Let's set some goals.

Principles

 1. Mysterious

 2. Originality

 3. We Come to You

 4. Dark Side

So taken from the above, we can say that our primary focus as principle is to be a mysterious faction. We should strive for our roleplay to constantly break the 'norms' and explore new areas. From there we should maintain a sense of originality as long as it's mysterious.
At the same time we need to reach out and bring roleplay and writers by our own efforts, so long as that reaching out is within our focus as a mysterious and original faction. Lastly, we should remain a Dark Side faction but not allow that to affect who we reach out to, dictate our originality, or conflict with our mysterious side.

We should set some goals based on the information listed above. Where do we need to improve? What would get all of you more interested and involved... Or better yet what can we do to make it easier for you guys to get more interested and involved?

Well I'm new, brought in by you and jumped into a thread that seemed fitting. All of you are still a mystery to me and each is unique in their own way. I'd like to learn more about the faction through threads, but given the time of year, I can understand it being slow. I do try to keep things going. At least as much as a little lightsider can in a group of...well, uniquely dark individuals.

Well I believe it was you and I that spoke on Skype about it, but a Primeval Skype Chat would help keep things interesting. In real time the players that make up the faction can communicate.

Not really an idea you're looking for, but it is still something I believe could be useful. You could also have members judging members; if there is to much drama a single voice can step up and say the offender needs to leave. It wouldn't need the Primeval heads to do so.

I love this concept!

Some thoughts.
I think we sometimes fail to deliver the mysterious side of things. To solve that me personally would like to see more religious focus in our RP.
From where I am sitting most RP done is mostly similair to sith or slightly evil RP.
I was taken by [member="Boo Chiyo"] s format here about the factions beliefs. I think this can be brought much more into the light giving the faction an even more unique personality.
To add, on that perhaps redo the hierarchy into a more caste of priestly hierarchy for "clerics of the faith" and then add Dark Templar title to those who are "only warriors"

More worship and do cruel things because it is the will of our gods, less just be evil for our own reasons.

Its my two cents.

More blood.

But in all seriousness, focusing a little bit more on religion seems appealing to me.

Plus more blood.

I think we need to more greatly define the different segments of the Primeval.

First we had the Bleeding Sun. Then the Agents. The Warlords, and the Bannermen.

Obviously we shouldn't try to pigeonhole members into unique segments of our faction, but in my experience new members could just use a little more direction of where to go and how to start out.

 • For the Bleeding Sun, I highly recommend we re-organize its structure into this: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/65183-update-seekers-of-the-rift/, and keep the Agents in there as the NFU version of the separation system. There could be Riftborne Agents, Riftwalker Agents, and Riftsinger Agents, but they are all NFU and do their own thing just like the FU's do. As for the FU's though, I HIGHLY SUGGEST WE EMULATE VOODOO.
 • The Warlords are pretty self-explanatory, and quickly becoming a popular segment of the community much to my enjoyment! :D However, maybe we could also make this the home of our Pirate groups and such, with them taking over planets as Pirate Lords rather than Warlords.
 • The Bannerman are obviously the grunts, the soldiers, the shock force. I'm not sure how much we could expand this to be more mysterious and dark side orientated, but to keep true to our themes, we need to set a goal to expand this segment of our little society here.
 • Anything else I'm forgetting, either needs a major rework, a merge into one of the three, or needs to be discarded.

I'm just suggesting that we post up somewhere a step by step description of all that the Primeval has to offer an individual when one chooses one of these groups, and give them a religious and a non-religious option for each.

The Legion of Talos needs to expand its word to other systems. I'd like to move around and use my accomplishments at Dubrillion as a spark for something fun to do.

As God of Dubrillion I must lead my subjects to salvation and expand the ever growing religion of Talos the Merciless.

Communication is definitely important and while I don't agree with you that a Skype chat is the answer, we'll definitely include it in a list of mediums to consider. If anyone has any alternatives off the top of their head, that'd be great too. One big concern is that not everyone has access to Skype, too, but we all have access to our forums. ;)

Definitely! I know plenty of others have expressed their interest in exploring the religious side of The Primeval as well. It's something we really need to get done right. Aside from Boo's format for how to roleplay our religion; do you have any suggestions on how we might go about this?

