People were fickle. You couldn't just make something that solved the problem and be done with it all. Unless you put forth something with all pros and no cons, someone (and usually many someones) were going to not like your and/or your solution. He may have been instrumental in removing the Kremlin population, but if he didn't fix the pollution, that's all he was likely to be remembered for.

As such, he brought up the file "Post Kremlin Solution". He had started work on the clean up solution, but had left it saved in a file for just this time. He had pretty much forgotten what it was until he opened and looked at it's small content again. The key ingredient to the poison was metal phosphides. Now, the immediate idea that came to Bhaltair's mind was people walking around and comically thinking that they could wave magnets around to fix the situation.

However, that was far from the necessary solution. Too many people would get hung up on treating the problem at the source: the ground. However, Bhaltair knew that nature had a way of righting itself...just, not enough for this case. The trees would take in whatever the surrounding soil had to offer, but wouldn't pull in the metal phosphides before the rain washed/pushed it down through the ground and...into the water table.

Metal, being heavier per size than other non-metal materials, would be forced downward by the water flow and then directed with the rest of the water table to its final destination. The meat would decay and naturally dissipate. It might even make the soil richer...maybe, but at least it shouldn't have any negative effects on the environment. It was already going to be some time before natural wildlife could move back in and populate the area, so that wasn't his concern. Rainfall was heavy and frequent, so dispersing and cleaning up the mess wasn't the problem either. Water was and is the strongest natural solvent in the known galaxy.

Bhaltair pulled up fully-comprehensive geographical maps of the surrounding target area. He went down through the ground levels until he found the established water table. He then followed that water table until he found out where the vast majority of the water was going to flow into: The Bokinaw River. Now, to consider the possibilities. Filtration? Water treatment? He started researching.

It became late. He rubbed his eyes and tried not to envision the multitude of red eyes that tried to haunt him from that tired place between sleep and consciousness. He saved his work, shut down the lab and left for his quarters.

The next day, he was back in the saddle. Time to consider those possibilities.

Filtration? Can't do it. The fish and other aquatic wildlife wouldn't be able to get through. Water treatment? Ha! Not in moving water. That was a waste of time and money, let alone the low rate of success. So, what WOULD work. Bhaltair puzzled over this until he moved on to see if there was anything on the Holonet that already dealt with this kind of problem. After some more surfing, he found it.

A company had to do something similar before. They had set up structures on either side of a river. Each structure held a magnetic extension that remained inside the water of the river. A small generator, solar panels and hydro power kept the magnetism working. It would take a few...well, a good many strings to be pulled and negotiated with, but...it would be well worth it. This would be the Mandalorian's final act in securing their hold on the planet.

Later

Bhaltair stood on the banks of the Bokinaw River. He was standing over the blueprints for the magnetizing structures and tried to explain their purpose. In return, the engineers would explain how and where best to place them. A balance had to be struck between allowing for as much infect ground water to be caught and having the least amount of river area to be infected before being cleansed.

Maintenance schedules had to be set up with the local government to prevent the build-up of metal phosphides and allow the magnetizers to work at max efficiency. Of course, the property assets would be transferred back later into the hands of the Mandalorians. But, in the mean time, the government would have the tool it needed to keep its ecosystem healthy.

When Bhaltair was made certain that the only thing left to do was to build it, he packed up everything and left. It was time to head home. He'd had enough of this planet.

Objective: Don't get eaten

Usually, Betna took the time to take in the sights, explore the area, and generally get accustomed to new surroundings. The idea was to go on a small hunting foray and bag a little game while he explored the region. Unfortunately, even outside of combat conditions, no plan survived contact with the enemy. The enemy in this case? A hungry predator.

A really, really big hungry predator.

He broke through the treeline in a breakneck sprint, stopping only long enough to send off a burst of fire from his slugthrower sub-gun before hauling shebs once more. Spotting other Mandos ahead, he angled towards them, waving his arms as he ran full tilt. Behind him, trees moved or were knocked down as the ground shook from small, steady impact tremors.

"Hey! HEY!" he shouted as he closed with the others. "We need to get clear!"

As he shouted, the really, really big predator broke through the foliage. It spotted Betna easily and angled in with earth-shattering roar.

"Kuryida Edee!" Betna shouted as he bolted past the other Mandos.

