SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Forged of Kov'dra – The blade is highly resistant to lightsabers, Force-based manipulation, and kinetic stress.
  • Combat-Memory Blade – Kov'dra "remembers" motion; repeated exposure to enemy patterns improves parry/counter precision over time.
  • Family heritage Glyphs – Some blades feature ancient Draconic runes tied to warrior lineages or battle oaths.
  • Edge Retention – The blade remains eternally sharp unless deliberately dulled or struck with extreme force
  • Legacy Bond – Some blades attune slightly to their wielder's grip and stance after prolonged use.

STRENGTHS
  • Lightsaber & Force Resistant – Excellent for dueling Force users or defending against saber-wielding opponents.
  • Nearly Unbreakable – Kov'dra blades retain structural integrity through high-impact or prolonged combat conditions.
  • Battle-Tested Across Generations – The blade carries both symbolic and practical legacy; some are linked to ancient Kiev'arian houses.
  • Intimidating Presence – Kov'dra blades emit a low hum or whisper when drawn, that can be unsettling to Force-sensitives.

WEAKNESSES
  • Heavy and Demanding – Requires physical strength and discipline to wield properly; not viable for acrobatic or finesse-based styles.
  • Cumbersome in Close Quarters – The blade's full length becomes a liability in confined environments like ruins or ships.
  • Force-Dead Feedback – Force users may feel dulled or spiritually disconnected while wielding the blade. especially if they are not used to the effects of Kov'dra
  • Unmodifiable – Modern tech cannot bond to Kov'dra, and tampering with it risks ruining its natural balance or disrupting its properties.
  • High-Lethality Risk – Its weight and eternal edge leave no margin for error; even minor misjudgments can lead to friendly-fire incidents.

DESCRIPTION
The Kiev'arian Longsword was the standard-issue weapon of Kiev'ara's military forces, wielded by Earthbound sentries, Airborne skirmishers, and city-guard patrols alike. Forged from Kov'dra, a sacred metal once rich in the energies of the Living Force, these blades were designed to be both functional and enduring. Though they were not rare in their prime, each longsword was a reflection of a warrior's lineage and role—no two were ever truly the same.

These swords featured a long, straight blade, with wyrmhide-wrapped grips, utilitarian crossguards, and a distinctive green-metallic sheen that marked their composition. Along the spine of every blade, individual family crests were etched by the smith or wearer, often representing generations of warriors, house affiliations, or oaths taken. While mass-issued, these swords carried personal meaning and deep cultural identity for those who bore them.

In battle, the Kiev'arian Longsword proved itself against both mundane and unnatural threats. Its Kov'dra edge never dulled, and it withstood extreme temperatures, corrosion, or brute impact without cracking or bending. During the wars against the Rakata, these weapons became especially revered for their ability to resist Force-enhanced weaponry and withstand unnatural conditions, even if they had no mystical enhancements themselves.

But in the modern age, after the fall of Kiev'ara and the death of its sun, the very nature of Kov'dra changed. Where once the metal resonated with the Force, empowering and amplifying its wielder, it now repels it completely. Force-sensitives report a jarring numbness when wielding the blade an unsettling sensation of disconnection, as though the weapon resents the Force's touch. Telekinetic manipulation fails to grip it. Precognitive reflexes falter around it. The sword has become a severed fragment of a severed world.

Though once common, the fall of Kiev'ara and the extinction of its people rendered these swords increasingly rare, their numbers lost in buried cities and collapsed temples. Today, any recovered Kiev'arian Longsword is seen as a powerful relic prized for both its utility and its connection to a civilization that died with blade in hand. To wield one now is to carry not the weight of legend but the memory of countless warriors who once did the same.
