The Mephirium jerked sharply as it broke through atmosphere. The planet's cities had gone completely dark. There was no communication nor any use of electricity across the entire world, except for one place. right on the equator of the world a strange signal constantly transmitted a sign of distress. The Mephirium drifted over a large swamp and settled at the edge of a clearing. It looked as if it were designed for ships.

Off from the clearing was a rotten, wooden walkway leading to what looked to be an old abandoned temple. It stopped halfway and sunk into the murky water. A small village rimmed the temple; foreboding and unwelcoming to any who looked at it.

The Mephirium's gangplank slid open. Graxin settled the ships drives and an eerie silence fell over the vessel. Slowly, the sound of the swamp began to creep through the shuttle's hull. "We've arrived...[member="Lord Eclipsion"], will you be joining us?" Graxin questioned as he affixed his lightsabers to his belt. "Someone needs to look into that temple, and another has to stay on the ship and give us overwatch. Volunteers?"

Linori clears her throat and lifts her hand from her datapad. “I like the idea of, you know, staying aboard.” The miraluka shifted uncomfortably as the sounds of the swamp tickled her sensitive ears. Yeah, staying on the Mephirium sounded like a fantastic idea. “What do you need me to do?”

[member="Graxin Rade"]

"Linori, huh? Not bad," the pilot commented, wondering if the Miralukan could read her own name. It was a funny thought to her, and she giggled over it until she realized how rude that might have seemed. She cut herself off and blushed, hoping that she was not already taken to be offensive. It was still an entirely foreign concept to her as to how the eyeless people could see.

The blind girl continued, and Corvetta's mood took a dive when it was revealed that her friend Graxin had killed her boss. She tried to play it down, but things were already shaky enough between the navigator and the Sith Knight. She was feeling uncomfortable about the whole trip all over again and agreed with Linori about staying with the ship. "Yeah, I think we can just hang here. Ya know--make sure the natives don't chew the wiring? They've prob'ly got some wicked teeth."

Graxin tilted his head toward the two women He seemed to muse it over for a long moment; his hand rising up to cup his chin. "Sure. Maybe you could try and contact one of the cities? If something goes awry, we'll be relying on you." His hand fell away from his chin, and his arms folded tight over his chest. "Though we should be okay."

The Knight nodded matter of factly and glanced down at the swamp just outside the ramp. It didn't look very hospitable. He visibly cringed, and shifted his amber gaze back to [member="Corvetta Salvo"]. He looked almost apologetic for the moment, and then his eyes were back to the swamp. "I figure [member="Lord Eclipsion"] can come with me to the village. [member="Kelios Shara-da"] and [member="Darth Ferus"] can check out the temple. We'll cover more ground that way....any objections?"

He made a point to take Eclipsion with him. Graxin wanted to find out just where she stood on things...and he wanted her away from Ferus for now.

The Chiss Lord squinted had [member=Graxin Rade], gazing at him suspiciously. ' He's planning something...' She thought to herself, as she walked over to Graxin. " I'm... good with this. " She responded, as she looked at the strange planet. The Knight gave one last look at the rest of the crew, until she hopped out of the ship, and swung herself on the muddy ground.

Graxin followed quietly after her. [member="Darth Ferus"] and [member="Kelios Shara-da"] would proceed at their own rate. It was better to get Eclipsion far away for the time being anyway. "Lin, check to see if anyone is alive out there." He asked as he made his way out the doorway.

The Knight fought back a grimace as his boots squelched into the mud. His gaze drifted over to [member="Lord Eclipsion"], then to the temple. "We can try to go over the water, or we can go around." He began, arms folding over his chest as he took in the wild surroundings. "It's your call. I don't mind either way." The Sith gave Eclipsion a small slip of a smile, and clicked is comm unit to make sure it was working.

The sound of sharp static came through it, and Graxin sighed with quiet relief. "[member="Corvetta Salvo"] should be able to exfill us quickly if things get messy."

[member="Linori Pryde"]

Lord Eclipsion pondered this for a second, when she suddenly began moving. " Through the water. " The knight stated without emotion. She stepped into the grimy and dirty muck, grimacing as she trudged through the dirty and slimy mud. As it became deeper, she unclipped her lightsaber, and raised her hands in the air. Eventually, in moved into an incline and she was on the other side. The Sith Lord gazed at the temple, as she waited for [member=Graxin Rade].

"Well, you certainly know how to have fun." Graxin shot at her as he began to follow. Trudging through a swamp wasn't exactly his idea of a good time, but it had to be done. He held his twin blades up high as he waded through, his expression rather calm, almost amused as he emerged on the other side.

He reached down to wipe some of the gunk off his pants, and shifted his gaze over to [member="Lord Eclipsion"] "Fun indeed...we can just swim in it for awhile if you want." He jested, beginning to make his way toward the temple's massive; once grand entrance.

Linori sighs heavily and hefts herself to her feet. She moves back to the cockpit and pulls up a few screens, trying to get a read on the general area. A part of her felt terrible she wouldn’t be more help on this mission, but another part was quite grateful for the fact. The only good she’d be outside of the ship is one hell of a meat-shield, and even that wouldn’t last for long against Gods know what on this planet.

The miraluka tugs on a headset and switches to a different screen. Her brow furrows as she switches screen for screen, each coming up with blank or false readings."Come on, there has to be something here," she whispers beneath her breath, a rather disappointed tone to her voice as she continued to bring up negative readings. Linori adjusts the headset over her ears and sits back in the chair. As soon as she’d flipped to a radar, Linori would freeze up. The high pitched, ear-shattering buzzing would sound from the headphones, causing her to abruptly throw the headset against the table.

“F-Frak!” she shouts, rubbing at her ears and glaring at the glowing radar. Was that an error too? Maybe the ship just wasn’t cut out for this sort of expedition thing, but none of the instruments she’d use to find signs of life had felt –too- complicated. Linori holds the headphones a few inches away from her ear, listening to the pulsating buzzing that occurred.

Lord Eclipsion smirked for a second, but it vanished as quickly as it had appeared. " You would enjoy that, wouldn't you? " The Lord replied with a hint of sarcasm, as she followed suit in his approach to the entrance. While rotting and cracked and covered in moss, the entrance was intricate and rather beautiful, at least to the Chiss's eye. She often visited Cadomai Prime, appreciating the fine art that had been collected there. Eclipsion turned to [member=Graxin Rade], and motioned for him to move on.
