Killteam (Dominion, Chiloon and Irn, Round 2)

"It seems we've gone mostly unnoticed." Stanley's voice keyed in through the group's comms as Rook connected him to the informational port. A far more complete version of the station's interior formed on the team's minimap's now, as well as a stream of unrelated information that might prove of interest to the operation. "Hold a tick, looks like we have some friends on the way. A droid engineering team is coming to seal up the patch made by the ship."

A brief silence followed as Rook gestured toward the doors they had come in from. "They'll know about us soon enough. The station's primary reactor seems to be on the lower levels, and the hangers are on the upper level. How long can you keep the doors open for us?"

Stanley answered immediately. "With Miranda's help? Quite some time, though there are bulkheads we will have trouble getting through without a manual interface. I believe Miss Eriss will be more than capable of dealing with those problems, however." The AI chuckled, "Miranda and I do work well with one another, after all."

The soldier replied with a simple grunt and stepped forward. Another path had been marked on their maps - this way led through three sections of hallways, a lounge, and then an factory chambers before it terminated at an elevator. Unfortunately for the team, that was the closest way down.

Metal feet stomped through the corridor. Six massive humanoid automatons were bumbling through the hall. All carried fusion cutters, and two were armed with standard ARs. The group of droids came to a halt in front of the boarding pod, and though they lacked facial features, one could tell they were rather confused.

"Cameras?"

"Cycling on an old feed. I can guarantee you thirty seconds. Can you scramble their comms Miranda? I'm a bit preoccupied fighting off their security measures."

"Weapons free Ironmaw. Take them down before they can report back to their superiors." Alexander's rifle barked as tungsten bolts ripped one of the droids in scattered metal detritus. Another lost the arm carrying its fusion cutter. That was when they turned on the intruders, cutters raised as they charged at an inhuman speed down the hall, the two armed with rifles firing wildly down the corridor in an attempt to suppress the soldiers.

Thus had the battle truly begun.

Marcus's mind was wracked with information streams. It came in elongated lists, shimmering down the edges of his peripheral vision. After a quick second, Miranda noticed and quickly minimized all internal systems for her dear host. Firing off a mental thank-you, the mercenary continued with his handiwork.

Shouldering the submachine gun, he quickly zeroed in on the droids that had been spotted and highlighted with crimson diamonds. Iron might with only a few processors. Short work really but their inhuman speed and agility was something neither he nor the rest of the squad was expecting.

"Jamm their comms, Miranda. I'll take 'em."

She was already on it - too busy to respond.

Then Marcus charged them head first. Alexander and his sortie blasted the ranged attackers with tungsten bolts and blasterfire while he snapped forward to meet fusion cutters with crushgaunt. Toggling the nervous system upgrade as he charged, the man narrowly avoided being bisected by their energy weapons. Then up came a fist, morphing hardened steel cranium into a slab of spare parts. Oil sprayed across the wall and coated the floor, damaged circuitry exposed, the first of the charging bots went down with a crash.

Up came his SMG. Silenced in all its glory, he let loose with a full twenty round magazine of .38 special slugs into the closest one. He hadn't even registered the assessment of his damage before he discarded the spent mag in exchange for a fresh one. Then he dumped half of it into the next incoming bot.

Harris' fleet came out from hyperspace above irn, he was panting and sweating. He looked at the holotable and around at his fleet. He pulled up the date.
"One month?"
The crew scrambled around in confusion. An officer ran up to him.
"We've been missing for 1 month sir, the super-weapon is gone and Noone will ever know what happened."
"Good, alert the dominion we are back."
Will looked at the holotable and surfed the holo-net for a minute.
"There, next stop, irn."
The bridge crew yelled aye aye and the the ship disappeared into hyperspace. The rest of the fleet followed as they all disappeared into the void.

He stood behind the two men as they worked with their AI's rambling in his head as his lifeless black gaze looked down the hallway with his T-21 pointed down range waiting, he wouldn't shoot even if someone rounded the corner but when the call was given he would have been more then ready to light whoever it was up.

He stared into the empty hallway feeling the presence of the meant around him making a mental note of where everyone in his head just in case something did happen he could find the best way to make an action.

The AI and rook kept going back and forth as they talked about what was happening, he ignored all the chitchat and just made sure he picked up the important stuff as he stared down the sights waiting for any sign of trouble.

Suddenly his vision was filled with a dotted line leading through the ship and he looked at his mini-map as he saw it was more filled out then before, he might have hated the chit-chat but AI's were helpful.

He heard the massive metal feet clanging on the floor as they came running towards the breach which the ship had made to let them into the facility, he aimed his gun towards the side they were coming from and waited.

