to [member="Darth Erebos"] in wonder. "That was the best magic I have ever seen, yes it was! You can teach me to do the magic? That would be..." Lacking the words to express his excitement, the little Vespert flapped up and around all gathered, stopping at [member="NG-888 (Eights)"]. "Hello! I did not say hi! I am Petri!" Now in an excited fervor, the little bat fluttered down to the two children. "I am Petri! Yep, that's me! The big man said that he would teach me how to magic! That is exciting!"

Petri did a few tumultuous loops in the air, and then found his perch on Darth Erebos's shoulder. He noticed their talk about finding shelter, but didn't contribute. Who could even think about sleeping at a time like this? Petri was going to learn about his magic!

Deio smiled at the little bat.

"Hi Petri, I am Deio, and the little girl is my twin, Dahlia."

Deio thought a bit more. What was one place where Dahlia would heal the fastest? A place popped into his head, but he was unsure if it had been sold or not.

"I-I may know a place, but I'm not sure if it's still under out name or not. It would be the best place for my sister to heal if it is. It would be free of cost, a-and there may be some food too." Deio was so unsure, but he knew his sister needed rest, and he didn't want to trouble the man and robot any further, nor have them pay any money for the two orphans' sake.

He would grunt his amusement, shaking his head slightly as he stared down to them from the rooftop. He would pounce across a few more, until he would be directly above them. Faint growling could be hear from above, as he simply observed them all work together, to help these children. It made him feel sick, disgusted him.

His eyes layed upon [member="Darth Erebos"] with slight intrigue, before shrugging. His lips would purse going to speak, but simply choosing to remain silent.

Observing.

[member="Deio and Dahlia Leafwalker"] [member="Petri"] [member="NG-888 (Eights)"]

Erebos could feel [member="Honas'di"] eyes on him and he smiled to himself, making it seem he was smiling at the exchange between [member="Deio and Dahlia Leafwalker"] and [member="Petri"], though it was amusing as well. With a slight gesture, disguised as combing his hair back he let a small sith barrage spark come from just in front of Honas'di, erupting from the rooftop instead of anywhere near Erebos's location or even coming from him at all so as to not alert the others. The message however was clear from him 'Don't even try it, I can end you without exerting myself in the slightest.' This wasn't the only thing he did however, he also looked up at Honas'di and let him feel the full weight of the force power he was suppressing so that petri wouldn't feel it as much from him.

[member="NG-888 (Eights)"] Did his job perfectly as well, without even having to manipulate the droid to ask a question he had forgotten to ask and Deio had answered with an intriguing answer in kind. "This place you spoke of what is it?" He asked Deio after wards and then petted Petri a little as a way of asking him to calm down just a little bit. "If you want to learn magic little petri, you'll have to learn to be patient." He then said with a chuckle at the end.

Deio hesitated, knowing if he did not tread carefully, it would raise questions about the twin's past life before they were o the streets.

"Well, It's an abandoned house near the edge of the city. Dahlia and I stayed there once, when there were a lot of storms. It is very nice and there are enough beds for all of us, including some medical supplies." Deio made a small smile, then went over to the trunk and pulled out the book, his father's twin knives, and a ring with two keys on it, putting the knives on and lock the chest with the larger of the two keys. Proceeding to cover the trunk in case anyone came down the alleyway while they were gone.

Turning back to [member="Darth Erebos"], [member="Petri"], and [member="NG-888 (Eights)"], he stood up straight and began to head back to the exit of the alleyway.

"Shall we?"

Petri hummed happily as he was pet by [member="Darth Erebos"]. The gesture sent the little Vespert into a hilariously relaxed state, so much so that he almost fell off of the Darth's shoulder. Regaining his footing, Petri yawned. "Shall we... Shall we what? If you..." He yawned again, little pink gums flashing. "If you are trying to say that we should leave, then... hmm..." The little bat began to close it's eyes drowsily, and quickly snapped back awake. The problem with a high metabolism is that when one crashes, they really crash. "Oh! Um... Yeah. Let's go!"

Petri flapped up a few feet from his perch, doing a few lazy loops in the air, before crashing down into Dahlia's stomach weakly. "I... I'm just going to rest here for a... hmm... mmm..." The tired little being blinked drowsily, and closed his beady little eyes. The Vespert was now almost as unconscious as the girl.
