HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Nestled among the Percival Isles in the North Nennius Sea, Laurentia is renowned for the natural splendor of its seven picturesque islands. The landscape is dominated by lush pine forests and rugged coastlines, creating a breathtaking backdrop for the city.

The largest of these islands is Lohengrin, which serves as the heart of Laurentia. Positioned to offer panoramic views of the North Nennius Sea, Lohengrin is home to the bustling city center and serves as a hub for transportation and commerce. Ferry captains navigate the waters, ferrying residents and visitors alike to and from the island, while fishermen and coastal foragers share tales of the sea along the shores.

Stretching out from Lohengrin are the other six islands that comprise Laurentia. Dindrane, the second largest, occupies a prominent position, flanked by the smaller islands of Aglovale and Lamorak, which act as connecting points between the larger landmasses. Angharad lies to the north of Lohengrin, offering its own unique charm, while Peredur sits northwest of Dindrane. Troyes, the northernmost island, may be one of the smallest, but it holds its own allure.

Lohengrin and Dindrane stand as twin sentinels, with Lohengrin facing eastward toward the sunrise, while Dindrane gazes westward toward the setting sun, their proximity symbolizing the harmony and balance that define Laurentia's essence.

Many visitors find their way to Laurentia through the Tharp Starport and Transit Center, a cluster of small starports arranged in a sea-star configuration. At ground level, the center seamlessly connects with Darden Harbor, a bustling hub where passengers and cargo flow in and out daily. Ferries reign as the primary mode of transport to Laurentia, while transport shuttles offer a secondary option, especially for those bound for the city of Uther in the far northwest.

Laurentia stands as a beacon for scientific and medical innovation, housing prestigious institutions like the First Imperial Medical Services and the First Order Division of Science. With a strong emphasis on sustainability and environmental consciousness, the city features smaller, energy-efficient structures and enforces stringent environmental regulations.

During the tumultuous events of the Fall, the resourceful inhabitants of Laurentia utilized cutting-edge cold-based technology to mitigate the devastation caused by the scalebacks. This strategic intervention spared the city from severe damage, enabling it to weather the crisis and emerge relatively unscathed. As Dosuun embarked on its journey of recovery, Laurentia stood resilient, gradually rebuilding and restoring its once-affected areas.

By the mid to late 862nd year after the Battle of Yavin, the official recovery efforts concluded, paving the way for businesses outside the First Order's sphere to establish a presence in the city by early 863 ABY. Today, Laurentia thrives as a vibrant hub of scientific research, healthcare excellence, and artisanal craftsmanship, attracting individuals and enterprises alike. With an unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship, Laurentia continues to flourish, earning its place as one of Dosuun's most rapidly expanding cities.

Following the departure of the First Order from the galactic stage in 868 ABY, Primo Victorian Enterprises (PVE) assumed the mantle, ensuring the continuity of the initiatives set in motion by Ariel Yvarro. Spearheaded by Fiolette Fortan, the esteemed founder of PVE and mother of Ariel Yvarro, these endeavors herald a promising future for Laurentia and its inhabitants.

Following the establishment of the Dosuunian Commonwealth of Nations. Laurentia underwent significant transformations, aligning itself with the evolving landscape of Dosuunian governance. The city's esteemed medical and scientific institutions were rebranded under the umbrella of the Commonwealth, now known as the Commonwealth Medical Services and the Commonwealth Office for Science.

In line with the Commonwealth's commitment to preserving Imperial heritage, a regional office for the Commission for the Preservation of Imperial Heritage was established in Laurentia. This initiative was complemented by the founding of the Dosuunian Historic Preservation Society by the Dosuunian government, further underscoring the city's dedication to conserving its rich cultural legacy.

By the year 901 ABY, Laurentia continued to uphold its status as a beacon of innovation, science, and technology within the Dosuunian Commonwealth. With a renewed focus on preserving its Imperial heritage and fostering advancements in medical research and scientific endeavors, the city remained at the forefront of progress and excellence in the Commonwealth.
