Senate makes Loghain the temporary rule of Kuat, however, the Senate requires regular check-ups to make sure Loghain isn't evil and enslaving his people or killing anyone.
You do NOT have to stay with a group, but Adhira's main path will be with Loghian as they go to visit Lady Elaine. So, talk to locals, investigate, ignore the mission entirely, etc as long as you don't actively destroy the mission.

Also, posting order can be its own thing just don't be disrespectful if you know someone has intention to post but has a lot on their plate. At least ask first.

When the Alliance's diplomatic craft and gunship escort set down on the Kuati landing port, Adhira and her escort were among the first to depart. The Balmorran Senator, wrapped in robes of deep azure, lined with metallic gold fabric, made her way down the long durasteel ramp, flanked by four imminently tall and intimidating sentries. The Senate Guards who were assigned as custodians of the Senatorial Committee formed a perimeter around the landing pad as Adhira herself attempted to establish communication with Coruscant upon disembarking. "No I- Kark it all. I can't understand you," the dusky elder legislator yelled into her communication device before being cut off by a loud crackling noise.
She assumed that her transmission to Coruscant was being discreetly interrupted without being outright jammed by Loghain's people which would have obviously been a violation of Alliance law. This was nothing she could pen on Julius as communication errors were frequent and often without traceable proof. Especially on industry heavy planets like his. Kuat's current rulers were no doubt trying to intimidate her, but with a platoon of Senate Guard, 3 other Senators, and 2 Jedi Guardians to escort her, Adhira would not be so easily cowed.
The matron whipped around toward the ship in an attempt to get better reception but found herself cut off completely from transmission to the core. Her dark chocolate brown eyes narrowed in contempt. She searched the landing pad for any sign of the so-called 'Lord Regent' who was supposed to meet her new Committee for the Peaceful Transition of Kuat. They were apparently late to this most fortuitous meeting,
"Where the hell is Loghain? Where are the others?" She cursed at the nearest Attache who had been sent to assist the committee in diplomatic matters. Adhira turned toward the ship to look for her own committee members and Jedi escorts to join her on the platform.

The journey had been fairly uneventful, though you could have cut that tension in the air with a knife. Not exactly glamorous work for her first, proper official business but hey, galactic politics was always meant to be a dirty business. Elayne had spent the trip reading over the notes and minutes from the Senate meeting. It'd been a 'politely-charged' affair, in her estimation. The speed at which so many senators lined up to welcome some hodge-podge, aristocratic blow-hard astonished her. Welcome to the Galactic Alliance, where we hold out our hands to any and all despots draped in the blood-soaked flags of 'revolution.' Well, they had warned her it'd be a messy business.

Elayne stepped down the landing ramp, followed by a couple of Senate guards. She paid them little heed as she tapped on her datapad. With a frown on her face, she noticed the connection drop in and out. Great. We're being jammed or we've ended up in the Alliance's biggest, newest backwater. Though she'd have to be careful with that last comment, with Kuat being so close to Alderaan. She'd chosen to wear her usual work attire, namely the timeless pantsuit. Stylish, sharp and official. Dark blue, for her taste, with a pink blouse beneath it. If I get any Kuat smog or dirt on this thing, you bet I'm claiming for a replacement on the expenses. These cost serious credits.

Close in distance, perhaps, but light-years away in every other matter.
She only needed to look over the skyline in the distance to see that, bright and clear. She slipped her datapad in her satchel bag, hanging from her shoulder. She didn't trust an aide with her equipment. They'd only drop it and damage it. She approached Adhira, the leader of the committee and, thankfully, another voice of Centrist sanity.

"So, bets on whether he's trying to hide something? Or is this just some childish power-play?" she asked Adhira, rolling her eyes. Elayne folded her arms as she waited for their fellow senators and their escorts to join them. "I don't get it, honestly. He got exactly what he wanted. And it's not as if the Senate is going to just turn around and yank membership away. He's a tedious little despot, but he isn't stupid." She could spare a hint of admiration beneath her dismissal. He sure knew how to play them for damn fools in the chamber.