Draco sat leaning his back against a large tree sitting up a few meters off the ground, effectively just whistling to himself, waiting for people or things to happen near him. His thoughts were preoccupied, thinking of his new love interest. The hot, young Senator from Alderaan had drawn his eye, and they had flirted aboard his ship for a time, sharing a number of passionate moments before they were forced to separate and now he had a visit out in the Lake Country of Alderaan to look forward too.

Off about a hundred meters off, none other than Arrbi Betna broke from the tree line, running as fast as his legs could carry him through knee high grass as trees behind him cracked and swayed out, the earth trembled slightly, and the Mandalorian veteran kept right on sprinting directly away from the obstruction.

"Kuryida what now?" Draco's voice was skeptical, questioning. He'd never heard of the beast and was basically expecting an explanation. And he received one. His sensors light up and life form indicators pinged a massive beast, a really big predator pushing through the jungles at top speed after the Mandalorian. Draco's eyes got wide and as Arrbi ran past him, his own legs surged with activity and blood as Draco turned and started running as well, chasing his fellow Mandalorian. Being a Force Hunter, he was ill prepared to deal with something that big. Very ill prepared.

But, what he could do was out run Betna.

The bulky Verd was scouting for any insurgents that dared to oppose and retaliate against the majority of the Mandalorian influence which would be met with the barrels of his repeating that only spilled death to its victims. Of course, there was Death Watch traitors and remnants of the Primeval zealots to lookout for which complicated the job a bit much, yet the two hostile forces were outnumbered and outgunned. It'd be a pain in the shebs to slay the Primeval remnants since they weren't experiencing what the Death Watch Mandalorians were having at the moment. In moments the True Mandalorian strike force in Mount Tantiss would repel the influence that the Death Watch were having on this planet, and that would leave the Primeval as the only pest to rid of.

His march stopped as the earth shook, the trees trembling, and the birds flying away when large footsteps stomped on the ground. From the treeline Mandalorians were running in all directions as they were being followed by a massive predator that had never been seen before. A psychological mechanism in Iegoris' body made him to drop his gun and start running with Arrbi and Draco from the beast. "The hell you did," the juggernaut yelled at his two comrades while having the adrenaline in his body helped him to move faster.

Well, there was no way in getting this zealot to surrender and be reconciled. The way he spoke had more amplitude than Tralik when he spoke of blood and war. Julian was just a pure psychopath with no morals and no sense of humanity. This was over the line than what the Death Watch stood for, or so Vilaz believed that as he never acknowledged the principles and ways of Death Watch. What a poor excuse of a Mandalorian Julian was to everyone, both Death Watch and the True Mandalorians. Running out of cover and charging, not caring if it could lead to his death; however, that demonstrated that this zealot wasn't very intelligent which proved that he was not dangerous as his words.

Standing from his crouched position the Field Marshal aimed both his pistols at the Death Watch Mandalorian while having his personal shield eat up the accurate blaster projectiles coming from Julian. Even his aim was something to not be worried about as he was shooting at all different directions and not directly at his opponents. How did the Death Watch recruited him, and could they support this being. The Redneck didn't care at all as he was about to put the smack down on Julian.

"Easy out, guys. Easy out."

It seemed her current companion had vanished into thin air... not that the air in the mines was particularly thin. It was rather stale, though. And for that reason, Anija was glad for the air filtration system in her helmet. There was something to be said about the new suit of armor. It was a technological wonder, as far as she was concerned, but it included pretty much everything she would need for a job such as this, or almost any engineering or exploratory mission.

As she continued moving through the tunnels, she consulted her scans closely. There was still a great bit of movement ahead.. though it did seem to have decreased somewhat. Frowning, Anija whispered a command to ANNE to run lifeform scans of the area ahead. it took a few seconds, but finally, Anija saw the results flicker across her HUD. The sheer number of clustered lifeform readings ahead which indicated a colony of Kremlin had in fact decreased.

