She gave him a nod of her head and while looking at them started to imagine where to set them and have them show on the model that she was working on. "THat can be done, this won't be a station but it can function to test theories and ideas for it. If we wanted to have for the hanger the gravity lattice to store more or the storage pocket dimensions." She said it while looking at more of the materials they were presenting... Burtch had a number of things and they would be able to use and see them all and how they might function. "It is a small thing we have used to rapidly advance and test in a safer location... just be careful what you think about.... hard to explain why we might be getting chased by a nude giant sized jedi administrator.... who is saying your check outs are late."

Rex couldn't have been more pleased to see Dorthea kicked out of the meeting. It was revenge for her having kicked him out of Damascus Station. Of course her leaving today would hardly have the same effect as Rex's incident had. Indeed no new nation would gain independence from The Imperium for it. But it felt like it. Rex knew he shouldn't seek revenge, it could only lead to problems as it had with Var-Sulis and The Dobsons. But who wouldn't feel good after seeing a rival get humiliated?

The feeling lingered for a moment and then faded as Grand Admiral Burtch and Matsu Ike discussed defenses for the trade route. Burtch was quick to suggest an upgrade to the proposal in typical Chiss fashion.
Good Job. Rex didn't particularly care how much spending went into this trade route. First off The Imperium was in a great situation economically and could easily afford to invest. Secondly the income from trade would, in theory, balance out and eventually overtake any expenses.

Rex decided to let Burtch and Matsu continue their conversation without offering his own input. He had no real input to give, and he didn't want to interrupt without reason and he wasn't a narcissist that needed to hear his own voice every minute.

Burtch blinked for a moment before the image of his Flag Captain, Captain Treyfa appeared outside the viewport behind them, except she had a blaster bolt cavity in her forehead… Burtch turned to look at the image behind them and his face blushed a deeper shade of blue, despite how much pleasure the thought brought him. He decided to keep Matsu Ike Matsu Ike focused on the strange construct in front of them, “Ah that’s great, anyways let’s see what else we can add…” he focused again, and an image of a specialty engine appeared before them.

“My protocol droid here can give you the technical details on this item, but essentially, it is an engine that sacrifices speed for raw power. Since this is a monitoring station, it won’t have much need for speed, but since large cargo vessels will be docking with it often, a powerful engine can help it move all that tonnage.”

She had a look on her face and nodded looking at more of it while thinking it. "A powerful engine can be done, We have developed tractor and pressor technologies using magnite crystals letting smaller vessels handle ships several times their size and weight. There is the hyperdrive which can be activated from stationary to move it... not always the best but in a pinch and we have gravity shielding for wells and distortions that might be encountered. Our advanced shielding is designed to allow our vessels to stay over the surface of a sun." Which wasn't terrible in some cases as they had solor collection technologies and energy harvesting so it could be used correctly.

Burtch was pleased by the assortment of technologies that Matsu Ike Matsu Ike was suggesting. The Concord was certainly known for their advanced technologies, and could bring much to these designs. Burtch especially liked the idea of being able to jump these stations within a gravity well, as interdiction fields were common in ambushes on trade routes.

“I think that a gravity well generator would make a fine addition as well. Our home, Damascus Station makes use of ten of these as a means of keeping assailants from simply jumping into point blank range, much in the same way a planet’s natural mass keeps hyperspace ambushes at an arm’s length”

Burtch nervously looked over his shoulder to see if the image of Captain Treyfa and the giant hole in her head was still there. Frowning, he wondered how in the maw he could make the image go away before Matsu Ike Matsu Ike noticed it…

"It goes away when you don't think about it, here thoughts have power and they form... it is where I send my padawans to learn to control their thoughts and fears." She said it and remained where she was checking out the station. THey might be able to do some gravity wells if they adjusted. "Her hands were working deftly to shape the station. "We also have Saotome Snare Battery which can do much of the function... additionally the Ur-Didact and Somin MK.II Variant work well with our Hudson Class Autoturret. Variable firing modes and types, sophisticated tactical capabilities and being able to saturate an area in tractor beams that can throw fighters off course into each other or stop them whole is invaluable."