The 30 foot long serpent slithered out of the craft in a seemingly endless train of scales before coiling up near the side of the other senators, his coils continued to move over top one another as he slowly grew in height. Sssar looked down to the other senators then to the Senate Guards "He isss not hiding." the Fillithar's hissing voice sounded "He isss ssstalling. He will ssshow, eventually. He hasss no other choice." it was no secret that Sssar, on a personal level, despised this particular incident. This matter was trivial to people he represented and offended his personal ideals of how leadership was transfered. His attention went to Adhira Chandra Adhira Chandra "Isss there sssomething wrong?" he asked in regards to her communicator issues.

Potentially Kyra Perl's Father
THE Shute Gunray watched the slithering form of the grotesque snake creature, the Neimoidian's eyes snapping shut to make the whole process a bit easier. He couldn't say he found the serpentine Senator easy on the eye, but it was even worse on the ears. So many of the Senate sought silly things like justice through democracy as if peace or justice could ever come to be without the use of a massive weapon. The Lord of Pestilence knew such matters intimately, given the nature of his partnership with one, Gat Tambor. Had Shute not crossed paths with the Titan of Trade, the Monolith of the Fast Food World would likely be billions of credits weaker, while also lacking a seat within the Senate and a planet to call his own. Caamas aided his business, provided him a means to be heard throughout the galaxy, and lacked any real competition for the title of Senator. Well, once upon a time, a competitor stood against the Neimoidian, only to wind up disappearing on one of his bi-monthly trips to Nar Shaddaa.

"Eh," Shute Gunray muttered to himself, following down the ramp after the snake-creature. His massive form rested comfortably on a gold-plated throne, hovering a few feet off the ground, as the Neimoidian expected. He cast a glance at the floor, slightly shuddering at the concept of willingly treading where the poor traveled. He hated poor people. Something about being a part of the unwashed masses left the massive alien hungering for the delicious food, which made him both rich and powerful,
Huttaburger. Now available on Kuat, Metellos, and Byss...

"I would not say he is playing games, Senators," Shute Gunray rested his hands on the robust belly before him. "More likely than not, he finds himself busy trying to compensate for the failings of the former Kuat of Kuat, upon Kuat, within Kuat City," his thick lips split into a wide grin, the Fhurepetition in the sentence striking some amusement within hm. "It is unlikely we'll find ourselves waiting much longer. Goodman Loghain shall come to us soon enough. Something about that go-getter struck me as memorable," Big Boi Supreme continued his musings, carefully skirting the mobile throne around the serpentine Senator. Shute cast the creature one more accusatory look, almost as if the Neimoidian expected Loghain to crawl out from the monster's unnatural jaw.

"I have brought food if anyone is hungry," Shute Gunray waved forward a pair of droids, each one carrying one end of a massive buffet of Huttaburger product. "We have many great options," he muttered, attention on the plethora of plates available. He reached out, taking up what appeared to be a trio of burritos from
TacoHutt before beginning to consume them.

When the serpent and the credits pretending to be a gut attached to a real neimoidian finally departed the passenger craft, Bernard briefly breathed a sigh of relief, allowing the last seconds of solitude within the exit bay to steel his resolve. It wasn't that he felt uncomfortable around other people. He merely felt uncomfortable around these people. Every word was duplicitous, each sentence served to test another's guard and the act of merely engaging in simple conversation was tantamount to a fight to the death with the sabre. There was never a moment when he could simply let down his guard around them, lest the politicians think lesser of him or the Jedi for it. Despite the discomfort, he had a duty to them and he intended fully to fulfil it. The bay door hissed behind him as more of their entourage stepped into the exit-bay to depart for Kuat. Bernard took in a deep breath and began his descent down the ramp at last.

