Justice Shall Prevail [Open to SSC, PM if interested]

All of a sudden, people began to voice their opinions. Some were clearly wanting this young man to pay for his crimes, Others wanted a pure sense of justice, and the number of people wanted the facts out first before they would judge. Which was a good sign. This meant there were a healthy collection of all sides to determine which might be the best course of action for this lad. The brother of a man I once taught in the force came forward as a person of interest. One who aided in the capture of this Silver Jedi. He was a rather tough individual. I could see it in his species. Even in his brother, as well as him. His comment of the lad telling us how he threatened others, I was about to speak mentioning that words can mean many things, and taken many different ways unless documented by some recording.

However, I was beaten to it by the 'Child' Master within our group. Wanting the facts to come out. And mentioning what I wanted to say. However, he seemed to not like how we were going with these proceedings. Many voiced that the destruction of property would not be the leading charge. I agreed. It wouldn't be the one to make or break this incident. However, it should be taken into account. If you are in a war, and you destroy a building to save the lives of countless people, that's one thing. But destroying senselessly is another. I wanted to find out which.

Even as the young man seemed to purposefully regurgitate upon the King of another nation, It was clear this boy was not one who wanted everything blamed on him. He wanted the quickest way out. First claiming he was innocent, then guilty by my prodding, followed by a very quick summary of what had happened, profit leading ideals, as well as voicing the idea of being betrayed when he had knowingly sold someone much like they would a slave. Only to speak, and say he betrayed a friend. The lad was washy and switched things up. Only letting us in on details when we pushed him to provide them.

Either he wasn't thinking clearly, or he wanted out, and fast.

"Akhilleus, We are here to figure out the incident. Not to promote sentences upon a young man when even I do not know the whole truth, or have complete understanding of what happened. Until then, please find a seat, and when called upon you may enter your imput. I also say this to keep the two of you separated. We will not have fighting in here."

After looking him over, I trusted that he would understand. As much as his position gave him power on his homeworld, it would not help him here as a witness. His words would be kept, but not adhered to just at his whim.

"Master Sor-Jan, We are looking at all charges that are being held against him. Yes, destruction is not the major point. However, I can find the people that had property destroyed from either instance, and ask them what they would think of this situation. War, or in a smaller setting, it is to be considered. I thank you for your Imput. Each case is different, and is judged as such."

Turning to see the various people, I could feel many emotions from anger, to sympathy, and even disgust. However, I had to speak my mind on this for everyone to understand what was happening.

"We shall be civil about this proceeding. If you feel the need to cause harm, then leave. The purpose here is to find the reasoning behind the motives for all parties involved that are currently here and accounted for. If you have a question, speak plainly."

Turning to the man in question,

"Undin, You are charged with various acts against you. You plead innocent, then guilty. You change your mind, and only provide us information on a need to know basis, when it should all come out now. If you do not comply with providing any, and all information on the incidents that have taken place, additional charges can be applied. I do not want to be here as much as you do. I do not like seeing someone at such a young age being tried for crimes that even Sith have not committed. We know that your motive is one of profit. You wanted to gain credits on the side, and it turned against you. However, that does not explain your actions of selling someone into slavery. Even if you did not know they were being purchased as a slave, it can be considered slavery for the selling of people is forbidden in a large portion of governments and communities. Explain yourself, in detail, about why, and how you came to this conclusion to sell someone."

Undin breathed clearly , even as the smell of the vomit on his armour , made him want to gag , and tried to explain at the best he could , his reasoning , which he had to admit , wasn't the best one.
"I..I , He came back for revenge , an..and I wanted to make sure that he wouldn't come back , I thought that maybe selling him , would be the best way to get rid of him , plus gaining a few credits , to feed myself. I admit to having done my crim---", the boy jumped and stopped speaking , when he saw a huge monster standing behind the Grandmaster , if it was real or just a side effect of the drug he took before being frozen , it was unclear to him. His first instict was to yell at the Grandmaster to get down and got his lightsaber out , "Master , there's a creature behind you!". He hold his saber up , to try and defend himself if said creature , if it did even exist , attacked.

