[Argos of the East]

Argos didn't take her tone well - and instead waited a few moments, watching her closely. He fiddled with a card, spun it between his fingers, then pushed his glasses up before tossing a card towards her.​

The Ten of Hearts. With 22, her first hand worth 500 busts. He took the credits with him.​

The second card he threw for her second was the Three of Hearts. Total of 9, her second hand was still good.​

​

"One hand's gone - better consider your luck.", he said with a smile.​

She handed the credits over without showing disappointment, nodding as Argos of the East indicated her second hand.

"One more." Was all she said, eyeing the man with a sparkle in her violet eyes.

When she hit, Argos handed her the card with a slight flourish. What landed on her other cards was the King of Clubs; and he beamed.​

"19, love."​

Simple, settled. It was a good number.​

Maybe her luck was finally turning around. With a small laugh (a release of tension), Ivory waved an open palm in front of her - the universal signal to "Stay".

Under the table, she couldn't help but cross the fingers of her other hand. The small gesture, however superstitious, was a natural reaction on her part.

"Let's see which of us is luckier." She said, grinning at Argos of the East.

"If I can help it - It's always me.", he said with a upturn of the corner of his lips.​

His silver hand deftly used one card to flip the other - showing his hand as Ace of Diamonds and the Ace of Spades. A hard 12, and something he had to hit on, as his own rules decreed. He hoped in his head that the next was a nine - as any sane person would, but there was that child like holdout of manifestation trying to work its magic. A flip of the next card and -​

Queen of Hearts. He swore under his breath, something about cards and childrens dreams.​

He grabbed some creds and tossed them her way before finishing his drink.​
