Let's Try Again [Dragon School]

"Then it'd be best we split up and meet here once we've cleared out as many as we can" Josh would respond, deciding to go with Anora's plan. "If we split up, we can cover more ground in a shorter time. I'm sure you don't need me for a stealth operation, right?" Josh would inquire. This would be up to Anora here. If she didn't feel she was ready to take on this part alone, then they would not pursue it and they would think of another way to move forward with this. But he was trying to encourage her as well to begin acting more and more independently.

"Let's be quick, then. If we tarry, they may ship the slaves out and we'll lose them."

Split up. Those were words she had dreaded, and so of course he had suggested such a thing. Anora took a deep, steadying breath, and then she nodded her head. "Alright." she spoke quietly. A stealthy approach would be easier if they were split up, and even though she didn't like it, it would also be much faster. "Lets get this over with then." she sighed out. They had slaves to save and slavers to get out of their way. Standing around making plans wasn't going to get the job done.

Well, giving her independence was part of the job after all. He'd taught her much, hopefully she could handle some stealth on her own. And if she ended up not being ready then he'd take charge and dispatch the grunts on his own and carry out the rest of the mission himself. No big deal. Nothing he hadn't done before and probably not anything he wouldn't do again. So with that, he casually waved to Anora before he would vanish - instantly just vanish.

With that, under the effects of the White Current, Josh would begin making his way through the outside of the hideout. His goal first would be to clear a path for them to get inside, get the slaves and get out. Navigating through until he would come to a wall with a guard coming around from the other side. Knowing he couldn't fight while under the Current without wasting a ton of energy, Josh would wait for the last moment and then catch them by surprise by dropping out of the Current and slamming his elbow into the side of their skull, knocking them down flat. Quickly hiding them, he would look around to ensure he hadn't been seen.

And with that, he disappeared again.

It was always unsettling to watch the Master quite literally disappear. To go from seeing him plain as day, to only being able to sense him - if she stopped to sense him, it was a little disorienting, and it really did make Anora feel as if she were completely alone. She wasn't of course, she knew that, but it didn't make her feel any less unguarded.

Despite that fact, Anora took a deep, settling breath, and then she too moved. She had gone the opposite way to make sure their path stayed clear, and when she came across her first guard - which had taken her a minute, surprisingly - she reached up, wrapped an arm around his neck and pressed with her other hand against the neck/shoulder pressure point until the guy lost consciousness. Anora then looked around as she lowered the heavier body down, and then she tugged and struggled until she got him moved out of sight.

From there she took a moment to breathe, and then she was on the move again, watching for the next guard.

Sense? Oh no, that only lasted a few seconds. Within a few, Josh's presence had disappeared completely, as though he hadn't been there at all. Not that the White Current was the epitome of a Force silver bullet. It had it's weaknesses. But being able to be sensed was not one of them. Once he had disappeared from her presence, Josh would get to work as the Jedi would storm the outside of the base. Hiding behind a corner, Josh would wait for one to pass him before re-appearing. Anora would suddenly be able to sense him again as he would land a rapping blow to the back of the neck, knocking them cold. Using telekinesis to move the unconscious form out of sight, Josh would quickly disappear again from sight and from force presence.

Within a few more minutes, the base's outskirts had been very much thinned out by the Master and Padawan, and before long Josh would re-appear behind Anora and place a hand on her shoulder, a small, mischievous smile crossing his lips as he clearly intended to scare her.

A few seconds had been all Anora had paid much attention to, and then she had been on the move and concentrating on her own thing. While the master Jedi was moving about, dispatching guards as he came across them, Anora hadn't run into quite as many. She did take care of the ones she came up behind, and she did well to hide the bodies to the best of her ability with what she had available.

When she came to a stop and waited on her master, she observed for a time, but found no other bodies wandering about. She was on guard, so when Josh appeared behind her and placed a hand against her, Anora gasped loudly and turned swinging.

Anora would turn and swing, but the hand would go right through him. Josh had activated a trick that he'd been working on for some time now, which allowed him to phase through objects. Of course, he was still in the infant stage of learning and could only hold it for about a second at best, if even. It was his own reflexes and sense of timing that had allowed him to do this. It had been his way of practicing, using it in short bursts on missions, and letting it become a reflex as if it were part of his own body. So far, it was so far so good. But he needed to learn to hold it longer...

He didn't move at all, just casually stared at her, blinking a few times in turn.

"Well, let's get going" He spoke. "How do you propose we enter the base, now that the outside guards are down?" He would inquire. "I can see the entrance over there, leading underground... But odds are we'll find reinforcements. Splitting up isn't going to be a solid option here. We'll never find each other as easily if something goes wrong as we could out here."

[member="Anora Vahn"]

Anora had stared for a time, clearly both confused and fascinated by the way her hand had merely gone right through him. But she pulled her focus forward, made herself concentrate. She could ask questions about that later. Right now, the pair of them had a job to finish, and finish it quickly.

When Josh asked about the base, she half turned so that she could see the entrance as well. Her lips pursed and her teeth bit down on the insides of her cheeks. "I don't know this time," she answered him honestly. "We don't know what the inside looks like, if it's tight corridors, or if there's space to fight if it comes to it." she frowned a little. "Or hell, if there's things to hide behind and sneak around."

A sigh parted her lips, "We may just have to charge in and take them all out..." she was only half joking about it too.

