DESCRIPTION

The Knight-Class General Transport is a hardy vehicle commissioned by the Republic vehicle to fill the roles of Troop & Cargo transportation. Furthermore, the Knight-Class Transport has the capacity to act as a landing vessel in order to deploy troops and vehicles directly on the field of battle. As such, the vehicle is heavily armored, as to provide ample protection whilst deploying Republic forces. It is, along with the Republic's gunships, a primary means of troop and vehicle transportation and is under mass production.

For its size, it carries both too much cargo and passengers when compared to the similar in purpose Acclamator-I assault transport. This was discovered by looking at the proportion of height multiplied by width and then divided by total amount of people/cargo expected to be on board. The ship also carries a lot more cargo than the Acclamator I even without having to do basic math. If you want an example of a ship closer to size, the Jehavey'ir-type assault ship carried 700 total people with 3,5000 metric tons of cargo.
