DESCRIPTION
The LO-58A Tactical Infantry Armor was developed by the Lilaste Order as the next evolution of their standard-issue combat gear, replacing the LO-48B with a stronger, smarter, and more resilient battlefield solution. Drawing upon the lessons of past engagements and incorporating advanced materials acquired through the Order's expanding reach, the LO-58A was designed to meet the growing demands of modern warfare—without compromising agility or modularity.
This armor features a dual-layer construction composed of Kov'dra and Fyrirdögun, two rare and powerful metals sourced through specialized operations and interstellar trade. and manufactured within Lilaste Order facilities at Aurora Station, allowing for precise quality control and tailored battlefield application.
Kov'dra forms the inner structure of the armor, providing exceptional resistance to kinetic impacts, lightsaber strikes, and Force-based manipulation. This makes the LO-58A especially suited to confront Force-sensitive opponents, nullifying many of the subtle advantages Jedi or Sith might bring to the battlefield. Fyrirdögun, comprising the outer shell, grants the armor remarkable energy resistance and lightweight durability, alongside the unique ability to gradually regenerate minor surface damage between combat phases.
The suit is fully sealed and equipped with an integrated LO-ADS system, allowing troopers to survive high-altitude insertions, orbital drops, or emergency evacuations with ease. It also features a dedicated mount for the LO-VX "Va'karis" Adaptive Shield System, allowing for dynamic personal shielding during heavy firefights. A robust HUD suite offers real-time targeting data, threat recognition, environmental readouts, and IFF tagging, while modular hardpoints support mission-specific loadouts ranging from reconnaissance sensors to jetpacks and ammo packs.
Despite its exceptional capabilities, the LO-58A is not without limitations. Its regenerative qualities are not fast enough to be useful mid-combat, and its joint flexibility creates minor vulnerabilities against precision strikes. Additionally, it offers limited protection against radiation, corrosive substances, and sonic-based weaponry.
Nevertheless, the LO-58A represents a significant leap forward in frontline survivability, strategic versatility, and technological integration. Now the new standard across Lilaste Order ground forces, the armor ensures every soldier is equipped to handle the most unpredictable battlefields the galaxy can offer—whether on the ground, in the sky, or deep within hostile environments.
SPECIAL FEATURES
- LO-ADS Integration: Standard high-altitude deployment system with kinetic dampeners, repulsorlift stabilization, and emergency fall override.
- LO-Va'karis Shield Port: Built-in port for attaching the Va'karis Adaptive Shield System for dynamic energy shielding. the SHield plugs into the gauntlent allowing full body coverage or a Physical exxternal shield mode
- Heads-Up Display (HUD):Displays armor integrity, weapon aiming assistance, and predictive targeting.
- Supports IFF tagging (Friend-or-Foe recognition) for better situational awareness.
- Night vision, thermal imaging, and motion tracking.
- Comm-Pack: Long-range encrypted communication system with squad-based tactical uplink.
- Built-in Life Support: Short-duration oxygen supply and filtration system for hazardous environments.
- A.A.S.H MKII. Attachment Port: Adjustable positioning on the left or right shoulder blade.
- Enhanced Armor Seal: Complete environmental sealing for survival in hostile conditions, including space and underwater combat.
- Shoulder and Chest Attachment Ports: Customizable for additional tactical gear, extra reinforcement, or energy shields.
- Helmet Lighting System: Adjustable low-light illumination for dark environments.
- Mag-Lock Boots – Zero-G traversal and silent metallic surface grip
- Modular Tactical Hardpoints – Breaching tools, jetpacks, scanners, medkits, or recon packs
STRENGTHS
- High Energy and Lightsaber Defense: Dual-metal layering provides excellent resistance to plasma weapons and lightsaber strikes.
- Force Disruption Properties: Kov'dra plating provides strong resistance to Force-based manipulation and influence, useful against Jedi/Sith.
- Regenerative Maintenance: Fyrirdögun enables passive regeneration of minor damage between engagements, extending operational lifespan.
- Battlefield-Ready Versatility: Fully modular, adaptable, and LO-ADS/drop-capable for high-risk deployment zones.
- Command Integration: Supports coordination of squads via HUD-linked Command Node.
- Personal Energy Shielding: The dedicated LO-VX "Va'karis" Adaptive Shield System attachment port offers an additional layer of protection, mitigating incoming fire and extending operational survivability.
- Advanced Situational Awareness: Equipped with a high-tech HUD system, featuring real-time targeting assistance, enemy tracking, IFF (Identify Friend or Foe) recognition, and motion detection, increasing combat effectiveness in both ranged and close engagements.
- Modular Adaptability: Multiple attachment ports allow for customization with mission-specific equipment such as jetpacks, sensor arrays, or additional armor plating, making the suit effective across various operational roles.
- Dampened Sensor Signature: The armor's composite materials reduce its profile on basic infrared and motion tracking sensors, making it harder to detect when the wearer is moving cautiously or remaining still.
- Multi-Environment Ready: The armor can function effectively in varied terrains, from urban cityscapes and dense forests to deserts and underground tunnels, without hindering the user's adaptability.
- Ergonomic Design for Rapid Deployment: The LO-58A is easy to don and remove, allowing for quick mission prep, emergency gear swaps, and efficient logistical management for larger forces.
WEAKNESSES
- Low Sonic/Electric Resistance: Vulnerable to sonic detonators and electricity-based attacks.
- Minimal Radiation & Acid Protection: Prolonged exposure to radiation or corrosive environments will degrade armor performance.
- Slow Regeneration Rate: Self-repair functions are passive and ineffective mid-combat.
- Joint Weak Points: Articulation points sacrifice protection for mobility, making them more vulnerable to precision strikes.
- Heavily Dependent on Power Supply: Adaptive shield, LO-ADS, and HUD systems will fail under EMP bombardment if not hardened or supplemented.
- Increased Visibility When Moving: While optimized for stealth, rapid movement—especially during aerial maneuvers—can expose the user to tracking systems and enemy fire, making it harder to remain undetected in active combat zones.
- Structural Weakness at Articulation Points: The armor's joints and connection points—such as the neck, underarms, and behind the knees—are less reinforced to allow for mobility, making them potential weak spots in melee or precision-based attacks.
- Audible Movement on Hard Surfaces: Despite its lightweight design, the armor's material composition can still generate footstep noise on metallic or tiled surfaces, reducing stealth effectiveness in urban or shipboard environments.
