Korriban Road, Take Me Home

Marka-Ragnos-750x410.jpg
There was something about meeting with an old friend in a familiar setting. For Kahlil, this was a rare thing indeed. But as he entered the Korriban system he felt the familiar signature of a being he had only met once before. While not a friend, it was a welcome sensation to know that perhaps she hadn't decided to join the heretics and instead come home.

Or so he believed.

To the tomb of Ragnos he went, faintly curious as to why she would go there of all places. The tomb had been thoroughly explored thousands of years ago, in her time no less. Still, it made it easy to find her. Into the tomb he walked, armed with only his sword and his wits, a patient smile on his face.

Korriban, homeworld of the ancient Sith and homeworld to Darth Malice, to her friends however she was known as Rika Ragnos.

Using public shuttles and her old assassin skills she managed to make her way back home.

The winds kicked up sand and beat at her skin, she sighed in content as old memories flooded her mind. Keeping her hood up and face from view she made her way to the tomb of her ancestor Marka Ragnos. She made her way deep into the tomb and knelt before her family tomb and meditated on the dark side. Conversing with the Ancient Sith.

Her attention was diverted however when a familar presence drew closer, She left her saber on the floor beside her and slowly raised her head. "No doubt you have questions?"

"Nothing out of the ordinary. You're a relic from a time long past, so there's much about your time I'd be curious to know. There are gaps everywhere after all." Kahlil casually stepped up to [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] , his hands down by his sides in a nonthreatening manner. He'd stop a good ten feet away, glancing around the tomb curiously. "The first thing that comes mind is why Ragnos? He has been dead for thousands of years, his tomb thoroughly explored. Even in your time he had been dead for hundreds of years." The Knight traced a crushgaunt wearing gauntlet over the pillar beside him, reading through some of the runes he had already memorized.

"Then let me reintroduce myself," she got up from her kneeling position and turned to face him. She removed and dropped her still broken mask to the ground. " I am Darth Malice, to my friends and family I am known as Rikaelyr Ragnos. I am the purist decendant to Marka Ragnos, the sith who's tomb we now reside. I was a member of the old Dark Council during the time of Emperor Vitiate, I was one of the sith leading the combined armies against Revan on Yavin 4 and I was also there when Vitiate devoured Ziost, causing to be become the dead planet is probably still is to this day." Her eyes glowed purple with force energy and 3 force spirits appeared from behind her "My family and friends deserves to rest," she turned her head and smiled as she looked at each of them "I am relasing them here to that they can rest with the rest of my lineage. This tomb is my families tomb." Her eyes returned to normal as the spirits bowed to her and walked off to join the spirit of Marka Ragnos.

She shook her head at the sudden change of power within her but kept herself steady. "So what else do you wish to know before I leave."

"As nice as all that sounds, none of it matters for this day and age." Kahlil casually dismissed [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] accolades, not because he didn't believe her. But because they no longer mattered. That day had come and gone, and her Empire had crumbled and fallen as many Sith had before and long after her. The Knight leaned onto the pillar beside him, his arms crossed over his chest. "Asides from these tombs there is nothing left. Even Zoist is a planet of life again, your Emperors crimes forgotten."

He let out a sigh as he pushed himself up to a proper standing position again. "Are you here to join the Empire?"

"He was no Emperor of mine! He seized to be so when he turned against his own people." She held out her hand and her saber flew into her hand, gripping it tightly. "As I already stated, I am here to release the souls of my fallen crew to their rightful resting place. I am not here however to join the Empire. I have my own path that I must take. I ask that you do not get in my way, I do not wish to fight you if it can be helped." Using the force her mask rasied up and she refitted it to herself "Do not make me fight you."

"If I was going to fight you, I wouldn't of come alone. I'm far too weak for that." Kahlil held up his hands in a nonthreating manner to [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] , offering a smile. He had no desire to tangle with a Sith Lord, especially now that she had regained much of her strength from her hybernation sickness. "As a Sith it is your right to choose your own path, so long as you don't go against my Emperor. Of course, if you were to join Animus, that would be a problem." He joked, slightly chuckling.

"Would you like to see what we've done to restore Korriban to it's former glory?"

"I've gone against many who would call themselves Emperor." She walked closer to him, ever cautious as any Sith would be around another. Using the force she created a small bubble around her incase he attempted to stab her in the back. Whilst it was true she had gotten over the worse of her Hibernation sickness, she still wasnt at 100% and she hated this. "Show me then. I am going to assume that the weak still claw at the threads of those in power and those too weak to be of any use die like they should?"

Kahlil raised a curious brow as [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] passed by and created a barrier. That's right. The Sith usually distrusted one another with a passion. The Knight had wasted so much of his life on this belief, a shame so many still did. "Yes, of course. That's how the Sith are after all." He shrugged his shoulders as he walked alongside her now, leading the way out of the tomb towards the more civilized areas of Korriban.

