Laws Upheld Dominion Wide

While all worlds within the Dominion are allowed to maintain their own forms of government as they see fit, there are certain laws pertaining to sentient right that all worlds must follow.

1. Freedom of Speech: Censoring the people is not accepted on any world within the Dominion. Any Dominion world taking part in such action will receive censure according to the scale of their infringement.

2. Freedom of Religion: So long as a person or a group does not present a threat to the Dominion, they may practice their beliefs how they see fit.

3. Right to Travel: Travel within the Dominion should be open to all.

4. Taxation: All worlds may impose their own taxes, so long as they pay a monthly tithe running on galactic standards time to the Dominion's central government.

5. Right to Medical Treatment: All individuals, regardless of their funds, have a basic sentient right to medical treatment when required.

6. Citizens' Government: The Dominion tolerates all forms of government within their borders, so long as basic sentient rights are met. However, if a signifigant part of the population calls for change, the Dominion is morally obliged to help bring about that change.

7. Representation: All worlds within the Dominion are allowed two representatives to serve within the senate. If these representatives are not present for senatorial meeting, their votes fall to the Archlord.

8. The Force and Religious Organizations: No sect of worship is restricted within Dominion space so long as they do not cause trouble to the communities they surround themselves with. These organizations will not be supported by the Dominion officially or financially unless they provide a particular service, the most common of which being military service. Force Sects that clash with one another will be dealt with accordingly.

9. Right to Information: Access to the holonet must remain completely unrestricted across Dominion space. Restricting holonet access falls under the same category as censorship, and will be dealt with accordingly.

10. Military Service: All Dominion worlds are expected to either raise their own military units or provide a tithe of soldiers to the Dominion's overarching military. Planetary units will serve as PDFs until they are called upon by the Archlord or one of his appointed generals.

11. Leadership: Under extreme circumstances, the senate may call for a vote of no confidence in the Archlord. A vote of 9/10ths must be reached to replace the Archlord, at which point a new ruling family among the lords shall be appointed to the position upon senate vote. Otherwise, the Archlord rules indefinitely, and the title will traditionally fall to their eldest offspring.
