Grozurra and his squad had been setting explosives on elevator doors when new orders came through. He and his men had been carving a bloody path towards what felt to Grozurra like it could be the bridge. But now they were to make their way to the Hyperdrive and disable it.
Growling slightly in displeasure at possibly missing out on fighting a Sith, Grozurra pried open an elevator door with his two massive arms and looked down the empty shaft. He and his squad would have to descend several floors before they could start working their way towards the Hyperdrive. The question, though, was how many floors they would have to travel before they were on the right one. To find the answer, Grozurra stood as a silent and immobile statue and closed his eyes. The men and women that surrounded him likewise stood silently as they waited for instructions and kept their weapons trained on the dark corridors that surrounded them.
In the dark and quiet of his mind, Grozurra slowly extended his senses. He was aware of himself. His fur. His heavy armor. The wires and electricity and moving parts of it shone in his mind like a beacon. Every part of himself was known and understood. Slowly he extended his awareness outwards. First one of his brothers, then another and another entered into his awareness. They, their bilology, and their armor and weapons all shone like beacons in Grozurra's mind.
His awareness spread outwards in all directions at first. Slowly extending to cover meter after meter of warship. Every deck, every wall, every droid, soldier, and pest was a beacon in Grozurra's consciousness. But then he began directing his awareness down the elevator shaft. Floor after floor after floor passed by as his awareness reached downwards in its search. Eventually, several massive pipes entered his awareness and the wookiee knew that he had found something. Slowly following the pipes, Grozurra found the beating heart of the Star Destroyer. The raging inferno of the ship's reactor burned brightly in Grozurra's mind. It was like staring into the sun. It was warm and beautiful and Grozurra wished only to bask in it, but he had a mission to accomplish.
Grozurra's mind turned away from the engines and followed the pipes that had led him to it. After a few moment, the massive hyperdrive engine rested firmly in his awareness. Smiling slightly, Grozurra slowly brought his awareness back to himself and made a note of every door, hallway, trap, droid, and soldier that stoop between himself and his goal. The wookiee growled his language into his helmet and the software in his helmet broadcast a different voice to the internal communicators of his squad mates. In the hollow and robotic voice of a droid, Grozurra said to his squad "Follow me. Double-time to the Hyperdrive."
Grozurra then turned and backed into the elevator shaft. He fell like the half-ton stone that he was. But between the rocket thrusters in his boots and the repulsor pack and repulsor stabilizers that adorned other areas of his armor, Grozurra was able to slow himself enough to force his armored hand through the elevator door when he reached the correct floor. Slowly, he grabbed the two doors with both hands and pried them apart. His men landed behind him as he stepped forward from the elevator with his weapon drawn and ready. He knew that there were no crew or soldiers waiting for them here. But still he kept his weapon ready.
His senses extended ahead of himself and down the hallways that eventually connected to the Hyperdrive. There were soldiers here and there. But he knew their locations and knew the terrain that surrounded them. A feral smile played across his lips as he took off towards the Hyperdrive at a dead sprint. The men and women of his squad did likewise. Some of which resorting to repulsors and thrusters to keep up with the massive gate of their wookiee sergeant.
