Strengths:
- Redundant shields provide a heavy layer of defense, sustained by the presence of Isotope-5 reactors equipped by the Krath-Class.
- Hull of the ship is fashioned from very protective materials, such as Quadanium steel rather than standard durasteel and similar materials, which safeguards it longer from assault.
- Ship is powered by four Isotope-5 reactors to maintain the moderate amount of armaments and shields on a consistent basis simultaneously.
- Armaments are nearly half of what is considered normal for an assault cruiser, which is the classification that a ship of this size would normally fit in based on the length and hangar size. Ships of a larger size are thus much more of a threat than they would have been with even the average slew of weapons and defenses.
- Heavy hull damage near the rear end of the ship could result in irrepairable damage to its reactors, which more importantly are highly unstable Isotope-5 reactors that if damages could explode and would destroy the entire ship in one go.
- Glaring weakspot near the front that could lead to the destruction of the entire ship (explained in detail below).
Description:
A light star destroyer built for success. At first glance, that is all this ship is. Yet for those aware of the darker sides of the planet known as Empress Teta, which people such as Khaleel Malvern were becoming more accustomed to, it was obvious that Koros Spaceworks would not simply produce a ship they were incapable of managing on their own and then restrict it from buyers and never sell a single unit to those who requested or attempted contracts for the ship. The answer, of course, to this strange mismanagement was that the Krath were involved. For a time, nearly two decades, the planet had been brought under control of the Kuhn family by both Alric and Silara Kuhn with a return to a monarchical rule with the couple leading the nation as the sovereign lords of the people. But in the background, prior to their success in controlling the planet, the Sith Lord met resistance with a criminal, cult-driven, group known as "The Krath", or simply "Krath". For thousands of years they existed on Teta with their hands in nearly every government affair while growing fat off of the money laundering. Near the end of the first millennia, however, they had shrank in control and influence as the Sith grew - though not out of good will so much as competition between the two.
But with Silara and Alric gone, Titan Industries seized, and hardly any trustworthy individuals to protect the Kuhn twins, there is almost nothing that remains to stop the Krath from experiencing a booming growth not only in their criminal escapades but also in control of the government itself. Their first move? Isolation of the only twin that really mattered to their plots, Lily Kuhn. Unlike Rose Kuhn, whom had refused the responsibility of inheriting the role as the throne's heiress, Lily was happy to accept what she had thought would be a safe, leisurely, path to riches and happiness. Unfortunately for the seventeen year-old, she was met with resistance in freedom in the form of blackmail and threats. The Krath now ran, effectively, a total of nearly seventy-percent of the government by means of buying out and lining the pockets of those who held the seats of power. In the past this had been used to the Kuhn family's advantage in influence, as Silara had temporarily led the Krath by force until her disappearance, but now it served only to undermine Lily's role as future Empress and to hamper her own business - which Rose also shied away from. It was made perfectly clear to the girl that they only needed someone to occupy that throne - now that her parents had brought back the tradition - and she needed their support to function and indeed live. If they were displeased her life would be cut short.
So to test the waters of their new-found control, they requested a ship designed entirely for combative means - for general warfare. It would be the first of many Krath ships, and it would be their beacon to lead their eventual fleets into the envisioned conquest of their planet - not that Lily actually expected such to occur. But the demand was made, along with a subtle reminder of her situation, and she complied. The Krath-Class ship, dubbed for the namesake organization that would control it, came equipped with a handsome amount of capital guns - sitting at one hundred-and-twenty - and redundant shields. It is powered by four isotope-5 reactors to keep a constant source of energy to both weapons and shields, and it has just enough hangar room for one squadron of fighters. As with most large, slow, ships, the Krath comes with ten escape pods to allow for emergency evacuation of five people to a pod - ensuring only the most important individuals may escape in a worst-case scenario. The ship itself is built of very impressive metals, such as Quadanium steel, which serves for excellent hull protection both inside and out if shields were to be compromised at any given time. There is a glaring flaw, which Lily ensured would not remain obvious to most - lest she be reprimanded for such insubordination - in that the front end of the ship has a small three-meter vent which leads directly to the reactor room at the center of the back of the ship. If she was going to live under anyone's thumb, she'd make sure to use every bit of her resourcefulness to her advantage - even if it meant making incredibly flawed designs to potentially destroy her captors if she were to ever get into a naval conflict with them, something which she had the slightest hunch she would win after several years of schooling in naval warfare, history, and so on both by a private tutor and on the Military College of Anaxes, the planet renown for being one of the best, if not the best, fortress worlds with both anti-siege capabilities and also schooling for the military.
