Private Leviathan Sized Problems

He watched. As best he could. His main focus was feeding her what energy he could to help her. He couldn't really move on his own yet, but he could certainly provide some assistance. Kahlil smiled just a little as the last of the Drengir ignited in flame. All was quiet. Well, save for Valery gasping for breath. He stood, shakily, and walked over towards her with an ever kind smile. Nodded once.

"Let's.. Go see Vera, yeah?"

With the Drengir gone, Valery sat on her knees and tried to catch her breath while Kahlil likely did the same. It had been a while since she felt this exhausted after a mission, but it also wasn't exactly normal to go up against a Leviathan and a bunch of Drengir. If it hadn't been for Kahlil and their bond, this would have never been possible.

"Yeah... I'll set the ship to auto-pilot and we just..." she paused and pushed herself up to her feet so she could lean against him, and so he could lean against her. "We just lay down for a bit together and snuggle?" She flashed a smirk and wrapped an around his waist.

"The trip back to Coruscant will take a while, so plenty of time to get some rest."

The ramp of the Bastion lowered on approach and together with him, she stepped on board and first headed to the cockpit to get them on their way. A quick process with how easily this ship was managed. "You know... I was thinking," Valery started while she began to walk towards the bedroom with him.

"We could head back to Spira for our anniversary? You know, the beach planet we went to before..." Before he fell to confront his father, but it was also the reason they now had Vera. "Relax, play some games at the beach, go out for dinner and just do whatever we want at a special place. It's where we discussed living together and starting a family once."

Sit and snuggle on the way back to Coruscant?

"This really kinda was a date, huh?"

He leaned pretty heavily against her at first, though as they walked he started to do less of the leaning and more of the helping her stay up. Both were exhausted. Her probably more than him, all things considered. When they finally made it to bed he just picked her up and plopped down on it, closed his eyes. Relaxed, while they still could.

"Spira.. Yeah. I'd like that. Being back at the beach with you. This time to celebrate us never leaving each other again, yeah?"

"Yeah but usually we end up exhausted for other reasons on our dates." Valery shot him a wide grin and jokingly jabbed his side with two of her fingers. Right now, they looked like quite the pair, walking through the ship like they had run a marathon. But all things considered, they had handled the threat pretty quickly. It was necessary because of how Drengir were able to heal themselves, but it did make their current state reasonable.

Once the ship was up and going soon after, Valery and Kahlil reached the bedroom... where he was quick to lift her up and plop down onto the bed with her. Slowly, she began to kick off her boots, helped him take off his, and crawled up against him to look for his warm embrace.

They could finally relax. Together.

"Mhmm~" Valery hummed, as her hand gently traced over his chest. "To celebrate how far we've come together, to cherish our family as we plan its growth, and to make sure we'll never grow apart again..." her voice trailed off as she searched for a gentle, loving kiss. Passionate still in how she wanted to convey her feelings, but gentle.

She was too exhausted for more, and all she wanted was to fall asleep in his arms.