He had elected to bear his formal garb, despite his better judgement. A white cape flowed behind him, decorated with flowered blue embroideries, a shining breastplate, compact leg guards, and vambraces made of faintly blue-hued silver that glinted in the sun guarded his body, and a tabard that bore the dragon of arkania symbolized his elevated status. His hair was kept short and his wounds were yet covered with yellow synth flesh, but he stood upright as he walked. Each step carried a subtle chime as the armour sounded against itself.

The brief walk down the ramp presented a good opportunity to familiarize himself with his surroundings and so he did. The immediate perimeter appeared secure, the Senate Guards had made quite sure of that, he figured, though he confirmed it with a thorough visual sweep. He was done by the time he stepped off the ramp and onto Kuat.

A sense of unease shot through his leg and up his spine as soon as he set down his foot. He'd been open to the Force outside the privacy of solitude, just this once for the sake of duty, and it had decided to begin its conversation with him once more. It told him a tale of darkness and desperation, a fairy tale that did nothing but shake his sense of security. He tried to suppress any indication of the shift in his emotions, never wavering in the appearance of confidence he displayed.

As the senators (or perhaps only one who made it appear like many) partook in the course that was laid out, he stepped behind their group. His gaze was still absently locked on the horizon away from the group, but his attention remained with his charges.

Adhira was glad to see that the first two Senators to join her on the platform were Elayne Daklana and later Sssar Taszzn Sssar Taszzn . Both were brilliant in their own right, and the Senator had come to expect that if either one of them was scheming they were likely doing so for a beneficent reason. Or, at least for a reason she did not morally object to. "You know, Senators, I'm really not all that certain he is trying to hide anything from us, to tell you the truth," she said quietly huddling with the filitar and human while they waited for the others. Adhira removed the communicator from her hear and tucked it discreetly elsewhere should the feeds be opened back up later.
"But when we landed, you see, I was in a conversation with one of the Admirals from Intelligence Command who was trying to fill us in on Kuat happenings. As soon as the ship touched down, nothing, from either side. Could simply be a malfunction, but let's all assume Loghain may be listening," she whispered to the three as Shute Gunray Shute Gunray lumbered in their direction.
"Senator Gunray, it always warms me to see you, I was so glad you agreed to join us on this trip... Did you... want something to eat? I'm sure we could manage?" Adhira motioned to a Senate Guard to attend to him and went back to filling with her jewelry. He was here for the corporatists. Hopefully, he did his part.
"Now were is Kaito? Please say he got on the ship." Adhira glared back at the dock of the ship. Perhaps Julius'wanted a grand entrance for all to see which would require all Senators to be in attendance. Seemed like them. "And who knows, Senator Shute Gunray Shute Gunray , if Loghain makes us wait much longer the people might just rise up to make you the next leader of Kuat?" Adhira allowed herself one last, admittedly rousing join with the other Senators and staff before he went back to waiting.

The Corellian onboard did her best not to listen to the conversations buzzing and slithering about her. She didn't feel comfortable around politicians that were alive this long. Her few encounters with politicians were only a few seconds long, mostly to hear them choke on corrupt words as their world ends. Allyson kept her eyes closed as she let her thoughts drown them out. There was another with her on patrol. She didn't know much about him beyond the fact he seemed to feel the same about the politicians.

Allyson gathered her things and headed down the ramp behind Bernard. She watched him as he surveyed the area of their landing and made a mental note of his attention. Allyson did the same as she made notes of the city, her HUD contact lens snapping quick photos, and doing scans that were necessary to assess any danger. Finishing, she continued down behind the white-haired boy, her attention on him and the senators. As a Jedi Master, the woman was keener on the Force's ebb and flow, especially nowadays. Arching a brow, she watched Bernard and could feel that he felt something was slightly off. She had felt it as well, but it seemed to have hit him harder.

