STRENGTHS

• HELL FROM ABOVE: Upon firing, the Arbalest's warhead immediately ejects into a high angle attack vector towards its target, aiming to impact unto the top armor of its target which is a traditionally thin and vulnerable section of most any military vehicle.
• FIRE AND FORGET: When utilizing 'target lock' firing mode, as soon as the 'Electric Eye' optics system paints and locks its target, the user can fire the weapon and immediately pull back into defilade or re-position to avoid retaliatory fires.
• VEHICLE MOUNTING: Whilst designed to be man portable, the Arbalest can be mounted to the turret of most vehicles be they landspeeders, IFVs, tanks or walkers with a software suite to integrate it into the vehicle's optics and targeting systems, bringing another valuable tool to the mechanized fight.

WEAKNESSES

• SIGNAL VULNERABILITY: Signal jammers can typically defeat the target lock of the Arbalest's missile, whilst a SACLOS firing mode is integrated that can override this, it exposes the user to retaliatory fire the entire duration the missile is in the air, only able to strike at the armor from the user's perspective.
• UNWIELDY: Both the launcher and ammunition for the Arbalest are heavy, bulky and difficult to transport, putting a strain on dismounted infantry who would have to transport the weapon systems to and from fighting positions and observation points.
• MINIMUM STANDOFF: The Arbalest has a hard coded ten meter standoff range before the missile ascends to striking altitude, restricting the positions and situations within which it can be used.

DESCRIPTION
As apart of the Trade Federation's development of a comprehensive combined arms package for private military sale, the Arbalest was engineered for both conventional and unconventional tactics in mind. Being relatively easy to produce and manufacture, the Arbalest acts as a great equalizer on the battlefield, allowing dismounted infantry units to effective engage and destroy armored vehicles with relative ease on the field of battle. Intended to be the standard in ATGMs, the Halberd also offers a wide modularity for mounting to larger vehicles beyond its intended purpose as a man-portable missile launcher.

6. Extreme ratings require justification and elaboration in the main body of the submission.
7. Extreme ratings must be submitted as Semi-Unique or Unique.