As they rounded the corner they stopped suddenly surprised at the team that was ahead of them with their guns raised and aimed at the droids.

As the call was sounded Marcus and Rook began assaulting the droid in front of him. Letting loose he began making his way forward and shot large shots into the droids upper torso and head as they ran at the team. He knelt in the front of the group so they could shoot over him as he stuck closed to the wall to use it as a support for his aim as he took out two droids within seconds of the fight starting.

This was gonna be fun.

Lucien watched as Rook plugged the artificial intelligence into the port and shortly after Lucien's cybernetic HUD displayed a new path for them to follow. Lucien nodded, and began to take point once more, but before he even got out the door the Stanley's electronic voice whirred in his ear. Incoming hostiles. That was all Lucien needed to know. He exited the door and spotted the droids immediately.

Several hostiles armed with fusion cutters and two with assault rifles. Lucien aimed down his sights with the fluidity of someone who had done it a dozen times. He aimed at the closest droids head. His finger tightened around the trigger. A quick three round burst shot from his rifle with precision and lethality. The droid's head caved as the las rounds melted circuits and plate, it spun to the ground obviously taken out of the fight.

it was one thing to simulate drops and train in shock warfare but nothing could prepare you for your first drop into actual operations. Trajan was equipped with everything he needed to do his job; fusion cutters, fully automatic blaster rifle, ammunition, rations, tool kit, weapons cleaning kit, thermal detonators (he still had no idea how they let him carry those things) and armor. Loaded in the drop ship was the 605th cavalry division that were dropping with infantry and vehicles into the planet the establish a formal presence and lead the charge before actual high powered armor took over. Trajan stood in his drop pod and took a sip of whiskey, looking at his reflection in the glass window that overlooked the interior of the ship wondering to himself if he would make it out alive... "This is Iron four, ready for drop"

After all of the men of the division signed off the countdown began and the lights inside turned a violent red. He narrowed his eyes and did a routine weapons check, as was expected it went through smoothly. His job was a simple one; provide mechanical assistance and support to the mobile infantry and square away anything that might go wrong and if necessary provide weapon support in engaging the enemy. As soon as it began the countdown stopped and the lights hit green, Trajan punched the drop switch and with the force of a nuclear bomb his drop descended into the planet along with hundreds of others and vehicles to boot. The pod rocked, heated up and blasted into the ozone layer. Through his wind shield he could see the stars of the universe swiping by his sight at an incredible speed then blue sky and then clouds... He was scared but confident.

As soon as the pod smashed into the ground Trajan busted out and began protocol which was simple. Set up a perimeter or ORP on the drop site and mount up a one hundred percent security. He could not hear blasterfire or violence so he assumed there were no hostiles in the area. His comms began ringing off with orders and it was slowly drowned out with the impact of more drop pods smashing around him. He set up his perimeter of fire and awaited further orders... truly... he didn't know what to expect.

Miles tucked into the wall as Rook gained access to the portal to download a full schematic. While he was keeping an eye out for any opposition when his HUD expanded to show a full layout of the station. Then AI had lit up a waypoint to the core and it was going to take the squad right through the heart of the station.

Rook and Marcus encountered the first form of opposition from a small unit of repair droids. They stood no chance as the first couple went down before they even knew Iron Maw was there. Miles fell in line and covered the rear in case anything came from behind. Turning on the optics on the AX-T5, syncing it to his HUD, saving him the time that would otherwise be used for aiming manually.

Waiting for a signal to move out, Miles saw a blip on his HUD in the rear. The blip split as it came to the T-crossing further down the hall.

"Contacts, on our six! Move or engage?"

There was something about combat, perhaps the fact that they were only facing droids at present, that seemed to shut down that apprehension that plagued Eriss. Maybe it was the lack of blood to be spilled, maybe just sheer survival instinct wanting to come out and play. Whatever it was, it was not unwelcome. She could only hope that the wave of focus was here to stay.

Weaving her way to the first droids she saw not already being engaged, the vibrowhip that'd served her well thus far in life came to life with a low hum. In her off hand, a blaster ready to spell destruction with a finality the whip itself couldn't quite deliver. Hers was a game of fishing, so to speak, catching and holding a droid in place with the vibroweapon, proceeding to blast its innards to oblivion, then with a quick flick of the wrist repeating the process. It was a fun game at that, luring the Falleen into a false sense of security, giving her the oh, so obviously well calculated idea that the droids' plating would be something she could simply kick in rather than waste blasterfire. In the heat of the small battle, the lapse of judgement was one that was easy for the inexperienced combatant to fall prey to, the next droid to be caught in the whip's range finding itself brought much closer than its fallen allies, a stern kick delivered to its-

Ow. Okay, bad idea. Returning to the age-old practice of simply blasting the droids, Xandari finished with her little group, quite impressed with her handiwork (and perhaps more importantly the fact that she hadn't completely freaked out in the process), Not bad. Probably nothing that could hold a candle to the others' but hey, it was a learning process. With that she withdrew back to the group, continuing to fight as necessary.

