Lilla knew little of...

“I am fascinated by the concept of alternate dimensions, but less so the practical application. In as much as, there is no doubt a risk of a one-way ticket, so to speak. Some might relish the adventure of heading somewhere totally new, not worrying if they might not be able to return. I, for one, see too much to do in this galaxy, in this dimension, to undertake such a risk. But I suspect the technology might have wider reaching applications than just personal travel. Although, the more I think of it, the more I sense there would be benefits – the potential to find cures for diseases, to discover new species, new ways of interacting with the Force. I can understand why the lure might be tempting to so many. Even I have shifted from a firm no, to a potential maybe in a few minutes.”

Matsu gave her a nod of her head while she was going over the diferent things and presenting herself with options to take back. "There is so much to do in the universe Illa one could spend a lifetime or several. I know I have no plans to give it up even though times are always changing. Now lets see what we can hau back with us so we can start for the real adventure. THe hellhoop waits for no one and there is oh so much there that hasn't been explored, mysteries and dangerous things." The jedi master had everything set up where they could go and the ship would be prepared for them before she was checking it out.

Lilla could easily have spent the rest of her life searching and cataloguing items on this planet – but that was what researchers were trained to do, whilst her skill-set was wider…different. If there was peace throughout the galaxy, she would gladly turn her hand to the sort of duties Jedi of old were able to spend their hours doing. Researching, studying, reflecting.

She nodded at Master Ike’s words and quickly scanned the hierarchy of the vault’s contents, in case anything obvious presented itself. Deciding she had enough to be going on with in researching the haul of sabers, she smiled. “There is nothing specific I need to take, so I’m more than happy for your researchers to decide what’s relevant and what isn’t – and return whatever they can to the rightful owners. So, I’m ready to progress when you are.”

THe jedi master gave a nod and was leading the way through back to the landing area. Ships were being loaded with things they had discovered that were larger or things thatmight not have any real history. gemstones, silverware, crystals could be sorted if they were plain. A large case of diamonds didn't have much history usually but it was something that could be used for lightsabers assuming they were just basic diamonds maybe. A few other things like older model droids that had been on display and were valuable but non functioning well they could be researched or archived for history. Matsu herself went into one of the runabout shuttles that were going up as the massive library came into view. Monolithic in its shape as its hanger doors opened to reveal the interior of a jedi station. Able to move around the galac=xy and radiating the lightside of the force itself. She stood there seeing some of the other researchers milled about.

Lilla followed Master Ike. It was amazing how many had arrived so quickly since their warning was sent. Everywhere were researchers and manual staff, boxing, cataloguing and moving things. All crates were clearly labelled and items were transferred into identical containers for ease of storage. Lilla presumed droids would be able to facilitate a quicker review of the contents, with people used to review the more interesting or unusual finds. To Lilla, this was less of a warehouse and more of a museum, seeing droids she’d only ever witnessed in ancient documents.

She shook her head softly as the massive library came into view. She was amazed at how organised, thorough and well-equipped the Silver Jedi were. The Republic Remnant had few artefacts, even fewer dedicated buildings and virtually zero facilities like these. She’d taught Padawans from the hull of a crashed ship and could only wonder what a Silver Jedi temple might look like.

THe jedi master was looking at her and raised an eyebrow at what seemed to be the amazement and she had to think about it... most jedi groups in the galaxy. Rarely put emphasis on history and archives. They simply had it exist and rarely cared for it. This might have seemed one of the largest so she would have to do something and show it off maybe... a point of pride while walking and the hall ways were lined with different pieces, recovered equipmet, artifacts, statues and murals of the jedi like the ones they had discovered. She stopped looking over one of the view ports at a biodome, waters rushing around, islands and different creatures to give an idea but. "ONe of the chambers, we have variable environmental and weather effects to test materials for restoration of different temples. Something to try and weatherproof or improve how it will last on different planets."

Lilla was truly amazed – and impressed with equal measures. Not with the cost or grandeur of the facilities – or even the size per se. But rather what was on offer to the Jedi that came here. Researchers could spend a lifetime and not scratch the surface of the available information. Younglings and Padawans could study with confidence that they were getting up to date and complete training. Jedi scientists could use the facilities to test untold theories, models and hypotheses.

And that didn’t count those that simply might want to browse. Those that had a sense of history and wanted to learn about the past – but also those that were keen to understand the mistakes of the past and ensure they were not replicated.