Kurayami quirked an eyebrow at the display. Nothing here really made sense to him right now, were the charges related to one another outside of the fact that the same person had committed said acts? Or was that the only connection to be gleaned? This kid wanted out and fast, that was clear. Kurayami nodded slowly while listening to Xander speak in response to Akhilleus. He couldn't say that he blamed Xander for his words. It was still a reaction that seemed a bit quick, but he understood that such things needed to be contained before it devolved into a madhouse.

He rested his right foot on the pillar behind him, still leaning against it for support. When the child answered about why he had sold the other boy, Kurayami shook his head. How did that seem to be an okay thing to do in any circumstance? He had raided slaving camps, seen the conditions those people lived in, seen corpses simply left in piles to be burned. The ones who awaited cremation were the lucky ones in the end. The mental and emotional toll it could take on someone was immense. Though his blood was boiling that this child would go so far simply to make sure another could not exact vengeance, likely not undeserved, sickened him.

The explanation stopped part way through and the child began yelling about some sort of monster or another. Kurayami closed his eyes and took a deep breath to recenter himself, balance in all things. Where the child got a saber from Kurayami didn't know, but his left hand found his hilt and rested on it gently. He would not bring harm to the child, but he would not allow such harm to be visited upon others gathered here either. His dark brown gaze locked with the boy watching carefully for any sign of hostile intent.

After speaking her brief peace, Joza remained quiet for the remainder of the proceedings. Sor-Jan had called for facts to be presented rather than sticking to verbal interrogation, and she had to agree with the point he’d brought up. The Zeltron had only a basic idea of how trials worked, most of her “knowledge” being gathered from late-night courtroom holodramas. Of course the laws and judiciary system differed from planet to planet, and even now she was unclear how to proceed properly. Shouldn’t there be more witnesses? So far the only one to have spoken up was Akhilleus. Lawyers? Were those a thing here? Probably not.

Regardless, Undin’s next actions were entirely unexpected. Something about a creature behind Thurion, and suddenly the boy on trial had an activated lightsaber in his grasp. She hadn’t sensed any presence out of place even among their guest, and had no doubt that the Masters and Knights present would have also noticed and handled said creature accordingly.

Regardless, Joza extended an arm and quickly formed a tight bubble of Force around Undin before he could lash out at anything, imaginary or not. “Why does he have a weapon?” Her voice was steady, but held a tinge of surprise to it. Now that she thought about it, this was sort of like an episode of Judge Joodar.

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Matsu had been sitting there on the far end in the back and rocking her leg, not from nerves but she had Kia with her today which gave Hanna a break and she was listening to what had been happening. Her attention was on much more of what had been happening then how or why, she had met the boy and he had seemed troubled but in their training session he hadn't seemed this flustered or unhinged. The danger of transporting someone from carbonite and then directly starting a proceedings. She was focused on the child and listening to the other masters who were there like Son who pointed out young looking species as well as some of the other things before he somehow got a weapon out and she raised an eyebrow pulling the little girl in close. Her five children had four able to take care of themselves but she wasn't going to let a padawan endanger them. "Calm yourself padawan."

A bubble formed around Undin , but the monster was still there , it was standing still , like it was taunting him. Then , the boy heard a very familiar voice, a voice that made him drop his saber , making the blade die , as the button was unpressed , one that made him want to stop existing at that exact moment. His master's voice [member="Matsu Ike"] . She had been there , and heard Undin , well atleast for the monster part , since he hadn't noticed her until then. His eyes deviated from the GrandMaster's back to the back row of the seats. It was truly her.

“Why does he have a weapon?”

The Anzat heard the question, and was in somewhat of a disbelief that it would have even had to leave her lips.

Why were they putting someone on trial who was under the effect of hibernation sickness? Or drugs intended to mitigate the sickness, but which induced a state of nausea in the midst of a trial?

Why were they asked to put a padawan on trial in which there was conflicting testimony supported only by contradictory statements. Claims were made, without any material facts or evidence to support them.

Rising from his seat, the small Corellian Jedi walked out from the proceedings.