Having made it back to the bridge Adron watched as a planetary hologram of Irn was pulled up before him. The major priority for this mission was to take and pacify Irnfall, which had several reports of unrest since The Dominion pulled back from this space. However, the Count had no intention to let those reports go unchecked. Tapping the side of his commlink he glanced to the communication's officer sitting at his terminal. "Patch me over to the flight deck intercom."

"Yes sir." The officer responded, before keying the command into the terminal. "You're live, sir."

Adron's voice called over the flight deck, allowing all of the flight and departure crews to hear him. "Flight crews, you have a green light. Begin the operation." With that Adron deactivated the link, watching from the ship's view port as a squadron of transports made their way planetside.

With the flight crews underway Adron returned his attention to the hologram in front of him. "Let's see if we can't finish this before the strike team gets done at Chiloon."

The planet grew closer, and with that so did the view of the fires below the surface hundreds running through the streets looting and attacking each other.

The major called out to all those on board

ALRIGHT MEN! WE HAVE LOTS TO DO, RIOTS HAVE BROKEN OUT IN THE CAPITAL WE ARE GONNA PUT A END TO IT I WANT EVERYONE USING STUN ONLY

Maya adjusted her armor as the dropship touched down and opened up to let the ash and dust fly it, the rioters had surrounded the ship and was yellimg at them as the other dropships landing further

adron this place is in a state of anarchy riots are everywhere got to deal with some surrounding us

The major called out for men to start firing above them to get the crowd to start moving back and of they didn't start firing stun shots into them to lower their numbers, the rioters got closer as stun shots rang out dropping a few as they broke enough that the major could see the others ships

From the holoscreen before him Adron could see the transports touch down on the planet's surface. Almost immediately his communications officers had received numerous reports of civil unrest. This world has been unchecked for too long... He mused, rolling his thumbs over each other as his mind worked. When Anya reported there were riots in the capitol he could not help but pinch the bridge of his nose.

"I had hoped the central government could maintain control for a bit longer." He stated. "Anya, try your best to get through the riots in a peaceful manner. Get to the capitol building and find out why the people are so unhappy. My officers aren't getting through to the capitol, I'm guessing their communications are down."

Deactivating his commlink Adron turned his attention to the ship's helm officer. "Bring us about, ninety degrees. Have our starboard side faced to the planet. Order the rest of the ships to follow suit."

Maya crouched listening as she nodded, a rock came her way as she caught it and tossed it aside without any effort. She listened as she major sat nearby the soldiers doing their best to keep the crowd back as she nodded

will do, I have the building in sight I'm gonna push through to it seems a lot of people is bundled over there my guess is something fishy is up

With that she stop as she looked to the major who had been listening and nodded as they started forward the soldiers detaining a few people and seeming to get the crowd in order while others ran off to the capitol building

major, I have my orders from the count, I need some of your men to keep the rioters at bay I'm going to do my work and get into the capital building

Lucien was busy blasting droids to bits with well placed burst fire when suddenly the mini map on his HUD expanded. Stanley had done his job and for the first time in his life he was thankful for a droid. Miles distorted voice piped up in Lucien’s ear as the cyborg aimed at another target and fired, its head exploding into metal bits and oil. They had enemies encroaching on their six. They were bottled up in the hall with enemies too either side of them. They had to act quickly and Lucien decided to guide them to the weakest opposition.

“Xandari, Darson move forward and keep those droids behind us pinned down!” Lucien shouted over the roar of blaster fire.

He charged the nearest droid in front of him and hammered it with a massive armored cybernetic shoulder. The droid buckled beneath his strength and he swung outward with the same arm firing his weapon and swatting the droid aside as he did so. The team had to move towards the reactor. If they stayed in the hall the primeval would just keep sending droids at them.

With an actual direction to go off of, Xan continued her forward momentum, taking out droids as they wound up in her reach. A sore foot and a couple of close calls with blaster fire later and she'd come down from her delusion of invincibility, still doing her part in dealing with the droids behind them, yet not being nearly as showy about it. This was easy enough but the droids just didn't stop coming. She could imagine getting overrun wouldn't be something too unrealistic.

