Trace Xyston
Lilaste Elghaseki

SPECIAL FEATURES
- Sabot-Encased Delivery: Each round contains a glass vial of venom encased in a sabot, protecting it from shattering upon firing and ensuring safe delivery to the target.
- Shatter-on-Impact Mechanism: Upon impact, the glass container breaks inside the wound, releasing a fast-acting neurotoxin directly into the bloodstream.
- Neurotoxic Effects: The venom can cause paralysis, loss of motor control, and eventual respiratory failure if not treated promptly.
- Kov'dra Core Construction: Made with Kov'dra, a rare material highly resistant to Force manipulation, making the rounds difficult to deflect or disable using the Force.
STRENGTHS
- Lethal Neurotoxin: A single hit can be enough to incapacitate or kill, thanks to the powerful poison.
- Pierces Cloth Armor: Highly effective against unarmored or lightly armored targets, especially those wearing armorweave or similar materials.
- Force Resistance: The Kov'dra component renders the round exceptionally resistant to telekinetic manipulation and other Force-based interference.
WEAKNESSES
- Delayed Effect: Though potent, the neurotoxin requires time to fully circulate and take effect, giving skilled or prepared targets a small window to counteract or neutralize it.
- Limited Effectiveness Against Heavy Armor: The round has little to no penetrating capability against high-end armors made of phrik, beskar, or other advanced metals.
- Logistical Burden: Due to the weight of Kov'dra, soldiers can only carry a limited number of magazines, reducing sustained fire capacity in the field.
DESCRIPTION
Before the discovery of Kov'dra on Kiev'ara, the Lilaste Order had few options for combating Force users besides brute force and explosives. Kov'dra changed everything. Its extreme resistance to Force manipulation meant Jedi and Sith could no longer casually redirect or nullify incoming rounds. This breakthrough led to the development of the LO-KI/22 standard slug, leveling the playing field.
Building on that success, researchers aboard Aurora Station engineered a more sinister application: the LO-VSR/32 venom sabot round. Designed to do more than just pierce, this round disables and kills. Traditional bullets might wound and allow the enemy to retreat and recover—but these rounds ensure the fight ends with one shot. If the target can't reach immediate medical attention or remove the toxin, death becomes a certainty.
Though not without drawbacks—such as the weight and limits against hardened armor—the LO-VSR/32 rounds represent a grim but effective advancement in biological warfare. Lilaste Order soldiers now carry a weapon that not only wounds, but ensures those wounds are final.
