Strengths:
- [ Wanton Destruction ] - For situations where collateral does not matter and the complete and utter razing of a target location, the Entropy System delivers the full devastation of beam laser weaponry over a larger area rather than single target as beam laser artillery is known for.
- [ Laser Refraction ] - The Entropy System is designed to reflect a vast majority of laser-based weaponry directed at it of varying degrees of power, as such it is highly unlikely to destroy it via laser weaponry.
- [ Offensive/Defensive Punisher ] - The Entropy System does two things extremely effectively; punishing offenses charges against a position defended by the Entropy System by cutting down enemy numbers and softening them up before their arrival and punishing entrenched position by raining laserfire upon them.
- [ Indiscriminate ] - The Entropy Laser Artillery system is as its name indicates, chaotic and unfocused. While it gets the message of wanton destruction across quite clearly, it is indiscriminate in its targets. It can hit any target within a target area, regardless of friend or foe and lacks the precision to be used in conjunction with friendly forces charging. In other words, used to raze a target area before a charge or assault, not during or with an attack.
- [ Disruption ] - While a difficult target to hit with conventional weapons the Entropy System can be neutralized via several means. The most potent is through the use of Ion or EMP disruption which will cause any reflector units to be rendered useless and fall out of the air. The other is simply by shooting them with weapons capable of reaching them, which is moderately more difficult to do without a skilled marksman.
DESCRIPTION
The KVX-626 'Entropy' Laser Refraction System is an experimental form of artillery being tested by the Sith Empire. The concept was a rapidly deployable form of artillery capable of laying out wanton and randomized destruction over a targeted area by deploying a series of missiles that released a drone into the air capable of refracting and redirecting a powerful laser beam. The rapid deployment of the Entropy System can be done from any conventional rapid fire missile platform, with larger missiles being able to carry multiple drones at once.
Each unit of the Entropy System is equipped with deployable propellors, allowing the unit to stay in the air and function as a refraction point for lasers. Micro thrusters integrated into the head allow for the unit to move and adjust positions. The reflector field redirects any laser weapon projected in its direction, allowing for laser artillery that might have their target obscured to be hit from above. Its destructive capabilities are reliant on the source of the laser being projected, with laser artillery similar to that of Self Propelled Heavy Artillery being extremely powerful.
The Entropy System is effective in softening up stationary and entrenched targets or incoming enemy forces as it lays out a 'death zone' that will create a field whilst also doubling the effective range of laser artillery. Anything that comes within the Entropy System's zone of effectiveness is essentially at the mercy of its chaotic nature.