She nodded as Master Ike spoke, taking in every ounce of information. “Tell me, what is the Silver Jedi’s view on dark-sided artefacts?” She asked as some immediately destroyed whatever they came across, whereas others examined them, looking to learn about their foes in this manner.

"It depends on the artifact." She was looking at her and moved into one of the rooms that were set up like the room of a thousand fountains. Tranquil with a look on her face. "There are artifacts that are created with intention, that were made with the darkside to corrupt and have a purpose. These we seek to destroy or contain within the black vaults as quickly as possible.. Others though." She said it and brought up a screen. "THere are things created because the darkside is present over time. animal's become twisted, flora dangerous, or artifacts hold the lingering corruption. These we are careful with but try to see if they can be reversed or understood."

Lilla nodded as she showed her approval at the Silver Jedi’s pragmatic approach to dark-sided artefacts. Destroying for the sake of it was an old Jedi Shadow role, and did not allow for any learning to take place. Lilla even studied the training techniques of the Sith. Most practices were barbaric, but a few she understood and modified for her own Padawans. Like training when tired, or hungry, or even hurt. The battle-ground was never perfect. An opponent never waited for you to catch your breath, or enjoy a meal before engaging. So, from time to time, she would hold a practical lesson in the early hours of the morning – or spar after a long day without any food.

But her thoughts were immediately switched to her surroundings. She recognised this place – or at least what it was based upon. The winding paths, the exotic foliage from across the galaxy, the little bridges that crossed streams. It was a place that encouraged meditation and reflection. Fountains could be heard. “It’s beautiful,” she said. “And so serene – I am truly impressed. Is it a recreation of the site on Coruscant or merely inspired by it?”

"A mixture of both, recreating it was the first notion then we improved upon it a little and added some more, widened the paths so a few more could move around." There was the smile on her face though before she moved and stood within it. The area above them swirling before she spoke. "Above though it tsil crystals. We recovered a number of them and they were thankful for something new, able to communicate with those trained to listen through the force you wouldn't and couldn't imagine all of the ideas they have to calm the mind or just llisten to the force." THe jedi master sat down though and stripping off the outer robes was in a tunic and her pants. Sitting there while her hair was out, tattoo's along her arms and withdrew from a small alcove tea that was brewing.... "We also made small sections for tea and refreshments like water and caf for some jedi if they want it."

Lilla listened. She’d been to Coruscant often, but wondered what it must have been like to be a Jedi back in the day. Back when they served the Republic for generations and had a single place called home. Life was a lot simpler back then, she was sure of that much. Not necessarily better – just different.

She smiled when she saw the more modern nods to relaxation that had been built in to the design – things you won’t know were there unless you looked for them. “Green tea ahead of a meditation sounds most refreshing,” she said. She drank water mostly and caf when on planets where ‘something to go’ was all that was on offer.

And she took a seat, gazing into the foliage, knowing she was in a very large room, but to all intents and purposes feeling as though she were in some secluded garden, or glade in a forest.

Matsu bowed her head. "Normally such times like this with a jedi I would work on teaching. Mostly trying to get them to study the world around them, to see and feel it. We have needs of connection but we have spoken of this at length so no matter." She did relax though with her tea until she was looking around to check it. The small padawans coming around. One of them moving forward as the blond haired toddler with large eyes ran over wrapping arms around her. "Kalia." The jedi master said it seeing the daughter of Hanna and kissed the girl on the forehead before tapping her nose. "Have you been learning your lessons well with your sister?"

THere was a small look from her at the pink haired jedi standing there. Hands on her hips but the jedi master offered a larger smile. "Loriath you look wonderful." The girl spoke as Kalia nodded. "Yes yes yes we are learning lots." Matsu smiled though and turned her head to Lilla as she spoke. "My daughters, Loriath is from Ossus after the sith pulled out her parents were killed and so she has been here with me and Kalia is the daughter of my wife from Hapes." THere was a look on her face though while she let the two of them go and she offered one fo the cups breathing in the scent of the room around them with the sounds of the fountains.

Lilla smiled as the Padawans and no doubt Younglings milled around the room. They seemed relaxed and that was, to Lilla, more than half of the role of an academy – to provide a place of learning that was enjoyable. Because, in her opinion, that made learning all the more accessible.

