Lightside Alchemy?

[member="Vassara Raxis"]

If Krest wasn't Sith now, he would of helped make some of the items. But with him being Sith, well. It wouldn't be good for him to assist, unless you were up for one of the items having a darkside presence to corrupt yeh.

That is because Sith alchemy may be used to create items without a dark side presence. @Disserro and @Solaiel Davin Talith have both created items using Sith alchemy without a dark side nexus, it is possible but it is not entirely easy. It is, however, still Sith alchemy.

That sword I linked had no Sith Alchemy touch it. It was made purely by Force Imbuing and Art of the Small changing.

I helped make the blade after all.

I can't start today, got work in a bit. But otherwise, this sounds like it'll be a lot of fun.

Q: What about lightning? A: An average-to-good Sith sword, made by an experienced alchemist, can trap lightning for release on later contact. A Force-imbued blade cannot, though it can probably block lightning like a lightsabre, sufficient focus, not when faced with more powerful lightning than you could normally handle.

You're not making any sense.

The blade I linked is an Art of the Small blade that can absorb lightning just like a Sith Sword, and was approved as such.

Thus I am really lost as to what it is you are trying to say.

[member="Vassara Raxis"]

True, but this was a blade I helped make, be it IC or out.

So what [member="Silara"] is saying is that the blade, approved as it was, shouldn't of been.

Or something like that.

What I am saying is that someone who utilizes a force imbued blade will be unable to do such. Art of the small is capable of doing so because it alters the molecular structure of the blade itself. In the short term, [member="Vassara Raxis"] will be unable to do as mentioned above unless someone else is to create such a blade for her.

Art of the small cannot grant some of the abilities of sith alchemy, however, such as absorbing force energy and such.

In theory they have the same concept.

Again, art of the small cannot replicate the abilities of Sith alchemy as well as people would like to lead you to believe - there are certain things which simply cannot be replicated.

Hmm, well, Light Alchemy, as [member="Veino Garn"] mentioned, is certainly possible.

However, you need to change your perceptions and goals with it. As it uses the Light rather than the Dark, you are not creating horrors or instruments of destruction. Rather you are aiding, strengthening and empowering yourself and others.

I have just started down the path of Alkahest, and my skills will grow as time continues, so I'm not sure what I can do ultimately. The Sith have had 20,000 years to develop their arts, I've had less than 10.