This is a very intelligent suggestion. I say we follow it--let's go for it. This is a good goal for us to set; I'll put my own thought into this and get back to you but don't hesitate to take initiative if you can.

I don't feel it's wise to formalize the ruling class. If people are pirates, they are; if they're warlords then they're that too. The function doesn't change based on the themes, the themes are merely what people decide to follow for their own personal enjoyment. :)

I liked the idea of just including that into the Bleeding Sun but if you'd feel we should make it a separate aspect of our faction then I'm all ears.

I suck at this. I suck at it so much. If there's anyone who wants to do this, feel free. Send me a PM or whatever with a draft and i'll get it out there!

[member="Anja Aj'Rou"] It was the Voodoo part wasn't it? :p

Anyway, I'm totally fine with the Bannermen being thrown into the Bleeding Sun, I just wasn't sure where all of our groups fit into the picture! Which is why I think someone needs to define our available segments into advertising esc things, which you are pretty good at, so you gotta give yourself some credit ;)

If you're not in the mood for it, I give my hand in it as well.

Besides, I've gotta make Zambrano's version of the Primeval faith! Move over Boosim, hello Zambranoism!

ALSO! We should do awesome Faction threads with each other where we don't always get along because of our rampant diversity.
Strongly agreed, sir.

Yeah, I can probably come up with something--I just have to wrap my head around it.

I could umm....be a healer...yeah. I suck at trying to be a bad guy as I'm just too nice. So I'll just learn about all the different sectors of the group as I go along. I always need more allies ;)

First and foremost, I advocate a Primeval Skype Chat. It is one of the most elementary ways of encouraging the writers of this wonderful faction to get "chummy" in real time. It's also an excellent way for us to bounce ideas off of one another and discuss matters pertaining to the faction in a manner that's easily/quickly accessible. Now, there are the obvious flaws of a Skype Chat, so (in the hypothetical universe where this post carried any weight) this is how I would do it:

At the very start, make a post in the forum detailing the rules of the Skype Chat. State clearly the rating (PG-13, NC-17, whatever) of content that is allowed to be posted in the Chat alongside conduct expectations. Then, appoint one lucky bugger (I volunteer as tribute) to keep an eye on the chat and be the unholy boot when necessary. Lastly, have a global understanding that no decisions are to be made in the chat. Yes, discussions can be had, but anything that would involve an actual, faction-wide decision would always get its own thread in the discussion forum. (This way, those without skype can have give their input, etc.)

Now then, onto the topic of Religion.

As the reception of the Seekers has been overwhelmingly positive, I plan on pushing forward with the concept immediately. Tonight there will be a sign up and roster posted and I hope that I have enough time (between wrecking face in Iron Banner and spending time with the fiancee <3) to get something IC going. That said...

[member="Zambrano the Hutt"] | [member="Anja Aj'Rou"]

Personally, I think that we should keep the Bleeding Sun/Military as its own distinct entity. We don't want to go the way of the Republic and have the foundation of the faction rely upon the Force Sect. As such, I think we should look into streamlining the Bleeding Sun; as simplicity and elegance result in easy recruitment hands down.

Also, had a thought for the Bannermen. Instead of being the "grunts" of the military, why not develop them into an iconic, elite unit? I had the notion that our Masters could work some magic and create a legion of the same caliber as Savage Oppress. Then, we can encourage the player base to create new PCs to become apart of the Bannermen and utterly wreck all the face IC. These could be our Stormtroopers/OOM Droids/Iconic Folks.

[member="Braith"]

If you take a gander at the Seekers of the Rift concept, there is a gathering of Elders/Masters known as the Conclave. I'm assuming that, given the feedback I received from our beloved leader, that we'll be moving forward with this concept in an official capacity so that would fulfill what you're looking for.

With that said, I better get back to work before the big man comes back into the office. >.>