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

While he knew that she was joking, the idea of a frontal assault was indeed an interesting one. “Well, if we made enough of a ruckus, odds are they would send a bigger bulk of their forces after us, and then the slaves would be less guarded.”

It was here that he acknowledged that they could have used the help of the Rangers. Perhaps he would have to consider this possibility on another day...

“The problem is that you are without a proper lightsaber and training. But... Your stealthing appears to be decent.”

He mulled it over a moment.

“What are the odds you can sneak past them while I’m setting up a diversion, get to the slaves and handle any remaining guards on your own until I get there? Obviously it’s a more dangerous route, but I’ve taught you to use that vibroblade for a reason. Feel free to say no, of course, we can think up a new plan.”

[member="Anora Vahn"]

Making a ruckus? Well hell, Anora was good at that. She shifted from one foot to the other, and worried her bottom lip between her teeth as she seemed to consider the options they had. Of course he brought up the fact that she didn't have a lightsaber, and the fact caused Anora to sigh. She had missed a lot of time in training due to getting injured, and it irritate her a little more every day - especially in situations where she could really use the damn thing.

"I could do it." she stated in reply, trying to focus on the conversation rather than the irritation she felt at herself. Anora was definitely stealthy, she was agile and limber, and it definitely worked to her advantage. "But you said splitting up was a bad idea." However, if he was confident enough that they could do this? Hey, she was all for it.

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

"You're right. Splitting up is a bad idea. But I think so long as you don't go too far..."

He would hold out a hand and the training lightsaber he'd been having her carry (Without being used on missions seeing as it wasn't practical, he just wanted her to get used to having it and knowing where it was to hone her instincts) would float upwards and into his hand. Pulling out a pin, he would begin fiddling with the back of it before he seemed satisfied with the result as he would close the hatch. He then handed it back to her.

"I've overrode the training lock on your training saber. If you get into any serious trouble, it will now function as a real lightsaber. Only use it in an absolute emergency. Use the vibroblade otherwise. I'll fix the lock later, but for now, this is probably our best bet to ensuring you're capable of defending yourself on your own if need be."

Having the training saber leave her side caused Anora to shift and watch it move to his hand. Her brow creased as he fiddled with it, and when it was given back to her, the girl looked genuinely surprised. "I understand," she assured him. Only use the saber in a sire situation, otherwise? Leave it be. Easy enough directions to follow.

So the had-been training saber was placed right back where she had, had it though her hand hovered over it briefly before she drew her hand away completely. Honestly she wasn't entirely sure how she felt about the possibility of needing a fully functioning lightsaber, but she didn't question it either. They were already in this deep, and it was time to finish the job and get the hell out of here.

Josh knew that finding herself in a situation where it was necessary was likely when she had this level of experience being by herself in a slave facility. But he didn't underestimate Anora either. He knew she was capable, and he was sure that she would do alright. He would know if she got in trouble nonetheless. The Force always knew. So with that, he would smile and nod his head. "I'll get to it then" He spoke up as he would walk past her, motioning toward the entrance nearby. "I'd get into a position where you won't be seen when they come out. And keep moving from spot to spot as odds are, with the commotion I'm about to make... There'll be a fair few people in your path. At least, until they're all outside."

With that, Josh would wait for Anora to get into an advantageous position, before he would create a fireball in his hand, beginning to charge up power as it would grow bigger and bigger. Looking around, he would notice a fuel tank that would be perfect for the start of his diversion. Ensuring it wasn't too close to anyone, he would launch the fireball and let the fireworks begin...

Anora took a deep, slow breath as she watch her Master walk away. Her fingers curled into tight fists, relaxed just the same, and then she exhaled the breath she had been holding before she turned away and made her way carefully inside. They had done a pretty good job of clearing a path to this point, but hopefully whatever distraction he was creating would lure the rest of them out.

Truth be told, there weren't very many places for the brunette to slip into and hide. A few spaces here and there, but they would only keep her covered if the slavers just ran past without bothering to check their surroundings - which was entirely possible.

The explosion that took place started her, and Anora had to duck down quickly to make sure she was completely out of view. Sure enough, it wasn't minutes later before bodies were rushing past her, all hell bent on finding out what had just happened. And once they were past her and none had been the wiser? Anora slipped from her hiding place and made her way further inside.

So far so good, but she knew her luck would only hold out for so long.

A deep grin would furl across the Jedi's face as the explosion would catch the attention of many. As the forces would flood from the fortress, Josh would take a deep breath before he would let out a whistle. From above came a loud roar as a mighty beast would erupt from the Final Dragon floating nearby. Jongori had been dispatched to aid Josh, something he had been planning as a backup measure just in case. The slavers who had come out would lower their weapons in shock and awe as the beast would land, and Josh would quickly climb into the saddle.

"Alright Jongori, let's make some noise!"

Alarms had begun to blare throughout the facility, and Anora would find the halls sparsely populated the more that she went forward. Though she would be forced to hide here and there, as more and more guards were dispatched to go outside as the sound of roaring and something exploding would soon sound. She would sooner or later find her way to a large room, with a good 16 people guarding over a large group of slaves. Some were chained, some were in cages and others were being forced to help with fixing the equipment. If she listened in, she might hear them speaking.

"What in the world's going on out there?"

"Apparently someone's trying to get in - and he brought some kind of monster with him!"

"A monster? What kind?"

"Some sorta winged, fire-breathing beast."

"A karking dragon? Are you 'kriffin kidding me?"