The situation, such as it was, did not improve. For his part, the boy again acknowledged what he'd done. Threats were offered in response to the vomit on the floor. Xander made a valiant effort to keep things calm, and would have succeeded but for another misstep by Undin. In the middle of speaking, he gave a small jump. At the conclusion of that jump, a lightsaber was lit and a warning sounded. Apparently there was some sort of creature behind Thurion. Of course, it was a creature that no others could see. A ripple of...something was felt around the room. Shock, disbelief, disappointment...all of that and more.

At least one Jedi reacted, imposing something Force-based - he expected it was a sort of shield - between the Grandmaster and the accused. Another spoke, telling the boy to calm himself. Matsu Ike, and she had called him Padawan. At her words, the kid let the hilt drop, the blade dying as it fell. Crisis, short as it was, over.

The latest bit of this trial was even more confirmation for Audren that something was not right here. The boy was acting oddly: he denied than confirmed his acts between the space of a few sentences, he vomited, he saw things that weren't present. 'Not right' was an understatement...he seemed to be getting good at those. Maybe it was an effect of the carbonite freezing, maybe it was something else altogether. But it was clear that it was something. And that meant this trial was now on hold, or it should be.

"Clearly there is something not right. I recommend this be put on hold until the boy is deemed fit to stand trial."

It wasn't what he'd envisioned himself saying, not even close. It was, however, the right thing to do. Undin would get time to recover, to think over both what he'd done and what his responses would be. Fact-finders would be able to look into the events and get to the truth. Thurion would be able to determine potential punishments and not have to make them up on the fly. And the rest of them wouldn't have to watch the circus unravel. Clearly, Sor-Jan agreed with the last part, since he left the room as Audren spoke.

Allowing anyone who wished to speak ample time to do so, Thurion remained on the floor with his eyes locked firmly with [member="Undin Jaii Kryze"]. Many voiced their disgust for his crimes, while others questioned why this was even a trial. Something like this can never be easily resolved, and remains one of the least enjoyable duties that comes with leadership. He doubted anyone really wished to be there, but issues as severe as this must be dealt with, firmly and before I evolves into another beast entirely.

Then suddenly, the boy cried 'monster' and somehow managed to summon a lightsaber into his possession. Thurion took a step back just as Undin was encapsulated within a protective bubble, and he sent a grateful nod to [member="Joza Perl"] for her swift intervention. While the accused had been pacified, the Grandmaster stepped forward once more and called upon the teenager's attention. "Undin, there is no monster here, in this room. I fear your mind is playing tricks on you, either brought on by the after-effects of being frozen... or something far darker." Eyes squinted as he attempted to discern the reason why he would pull a weapon so rashly, but he found nothing. Perhaps it was just a ploy to have the trial interrupted.

"Enough of this," he then raised a hand to silence the room. "Undin, we have several people here who witnessed you commit these crimes. The Sanctum has fought against slavery since its conception - we've made enemies of every slavery ring operating throughout the Outer Rim, for Force's sake! And you go ahead and sell them a person - a person, Undin - with only the greed for credits in mind?" Thurion composed himself and ran a hand through his hair. "Regardless of these accusations ringing true or false, you are in no condition to be set free in your current state. I therefore place you under house arrest until this matter is well and truly settled. You will be well-cared-for with regular meals, and the healers will see to your physical and mental health. Any attempt to escape will be met with appropriate punishment."

With a wave of his hand a pair of guards entered the room to take the boy away. "Court adjourned..." Having to sentence a child tore at him greatly, and so Thurion slumped down into the nearest seat with head in his hands.

"But...but... but I have no home." , the boy said as he was being taken away by the guards. Would he be impresoned in the temple until the end of his days? He knew not. All he knew right now , is that he was forked. Really forked. "What about Thar? He relies on me to live. He lived on the V-Wing that Akhilleus destroyed with him inside. He was lucky to escape alive." , Thar really had no home after the V-Wing was destroyed.

He regret every wrong decision he had made until then. He learned one hard lesson that day , whatever you do , comes to bite you back in the butt sooner or later.
