STRENGTHS
- All Power to the Engines!: The Kesmas-Class Cruiser was designed for sublight pursuit, its already impressive speed can be increased yet further by transferring power from weaponry or shields to the engines.
- A Rain of Missiles: Though it possesses a number of Turbolaser and Laser canon batteries, the real danger of the Kesmas comes from its heavy concussion missiles as it processes a significant number of missile tubes.
- Slave-Crew: Thanks to the work of Darth Nefaron, the crew aboard most Kesmas-Class vessels are little more than broken husks designed for their task, they will not panic during the heat of battle.
- Just a bit of Radiation: The reactor aboard Kesmas-Class vessels is far from secure, rapid construction has led to radiation leakage which can often damage internal components or kill crew who happen to linger too long around it.
- No Better than Droids: The Slave crew also has its downsides, the slaves often are reliant on orders from a superior being and cannot properly adapt to situations that require creativity.
- Intensify Forward Fire Power!: The Kesmas lacks any weaponry on its stern, making it especially vulnerable to attacks from behind or on its engines.
From the fortress-world of Anoat, Darth Nefaron readies his forces fo an assault on the galaxy. While his vast Corpse Legion grows in number with each new slave ship that arrives, the Corpse Lord has lacked a fleet to truly terrorize worlds. To that end, Nefaron's forces have actively sought out intelligent beings to enslave to their cause, treating them a bit better than the common rank and file to ensure their mind endured the horrors that were Nefaron's fortress. From their long hours of labor, the initial design for the Kesmas-Class was born.
Inspired by ancient Sith designs, the Kesmas is a beast of raw firepower, designed to hunt its prey and utterly annihilate anything in its path. While some of the safety features aboard the ship were somewhat lacking, the ship's ability to destroy and slaughter more than made up for it. Nefaron's empire is still confined to a single system, so any ship larger than the Kesmas is not possible without a significant influx of resources, but the slave-yards have begun production of the vessel in earnest to populate Nefaron's fleet and ensure he is no longer reliant on other Sith to ensure orbital dominance.
Nefaron is also inclined to distribute the Kesmas-Class as a reward to his loyal servants or other Sith who have provided him some aid in the past. It is but the first in a growing armada of vessels that will soon blacken the skies of countless worlds all over the galaxy.
