Nomad was on the duchess.

He was there for a bit of rest, well at least he tagged it that.

Nomad was in the cargo hold hiding behind boxes. He sitting and stared at a small box with a lot of concentration, he didn't even notice several people walking in and out.

Nomad was probably there for at least an hour, staring at the box with nothing happening.

On board the duchess, Oka went to check out the cargo and make sure no smugglers were aboard. Once he cut a corner, he saw [member="Nomad Crimson"], a friend.

"Hey Nomad, what brings you here and why are you just staring at that crate?" Oka asked Nomad hoping he would mistake him for someone else since this ship was a special one.

 

[Noamd]

"W-wha" Nomad said, he jumped with his concentration broken "uh.. Nothing" he said sliding the box behind him.

"What are you doing here, I thought this place rarely get's visited in flight" it was obvious that nomad was trying to avoid any conversation involving the box.

"Well if something needs guarded, I'm in. What you doing with that box?" Oka asked walking over to Nomad. He usually noticed things like that, when he used to battle stuff would fly everywhere causing Oka to keep an eye out on it.

Nomad sighed "It's nothing, it's just a stupid hunch"

Nomad stood up and faced Oka "I was wrong about it anyway... Say, the force how do you use it" he asked hoping he wasn't giving too many clues.

Oka didn't really know that answer. "I guess I just... focus and reach out. I trained for 12 years and I guess I just learned it. I first heard about the force in the books my father gave me." Strange for that to come from Nomad, strange...

Nomad sighed again "I'm not a very good liar. I've been trying to lift that box with the force, I've used a few times before but I can't control it. At least I think that's what's happened" he looked to the small box then back at Oka

"Have you ever tried seeking training?" Oka asked taking off his mask. The armor was heavy but felt good.

[Noamd]

"No, I don't really want to go to the Jedi or Sith" Nomad said. It was true.

He continued to stare at Oka.

[Oka Osaa]

"Well I don't know how you feel about rogues but I could teach you basic elements of the force." Oka explained as he thought about it. This wouldn't be easy but every FU in the galaxy would help.

[Noamd]

"I don't mind rouges, are you sure you want to teach me?" Nomad questioned.

[Oka Osaa]

"The real question is are you ready to die. Before you become a force user, you must be prepared to die in the force and physically. The constant feeling of knowing you will die will help you live. So, are you ready to die and are you ready to become one with the force?" Oka asked putting his mask back on. This was a new beginning.

Nomad wasn't sure about the cryptic message. "I don't want to die, not yet anyway." Nomad said.

"I didn't ask if you want to die. Are you ready to die if something happens. Say your girl gets stuck on a pirate ship. you get her out but you wanna settle a score with the leader. The ship blows up while you're in it." Oka said as he rose his voice. "Are you ready to die for a cause?" he asked.

"Oh, yes I am." Nomad said. He wasn't sure whether he meant it or not but he would try.

"Okay, when would you like to begin?" Oka asked. This was going to be weird. He never taught the force to anyone before.

"I think so" Nomad said, it wasn't sure of what will happen but he would try.

[Oka Osaa]

"First, sit down. Then breathe in and out to relax." Oka said sitting down with him. "Clear your mind of your location. Focus on the box, the box only. See it in a clear space just sitting there. Reach out and let the force flow through your veins." The force didn't really flow through your veins but it felt like it. "Slowly pick up the box. This isn't going to work a few times and you're going to get frustrated but just focus."

Nomad didn't speak he just listened and did what Oka told him to do.

He pictured the box in his head, nothing else. He imagined picking up the box with an invisible hand.

The box didn't move no matter how long Nomad tried to lift it. "It doesn't want to move" He said after what seemed like hours of trying.

"That's because you want to move it. Let the force move it. Not just you, the force will take its time until it knows you're ready. Try again." Oka insisted as he closed his eyes searching Nomad for the force.