Times had certainly changed. Civilization had come to Korriban, showing more then just the usual Sith Academy on the surface. "I'm not sure how it looked in your time, but things have changed. The Empire keeps this planet safe, and numerous cities dot the landscape."

Rika followed with [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] at her side as they walked. She had missed so much over the years. The last time she saw Korriban it had been sieged by an unknown army. She knew who had done this but she had no idea how much history remembered and what 'truth' has been preserved over the years.

"I will be honest with you, Last time I was here it was recovering from an attack but before then it had the Sith Acadamy, a shuttle dock and a few camps set up for researching the wildlife and the tombs." Her lips curled into a smirk "I will admit, it was very easy for me to get onto this planet. I never had to use my force abilities. You might want to get that fixed."

"If you weren't allowed, you'd have been dealt with." Kahlil shrugged his shoulders to [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] . He had sensed her on the planet himself, and he was just a knight. A dull expression took over his features as he watched her. Was he suppose to be impressed or ashamed? If she thought it should be hard for Sith not of the Jen'ari to get on world, she was assuming much.

Unless of course, she was a Jen'ari.

"So, what Emperor do you serve?"

"Fair enough." Were the only words she spoke to him. It was true her connection to the darkside of the force was indeed strong. More so than most of those she sensed on Korriban, the only one there that was even worth her time was [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] She hadnt even bothered to mask her pressence, though she was glad that her force mask ability was still holding. If it had faded over time, her beautiful, deep red skin would have been very pale and withered due to how far she had dived into the dark side of the force. She coouldn't have that showing for her missions, it would make her stand out like a rancor in a Rakghoul next. "I serve my own interests. Where that takes me is of no interest to you."

"This is the Empire's world now, Darth Malice. So long as your interests don't go against it, there is no issue. But so long as it's here, there is every interest." It was becoming more and more clear that [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] was not going to end up an ally, and perhaps a foe to Kahlil and his Father. Casually he ran a hand over the hilt of his sword, waking the sentient weapon from it's slumber just in case.

"You are but a guest here."

Rika kept her eyes on him, noticing [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] running his hand over the hilt of his sword. "Do I make you uneasy? I will admit I am at a disadvantage, I still dont known the name of the man who rescued me from suffcating to death in my cryo-pod. Do I get the curtesy of finding out his name or will I have to look through every possible database I can crack?" she stopped and crossed her arms as she faced him.

"You can put your weapon back to sleep, I have no reason to attack you or anyone on this planet. So relax a little will you."

"It shall stay awake for now. If you turned on me I'm far too weak in combat to hold my own." [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] had made her own defenses with the barrier, so it wasn't too much of a surprise he'd defend himself if needed. "But, I am Kahlil Zambrano, son of the Emperor." Kahlil paused before her, his hand still resting on the hilt of his blade as he watched on. He had become rather distrusting of her reasons for being here on Korriban, even after seeing the display of her family.

Rika shrugged "You know if I wanted to attack you I would have done it straight away, plus I remember the old rules of this planet. Attacks on others are not sanctified on Academy grounds. Acidents can happpen though." She bowed her head in respect to [member="Kahlil Zambrano"] upon hearing his name "I hope you dont mind me asking but is that a direct decendant or one of those created via sith Alchemy? If you don't wish to tell me, I wont force it out of you. I am here on a bloodless trip. Should you wish I leave the planet I will do so without any issue. I will make you aware though, I am not entirely happy how my Homeworld has turned out. Korriban sticks out like a sore thumb in the galaxy now. It was better when it had less. Just my personal opinion."

"I am indeed my Father's son, not an alchemical creation. Though I do have some siblings who are, but numerous more who are related by blood." Darth Carnifex and his numerous wives had certainly been fruitful in their endevour to have children. Kahlil was one of many, the only distinction he held being the physically weakest of the brood. "As for the cities, it was only a matter of time. This is our home now, and to leave it so far behind while the rest of the Empires worlds flourish would be an insult."

"I guess you have that then at least. I remember the Emperor's children of my day. I heard a Jedi knight dealt with a few, or at least that is what my contacts told me back then."
She continued to walk on "So where is it you wish to show me first? The shuttle off world or the interior of the Academy?"

"Don't misunderstand my mistrust for wanting to remove you, m'lady." Kahlil offered [member="Rikaelyr Ragnos"] a friendly smile, trying to break the tension he had been building up. He had been building her up as a foe in his mind, but there wasn't a reason to keep it up any longer. He moved his hand from his blade, bowing his head. "The Sith have made a practice of mistrust and backstabbing among their own. In truth, it's a practice I care little for. It wastes so many precious resources and time. So, I'd like to start again. I'd prefer to be an ally of yours, if possible, and perhaps a friend to turn to when needed."

The Knight lifted his head with a faint smile before turning back on a heel, extending an arm for her to take. "Let me give you a proper royal tour of the Empire's hold on Korriban."