'I sense it as well.' Her mind connected momentarily with his, and It was all she said as she stood by him as they both filtered in behind the senators. Allyson could feel herself on high alert, more so than before, especially how the pair had felt something off in the Force.

Feeling that sense of darkness and dread was something Allyson had always brushed off as a feeling of unease about a situation and nothing to do with the Force. As the years went on and her involvement with the Jedi became intimate, she had learned that these feelings were not something to scoff at. History also played out that these emotions, if acted upon, could have stopped something terrible from happening. The Corellian rolled her shoulders back as she pushed back any physical queues of what she and Bernard felt.

The Jedi Shadow's emerald gaze settled on the senators' group, and she made a note of their actions trying to see if one of them is the cause of this disturbance.

"I am here," he said, moving around THE Shute Gunray's girth. The Neimoidian was unnaturally large, in more ways than his height, and often blocked everything behind him for several meters, but the young senator of Corellia had also arrived without issue. On his way to meet the group propper, he helped himself to one of the burgers on the tray and unwrapped it unceremoniously before taking a bit. Ahh, mediocre goodness. His eyes fell on the recently appointed senator of Alderaan. She was...Older than he'd hoped, though she was obviously closer in age to himself than the Senate Matriarch Adhira Chandra.

"Senator Daklana, I didn't get to properly introduce myself on the flight over. I am Senator Kiyoshi of Corellia. Congratulations on your recent victories on Alderaan. Though I don't entirely agree with all Centrist politics, that old man was stuck in the past and too comfortable ignoring Galactic affairs. Though I wish I'd spent my Alderaanian Hunting trips trying to get him to join the Alliance with you instead. It would have quickened Alderaan's admission considerably I'm sure." The hunger of youth allowed him to plow through the rest of his burger in seconds before he crumped the wrapper and placed it with the droid's bin module. He gazed up at the skyline, spitting portions of the ring that had been damaged. The flares from the star destroyer-sized welding torches and cutting tools looked more like small flickers from down on the surface.

"Loghain will show. Though when is a matter for another day. I agree that he is stalling for something, though what is a mystery." he said as he plucked another burger from the tray and unwrapped it halfway, just in case the Diktator decided to make him eat his words and he had to pause his meal. His eyes fell nervously on the Jedi. Being from Corellia, it wasn't the Jedi that scared him, it was the fact that one of them had a track record of not ending up well on Kuat. The young Padawan, though he looked old enough to be a Knight, had an entire file back on Corellia. He was one to watch...As was this Allyson. Her father had been well known on Corellia and the fact that she had yet to return home despite its resurgence worried him.

Stalling was an old trick. It usually annoyed those on the receiving end of it which if done without a purpose is simply useless and rather childish. Loghain purposefully arrived late to the platform where the senators and their escorts remained awaiting idly. It was a clear message - "do not waste your time here.". After the Senate judged in his favor but with the stipulation that a committee is formed under the leadership of furious opposition - Senator Chandra of Balmorra, Julius altered his strategy towards a longer game. A war of attrition, if you like.

What clawed subtly at him at night was that Elane was transported to Coruscant under the Senate's decision. It was a dangerous predicament in regards to the integrity of the Kuati's judicial system but it was a ground he had to surrender; a price for the Usurper to pay. Yet, the thought that a reconciliation with his half-sister, a collateral damage in his pursuit of revenge, seemed furthest from grasp than ever bothered his sleepless nights; all he could was await for the first ray of sunlight to scorch away the burden.

The shuttle with which he arrived was spacious and large enough to carry the committee and their escort, and more noticeably it was a military vessel. A clear implication of the current situation on Kuat as Loghain and the Transitional Council pursued their opposition with a selective gavel of justice. They would be given no quarter; the Age of Kings is dead. Long live the Regent.

Julius disembarked from the shuttle with his walking stick in hand and his usual long black admiral cloak hanging on his shoulders. Space Gaddafi, himself.