And as ANNE continued to run more scans, Anija saw way. There was something in the groundwater. On her scanners, it appeared like a soft purple glow, though she knew, it was probably clear. It was just the way ANNE had chosen to represent it on the scan result. It appeared that someone had introduced a neurotoxin of sorts into the water supply. Crouching, Anija dug a small scanner from her belt to get a closer look. And when she did, she grinned. There was only one person along on the mission who could have devised such a thing. And he'd done a good job from all accounts. [member="Bhaltair Dhimani"]

Even as she watched her scanners, the massed lifeform readings still continued to decrease in number. And, as she thought some more, she whispered a question to ANNE. The AI's answer was almost instantaneous. "The substance in the water supply is not toxic to humanoids. It looks t o have been specifically formulated for Kremlin physiology, so there should be no danger." That was a comforting bit of information, at least. With a nod to herself, Anija moved a bit further into the tunnels and worked to clear more of the Kremlin with her flamethrower. It was definitely easier with the decreasing numbers.

After a while, she'd worked her way down into the mine and cleared a good path. And it seemed that between the toxin, and the dead bodies that lay behind her, it served as an effective deterrent for now. Slowly, she turned and began working her way back towards the mine's surface access. As she did so, she felt a spike of alarm from [member="Arrbi Betna"]. That caused her to frown again and she took off, sprinting as fast as she could towards the lift. Sure, they were old, but she didn't trust the stairs, not after the Invasion by Primeval. She knew at least one of the lifts still worked. A sense of urgency spurred her to move faster, and she found herself at the lift a few minutes later. Hammering her fist on the panel, she waited for the few seconds - a small eternity - for the doors to grind open.

Objective: Build a witch encampment & meet with the Myneyrshi

The scouting party had been given specific instructions.

Care was to be taken with the Myneyrshi. The bulk of the refugees that had escaped had once again returned. As they were a tribal society, it was wise to deal and perhaps trade with them. They were known to be swift of foot, ghost darting through the forests. Much like the scouts of Singing Mountain, they were adapt a simply disappearing from sight. At being shadows.

Kytarra would not be deterred.

The visions had been clear. They were to set up relations here. Summoning magic with a guttural chant, she summoned the spirit of the Maalraas. With its tracking blessing, they would narrow down upon the Myneyrshi to meet.

Kadesh was a stranger to a new land.

Darting through the thick verdant jungle, the young witch would deftly move and jump over tree trunks and roots. She was but a blur, a blink to the eye. Alabaster hair, blue paint, and tribal attire, the young teenager was a WindTalker in training. While she could not speak basic of any sort, she had with her her the knowledge of the spell of communication.

At fifteen, she had worked with the Shaman Of Singing Mountain to learn from the elder. As a WindTalker, she would be task to serve each and every clan, be it Allyan or Nightsister, and learn their ways. Her own shaman had seen the signs upon her first trial, and her true purpose coming to them in a vision.

It was a rather daunting quest for the shy girl, but she would do what the Winged Goddess and the Fanged God so deamed.

Identity confirmed. This was the camp he was told about, and this was the Jedi he'd been told he'd be assisting. He was surprised, to have been greeted so firmly by such a smaller person, and a female no less.

"Aye, that'd be me.", Kassius confirmed. Callista had brought him up to speed on the situation at the camp. Most of the wounded had been stabilized and treated, but even more alarming were her concerns with the sheer number of Kremlins out there. Kassius had come in hopes of obtaining some hands on medical experience, but he was just as good at providing site security. In the end, he decided he'd set himself to whatever task the Jedi needed him to do most.

"So how can I be of assistance, Jedi?"

The area they had settled in would bring to mind the thick jungles near the Misty Falls. Indeed, this area was laden full with streams and waterfalls, providing fresh water. A cleansing and ritual by the Shaman was done first, asking for blessings from the spirits that lived within this domain. Thereafter, the clearing and construction of this encampment went underway.

A secure perimeter would utilize the natural rock and mountainside defenses. There was a high point nearby that would make an excellent scouting point.

Kytarra would settle beside a large hearthfire, her milky white eyes peering into the flames. The Outworlder was still being hunted, but they would bring him forth soon enough. She had faith in the witch trackers.

Soon, yes. Soon.

Objective: I. Liberating Fort Monroe
Post: 4/20
Allies: [member="Gray Raxis"]

Gray Raxis said:
" You think two is too many people for this job? I agree, one Mandalorian is all it would take to claim the place. As far as the plan goes, I think we should do something I have done before to get into pirate ships without being noticed. We bury ourselves under the stuff in the crates so they cover us. If they do anything short of a live form check of the crates, which there is no reason they would do something like that, then we should be fine. If not then I guess we move onto plan B. Blasters blazing while bombs blow up."

