STRENGTHS

• Warship Incarnate: Above all else the Kaas-Class fills the role of Star Destroyer quite well. It boasts an extensive compliment of weaponry across its hull that works well at all ranges, from long distance duels to broadside barrages it can reliably perform. The dual shield array reinforced hull ensures a decent defense against similarly heavily armed ships and the more sophisticated sensor and communication suites ensure that it can function as a command ship in a fleet just fine. Although it is at its best when spearheading a battle rather than leading one.

WEAKNESSES

• Hangar Deficiency: While the Kaas-Class boasts an impressive arsenal and respectable battle capabilities, it has a noticeably lacking fighter compliment. The vessel sports a fairly minor hangar in terms of size and positioning, being a single large bay at the bottom. This hinderance not only extends to a lack of starfighter housing and deployment capability but also hinders more auxiliary tasks such as planetary invasion.

DESCRIPTION
With war against the neighboring powers not just an oncoming obstacle but a very present and real affair for the Sith Order to tackle, the minds and factories of Sanguine Defense Works were quick to set to work producing the ships that had been designed by their predecessors at the Inquisitorial Armory. The Eliminator Cruiser would be the largest ship produced thus far but with the need to replenish losses after the most recent conflicts and the rumors of a new Legion in the works, a new dedicated warship design would be crafted and set to production.

The Kaas-Class Star Destroyer would be the first ship in a line meant to bulk out and strengthen the capital ships of the Sith Order. While relatively basic in design this allows for them to be produced at a great scale and without much need for more exotic materials and components, meaning easier upkeep and repair as well. Streamlined production may have been one focus of the design process but the other was firepower and battle prowess. While not necessarily agile by any means, the Kaas-Class can keep up with any ship of its class with ease and as such is not just a monolith of weaponry but a flexible strongpoint in any battle line.

As befitting a capital ship it also features a somewhat sophisticated sensor and communication suite, allowing it to act as a command ship and core of a fleet or battlegroup. It's hangar capabilities do leave much to be desired which does require a more dedicated carrier ship to be attached to the Kaas-Class to ensure fighter superiority in battle. However despite this slight flaw the Kaas-Class nonetheless serves as a reliable and powerful warship for frontline naval warfare.