"Apologies for my tardiness, Senators." a slow smirk grew on his face. "I have been extremely busy with all the obstacles the enemies of the people throw at me." he gave each of the arrivals a glance. A slight nod at Gunray's direction, he had supported his cause in the senate. Favors, favors, favors. All to be unraveled in the future. Julius' eyes fell back upon Senator Chandra as the head honcho of the committee. "Please join me aboard the shuttle, for those who have never been to Kuat after the conflict between the Republic and the Grayson's, take it as a free tour."

"You'd better hope so, Kiyoshi, or this lovely little experiment in self-determination will be sunk faster than you can say-" Adhira stopped suddenly as a military vessel began its descent to the landing pad where the Jedi, senators, and Senate Guard were standing, ready to receive them. The Balmorran cast a withering gaze at her Corellian colleague as the shuttle touched down several feet away from where the delegation stood. The Senate Guard shifted as Adhira stepped forward to meet their host. Her luxurious cloak billowed in the wind of the exhaust as she waited at the door of the ship.
When Julius Loghain Julius Loghain finally stepped off and offered his empty apologies - well out of earshot of the others - Adhira placed her jeweled hand on his shoulder and drew him in for what looked like a warm greeting. "You are playing a very dangerous game of chicken with the head fucking hen, Loghain," she hissed into his ear, a fake smile plastered on her face as the other diplomats drew near.
She wanted the extent of the authority the Senate had given her to be clearly understood and the fact that she controlled a majority of the committee underscored that. With great effort, Adhira had already secured Elane's safe passage back to Coruscant, where she was being held under Alliance guard, on house arrest. Safer than in her brother's hands. "So good of you to finally join us, Regent," Adhira adopted a warm tenor, unlike what she had just communicated prior.
"The Committee is eager to see how you have... followed through on your promise to restore order to Kuat," Adhira motioned toward the others and their escorts, "shall we?" One of the Senate Guards held out a strong hand and helped hoist the elder senator into the ship and she awaited the companionship of the others. Hopefully, they would all get an aerial view of Kuat on the way to... wherever he was taking them.

Words that weren't his echoed in Bernard's mind. He recognized the technique that produced them, but the specific mechanics still eluded him. He noted the frequency of his recent encounters with it, however.

Those intrusions never failed to make him uncomfortable. Even that first time in Arkania's temple when another Jedi had touched his thoughts, he disliked the sensation. It felt like a breach against the sanctity of personal experience, to have someone peer into your mind. Yet, as much as he shunned the practice, he saw its pragmatism too. He chose not to comment on the matter as he followed Allyson's gaze, taking some comfort in the knowledge that he wasn't alone in his suspicions.

His eyes went over the committee just in time to catch the Corellian senator's gaze. Bernard's eyes were cold, his expression impassive and unreadable again. He held the man's gaze for several seconds. There was a hint of tension that passed between them momentarily, though Bernard did not perceive it as such. Furrowing his brows, the Jedi brought his hands together behind his back before allowing his eyes to wander on. His cloak billowed as the wind picked up and the loud whine of engines announced Senator Loghain's arrival, drawing everyone's attention.

Regent Loghain disembarked with an air of confidence Bernard found surprising, given not just the broader circumstances of Kuat's recent history, but also the committee that served no other purpose than to meticulously scrutinize his every move and decision. Though perhaps it was merely the temporary high of being the one who came to the rendezvous of powers with the bigger stick, he mused.

Bernard couldn't bite back the smirk as he regarded the regent's slow swagger towards their group. He didn't see anything dangerous or suspicious about the man, aside from the confidence he exuded, but there was still something off.

Beneath that facade, Bernard sensed something different working its pressure on the regent's mind, but he couldn't pierce the veil without drawing suspicion. He suddenly felt self-conscious about the thought. Shaking it away, he elected to watch the regent's exchange with senator Chandra, turning to Allyson after their initial exchange of words had concluded.

His look was expectant. As the senior Jedi, she would take the lead on this mission.