Zef listened to the younger Mandalorian as he explained his arguement and the scoundrel chuckled. The boy really was a man of action, and a man of action was what both needed here. Both of them proceeded through the thick forest towards the main road where apparantly the forces that occupied the fort were using as a supply line. The ex-smuggler nodded to what Gray explained regarding information about the enemy's supply lines, it was really essential to have gained such intel. His plan to sound like Death Watch was amusing but very well thought.

"You'd make a good smuggler you know with those cheating plans of yours"

When the enemies approached near enough, Gray was already in firing position. The scoundrel noticed the stun function of the younger Mandalorian's pistol and he cursed that he had not brought any non-lethal weapons. He carried, as always, his favored Verpine pistol.

"I will take out the two behind"

As Gray began his assault, Zef's quick draw and aim were true as both targets were hit with great precision. The old man had not lost his touch. Whether they were dead or unconciouss from the heavy kinetic force of his pistol was up to the enemy's armor yet Zef was in doubt that they were alive. Verpine pistols were highly lethal and really amazing in Zef's opinion.

Allies: Just Julian now

Whatever was going through Julian's mind, it was all violent, all gross, and very grotesque. When he realized that his blaster was just being blocked by a shield, he grunted to himself. Sure, everything he was doing was stupid, it was plain to see this was not how you fight a battle that you hoped to win. But, Julian wasn't hoping to win this battle, he was hoping to endure it. Running now at top speed, his aim became more precise, and in bursts of fire, Julian found himself upon the Mando, arms length away.

Turning the rifle around so he held it by the barrel, he swung with all his might to beat the mando in the head. Behind the helmet, a crazed grin was stitched to his face. This was what he lived for, or was it? When this was over, and he came back to his true self, Julian would remember none of this. The sad part of being a sleeper agent, with a single signal, none of this would matter anymore.

"I hope you like the taste of durasteel! Now eat up!"

Gray took out the other guard as with his rifle rounds as the men on the back died to Zef's fire. The driver of the transport was forced to a stop by the speeders and bodies of the men being in the way. As this happened the driver ducked into their floorboard in an attempt to avoid being hit by any fire that might have been directed their way. Gray saw this and turned to Zef. He said, " Alright, lets move in. I'll stun the driver and take a shot in the shoulder of both of them. Make it look like we tried to kill them instead of just knock them out. While I do you can work on removing some of those crates off of the back before I get over and help. Whenever you are ready, lets move out."

Gray waited for Zef's reply before he moved down to the transport. He got to the driver seat with his blaster in hand and still set to stun. The driver had a pistol in their hand and it was shaking as he came up. The man was completely terrified and took some pop shots that completely missed him because of how unsteady their aim was. Gray took a stun shot at them and knocked them out. He then switched his gun back to its regular mode and shot them in the shoulder. The man luckily didn't wake up from it, so Gray moved onto the trooper he had shot off of the speeder. He shot them in the shoulder as well and was lucky again that it didn't seem to wake them up. It was possible the fall from the speeder had knocked them out more than the stun shot had done. He holstered his pistol and went to the transport to help with the task of getting the plan in motion.

[ 5/ 20 ]

The Myneyrshi were well aware of the newest inhabitants.

Hasyi Va Na's body glittered like crystal under the glow of the sun. That was the side effect of their physiology. He stared into his own hearthfire, watching the flames lick wood and burn embers. His long snout would shift, the thick bridge of his brows furrowing.

There had been visions of this. Yet he was unsure if this was good or bad. Much contemplation would be had over interacting with the Witches. For now, Myneyrshi scouts had been tasked to track the women. To follow their movements. Their position down river wasn't too harmful, and they were far enough from their own camp that they could remain safe.

But what would come? He did not know. So he drank of the drink that would send him into a trance like state. There, he would find his answer.

Kadesh came sliding to a halt.

Her white head rose, the small jingles of her decorative hair pieces moving along her back and chest. Bare wet earth soaked up against her bare feet. A trickling river rose before her, wide as three rancor widths and a deep blue hue reminicent of the Dreaming River itself.