The next orders had her jumping a bit at first. Iron Maw? What was that? Oh, was it them? Who came up with these terms, anyway? Still taking shots at the droids, vibrowhip continuing to swipe at those in range, Xandari moved closer to the team, glancing over her shoulder every so often. A gulp gathered in her throat. This was a lot of droids.

It didn't take long after Anya dropped communication for Adron's mind to finally work in an overhaul and formulate a plan. "Anya." He said, initiating his link once again to speak to the woman. "Have the planet's leadership put on a shuttle and sent to my fleet, but...make sure they appear to be getting arrested. I'm hoping that will calm these riots."

Adron turned to his deck officer, his arms clasped behind his back as he moved away from his terminal. "Have the meeting room prepared, I'm going to figure out what the hell is going on in this sector. The Count was met with a swift, "Yes sir." The planet hasn't been unattended to for that long, maybe a month, how the hell did things get this bad this fast? I wonder if the Ascendancy has had their hands in things again." He mused, a curios look on his face as he made his way out of the bridge.

The order reached his ears and his response was almost immediate as his attention shifted quickly to their six and he began to mow down the opposition from behind him. As some of the droids got to close he took out his knife and began to take them down. Brutally making his way through the droid surrounding them he fired off more shots into them with his T-21. He continued to fire, hitting droids left and right in the chest or in the head as they dropped like flies as the squadron continued to hold down that hallway.

Then the next order came and he rose from the crouch he had gotten himself into and slowly began to backpedal until he was next to the group and he kneeled back down again. His body shifted as he continued to pick off targets with experienced blaster fire. There were a few close calls but for the most part he was fine as he continued to beat up on the droids as they attempted to swarm them with numbers, but that wasn't going to work on this group of trained individuals, this was more of a game for him then anything.

The group stuck right next to each other as more and more droids seemed to appear and they fired blaster shot after blaster shot into them. He took off his ammo pack and put another one in and began to light up the droids again not wanting to let them gain an inch on their ground. Droid bodies littered the hallway as they continued their defense of the panel that was behind the group. He didn't see anything else but the enemies in front of him, and he made deadly work of them as they continued the fight.

She stopped as She listened to her comm and nodded as she hopped in through a hole in the roof as she kept her blasters raised moving forward eyes scanning the area with a calm mind

copy that, the capital building is in a wreck. Gonna try see if I can find a safe room I'm betting the leadership is holed up there

She then dropped out as she moved quickly, she heard movement as she took a breath and peeked out carefully, seemed some rioters were banging on a sealed door cursing as they couldn't get in and mumbled

Anya had to get this was her best bet, however to many even for her to take on she had to divide and conquer them. She picked up a piece of metal and looked at it before throwing it to the opposite hall, this caused some noise and a group broke off to go investigate it, this left about 3 at the door simple

In a flash she was on them, they didn't even get time to get their weapons up before she had them incapacitated. She looked to the large door as she checked it, seemed solid, she activated her saber and slammed it into the door as she started cutting a hole into the door. Once it fell she looked in seeing a guard and a very scared guy within. She waved him up as she turned to check

get up, I'm here to get you out of here but you need to do as I say, first off hands behind your back and keep quiet

She spoke into her comm as she got the man and had his guard follow out as she spoke

adron I have the leader coming out and putting him in a shuttle

Once she got out the rioters looked on as she had his hand behind and cuffed they stood stunned confused a bit as they saw no one enter, however they mumbled as anya put him in a ship stepped back and watched it go off as she turned

I want everyone to please drop whatever makeshift weapon you have and simply just call down head home

It didn't take long for the planet's Prime Minister to be set on a shuttle heading towards The Dominion fleet. While the Count had originally intended on meeting the man in his meeting chambers he decided to make his way to the hanger deck to meet the planet's leader. Perhaps he could shed some light on the situation and why his planet was in such an uproar.

Flanked by two of his guard the Count walked down the hall, his hands clasped tightly behind his back. "I know we didn't leave this sector in the best of standings but for the whole planet to nearly fall in a month..."

Adron made his way to the hanger and was happy to see the shuttle landing in the main bay. "Maybe he can shed some light on this." He made his approach to the hanger just as the Prime Minister was being offloaded with a few members of his staff. "Prime Minister." Adron called out, bringing the man's attention to the young Count. "It is good to-."

"Thank you so much! Without you those savages would have torn me apart!" The man rushed to embrace the Count, however he was held back by the escort following the man. "Those...savages...? Do you mean your citizens?" The Prime Minister looked as if he was going to spit, before crossing his arms to the man. "Citizens, some citizens, they loved me when everything was good, but a few of our trade lines get sacked and all of the sudden I am a bad guy!"

"Hunger can be a discouraging feeling." Adron replied, turning back towards the lift. "Please come, we have a lot to discuss."
