Learning is fun!

"I know with practice that I can and will get better. I just need to practice is all which I truthfully don't do. It's something I hope to change. I'm not worried to about you hurting me. I have fought Force Users before and that was when I didn't know I was Force Sensitive. This time is much different," she nodded swinging it again just to get a better feel of it.

@[member="Krest"]

Krest nods. He holds his blade loosely in his grip, held down to the side of him. "Very well, begin." He pulled his sword up, staying defensive. He wasn't about to attack @[member="Sophia Walsh"] yet.

Sophia had learned through her training not to strike first, to let your enemy strike first. She wasn't about to be the first one to make a move but she waited holding her saber tightly with both of hers for him to make his. Her eyes went to his waiting and watching to see what he would do if anything. She knew he wanted her to strike first but that wasn't how she played the game and this was a game.

He watched the girl close, nodding. @[member="Sophia Walsh"] was playing it smart. And that impressed the Zabrak. He made the first move, sliding in close, attempting to move himself in her guard. There, he'd throw a punch for her gut. He wasn't about to use his saber yet, but he felt he was going to have to.

As he threw a punch to her gut she quickly moved herself in the opposite direction in order to avoid @[member="Kest"] attack and took a hand off of her saber to throw an upper cut at him. She wasn't a fighter however she had not forgotten her training and in fact that was one of the things she kept up on. She had since learned how to protect herself after her attack.

Krest took the uppercut like he takes most attacks, with a healthy dose of surprise. In truth, he didn't expect her to dodge his punch, let alone throw one of her own. That's what you get for underestimating people. He slides his way back, rubbing his jaw. "Good, better then I expected in truth." He launched forward again, holding his sword down low. Once he was close, he'd slash twice, once up, and then once again for @[member="Sophia Walsh"]'s chest.

"You forget, I used to be in the Navy. Basic training wasn't lost on me. I know how to fight." She had to learn how to run with the boys to make it as far as she had. Sophia had done it on her own merit as well which was less than what she could say for her baby younger sister whom she assumed would be in the Navy once she came of age.

She watched as he brought his sword up and than down lower bringing her saber up to clash with his. She pushed against his trying to push him away but he was stronger than her so she was having trouble as he was pushing back on her.

Krest broke the lock, swinging his saber back, only to bring it down overhead. He continued to do so, bashing with his saber in a similar fashion to a Sith. His eyes were focused however, he was not in a berserk. Just testing @[member="Sophia Walsh"]'s defense. Should she falter he would pull back on his strike, not wanting either of them to be hurt.