And she was equally impressed that the little ones were not in awe of the Jedi Master – which was similarly a good sign that they felt comfortable and not restricted in their behaviour and no doubt feedback.

Lilla smiled when she realised there was more to it – and that these were not random Padawans – but related to Master Ike. “I’m sure they are already a credit to you,” she said.

Matsu looked at the two of them and shooed them away and off as she turned back to look at the jedi. "THey are, avid learners and open to the ideas of the jedi but hiave been shaped by some of their own experiences.... as much as a small five year old can be or a teenager who doesn't remember much of her family before the jedi." THe jedi master though sat there as they left and she turned her attention to Lilla as she could feel the ship jump to hyperspace to go to its next location. The view within the room changing to reflect and refract the streaming tunnel of light and hyperspace. It was made to go through the afterglow panels which were along the ship and cast everything in a soft light giving it an ethereal look around them. Octagonal panels of glass that were crystasteel and actual crystal they had cut.

Lilla smiled as Master Ike explained about the young ones. The young Jedi had no expectations of ever having a family – and had no siblings or parents that she knew of, so could never fully understand what it meant to have those sort of attachments – which her Master had always said was a drawback.

She then felt as much as sensed them jumping into hyperspace and the view within the room also changed and Lilla returned her gaze to the Silver Jedi.

“So, where are we off to now?” she asked.

SHe looked at her. "Into the hellhoop, a region of space that is mostly unknown, the maps and charts at the citadel gave some indication of what we might be able to find but the deeper mysteries of it are sort of out there." She said it and was recalling it for herself, if they went deeper who knew what they mgiht be able to find. The rift led to the monolith and bubble of the lost. THe bubble led to several mysteries and more questions about all of it. She wanted to see it and if there was more monoliths in the galaxy there were a handful of places he could suspect they were, or information about what they had found, about what they had discovered in the citadel itself. "It is still one of the largely unexplored regions of the galaxy next to Farlax and parts of the unknown region."

Lilla was aware of, as opposed to fully conversant with, the Expansion Region, also known as the Expansion Rim. She knew it was located between the Inner Rim and the Mid Rim. And she had also heard of the Hellhoop – a mysterious area of space in the Expansion Region, near the planet Attahox.

It was largely avoided due to an asteroid belt that ringed it. “I’ve spent a bit of time exploring lesser well known areas of space – but never with strong intelligence, like with have now. My missions were more about a general investigation, typically linked to disappearances, or pirate activity. Do we have a specific lead we’re focusing on first?”

"No but there is some to it from seeder ships we sent in. They are self automated and work to establish advanced colonies that can be met with some of the other ships we have created." Matsu said it while she was bringing it up and scans, information flowed across the small screen. "We have no settlements mostly, with people but there are storehouses, automated droids and warehouses that basically gather resupply points or work to establish communications and relay if there are sentient species on the planet that information to us. The ilver jedi have always looked to the stars now we get to have a little time to explore them."

Lilla listened. The technology and funding available to the Silver Jedi dwarfed what she was used to. Her own ship looked like an old freighter, but under the bonnet it was as good as the Remnant had. But she suspected the Silvers had ships and know-how that would outstrip hers significantly.

The idea of being a pioneer was an endearing one. At least to Lilla it was. The closest she ever came to a regret was the fact that she had but a single life-span. Her Master had encouraged her to spend time in each traditional Jedi discipline. The problem was that she enjoyed so many of them. Consular, Sentinel, Ranger, Librarian, Researcher, Teacher, Lore Keeper… The list was endless.

“OK,” she replied. “Options are rarely a bad thing, and I’m open to wherever our journey takes us – for new experiences are even less likely to be a bad thing. Even the less positive ones still teach us things about the galaxy – and ourselves, of course.”

She gave her a nod of her head as she held a hand. "Well rest up, relax and prepare yourself. We have more then enough time and this station works in a way to move around. Explore it, come and see my lab. We have always been working on new things that can be used to improve the jedi. From robes, materials, food stuffs, rebreathers, utility belts and equipment packs. WOrking to keep it at a minimalistic approach but also to give the jedi essentially everything that they would need when out and about in the field." She knew a few of the things that they had worked on, the shoulder bag for equipment, newer and more helpful foodstuffs tha could be used to feed a squad for a month but was compressed enough to be pocket sized just break away.