Someone was watching her. Kadesh could feel it. A slight narrowing of her bright blue eyes came then. Hunching over, she cocked her head slightly to the right. Listening. The sigh of the wind met the leaves of the trees. Large green fronds swayed, and the buzz of insects seemed to rise in concert to the breathing of the wind.

Yes.

Someoene was out there. But who?

Almond shaped eyes narrowed further in focus. Where are you.... ?

The roar of the beast was deafening, and Draco, without beast hunting weaponry or gear, wasn't about to be the one to turn and face it. All he had was a pair of ion beamers that might numb a finger or a toe, and close combat weapons. The explosive darts on his shoulders weren't exactly made for putting down six meter tall lizards with lightsaber resistant bones and tough hides like armorweave. Nor was his body capable of handling being chewed on by a creature known for crushing small speeders in its jaws.

His legs surged and pushed him ahead of the older warrior, running as fast as he could through the jungles, hearing the heavy footfalls of the kuryida edee closing behind them. <I've got a lot to live for, sorry buddy.> Draco liked Betna, and in normal circumstances wouldn't be focusing on outrunning him like this, but this was a monster he couldn't beat, and wouldn't survive a head to head confrontation with. Force dead, pissed, and hungry were all things that made his powers and abilities practically useless. The most he would be able to do was piss it off more with Force Lightning, distracting it. And for right now, with no chance of escape, he didn't feel pleased about the idea of being alone running from this monster.

His legs kept pushing him onward, and quickly he checked the battery on his jump pack. One minute of flight time. Not a lot, not nothing. He could work with one minute of flight time.

Location: Wayland, Torrential Forest
Objective 4: Eliminate pockets of Primeval Resistance
Allies: Mandalorians
...the firefight with the Primeval remnant had been brutal and extended well beyond the time it should have taken to capture the position. The cost of life was more than Andras had initially accounted for when he ordered the Initiates under his command to lay down fire and engage their enemies. Any man who lived past this battle would bare the scars of its passing. Now that the smoke was starting to clear it was easier for everyone to assess the damage done. The Mandalorians had engaged the Primeval over a ridge that dropped down into a section of foliage and torrential forest, Primeval forces had used the cover to their advantage hiding themselves from an aerial overview but it wasn't the troops that had been hidden that proved to be so devastating it was the heavy weapon emplacements. Engaging in combat the Mandalorians struck hard initially but were pinned down as their enemies regrouped. It took flanking maneuvers and the loss of life to lock in the victory of the day....

---------

....Andras moved through the remains of the Primeval encampment, most of which was hidden beneath camo netting and the natural foliage of the torrential forests of Wayland. At one side of him the bodies of several primeval warriors who had died manning a heavy repeating blaster emplacement. A grenade had finished them it looked like. Another look deeper into the encampment revealed subsequent bodies armed with a variety of weaponry both conventional and archaic. As Andras moved deeper into the encampment he hesitated, his face grimacing as he looked down and saw the body of an Initiate outfitted in Aliit'gam whose chestplate was smoking. He'd died in glorious battle but somehow the Dark Horse didn't see this battle as so glorious. Once he'd taken a moment Andras would step over the corpse and move on...

...comms were quiet but as Andras proceeded deeper into the encampment he'd come over local comms, encrypted against monitoring...
"Check in. Who's alive out there."...a number of voices came over comms moments later. Check One. Check Two. Check Three. Etc. The Initiate teamed with Andras came into view in the background, the hud of Andras beskar'gam picked him up in the rear and Andras would motion to him by drawing his right hand back and signalling with a jerk of his fingers. It was as if to say -come closer-. The Initiate did so without a word...

...they came upon the command of the outpost, a dead humanoid laying face down in the dirt with what appears to have been an arm removed either in melee or by an explosion. No matter. Andras approached, knelt down and rolled the body over before catching the glassy dead eyes of what had been his enemy staring back at him. The encampment was cleared, this was one more step in driving the Primeval from Wayland completely but there were other guerilla forces out there, hiding and ready to make things difficult for the Mandalorian advance. Reaching out Andras would run his hands over the corpse of the dead man, searching him before he came back with a viable datastick that he'd hand back to the Initiate...
"Get this checked out."...he'd instruct, maybe all this dying hadn't been for nothing...
