Public Loneliness Comes To An End?

Phantrx smiled back at Rose. "I can have your ship follow mine through my droids, that way it won't be left behind, you may as well come with me" he explained softly. He then started to walk onboard alongside Rose, and listened to asking him to accompany her to the temple. This shook him a little, but he responded "I'm not sure about sticking around, but we've come this far, so I may as well visit" he replied quietly. He guided her towards the cockpit and they sat down "punch in the coordinates and we will be on our way, what planet is this temple on, anyway?" he asked.

"And... you've reignited a spark in me that has not been there for a very long time"

"it's on Coruscant." she then looked back into his eyes sadly.

"you don't have to stay but i will miss you." rose responded softly her voice almost conveying that she did not want him to leave.

"yeah that's okay thank you." she did as she was told and looked over at him.

"spark?" she asked curiously.

"what ever do you mean?"

Phantrx was hoping she wouldn't say Coruscant, a Jedi temple on Coruscant was the worst place for someone like him to be, but he made a promise and he'd keep it. Especially now that he'd finally started making a bond with someone. "To Coruscant it is, and I will miss you too, but I may have places to be, soon, who knows?" he said.

He wondered if she would question what he meant by spark, and she did. "An old spark of mine, to defend the galaxy from those looking to use people for bad, and all that" he replied to her. "And you've lit that spark again, by recognising some good in me, so thank you for that".

Soon enough, they jumped to hyperspace and were on their way to Corsucant. "What rank are you in the Order?" he asked.

rose gently hugged him. "alright then i hope to see you again."

she let him go slowly looking to the ground.

"i'm glad you have that spark again." she smiled.

"I'm ecstatic I made a difference in your life. however small that little bit of time may have been."

she looked away from him folding her arms, closing her eyes. "i am nothing but a padawan."

she opened one eye looking at him. "i hope to start the ripple that will cause a wave. here to make that difference and looks like i made some somewhere."

she put her hand back on his gently. "I pray to hear good things about you."

"you have helped me as well. I will try to open up to others now to."

Phantrx smiled as Rose said such nice things and hugged him closely. "You're quite possibly the first person in a very long time to have made a difference in my life, I'm glad it's a good one" he replied to her. Rose then explained how she was just a Padawan, but Phantrx smiled. "I was a padawan once, we all have to start somewhere" he replied, then continued "you can make that difference, I know you can".

Phantrx then listened to her praise of him, and continued to smile, before saying "hey, before you go". He wrapped his arms around her and put his head on her shoulder, before lifting his head back up, so their faces were right in front of each other.

Rose smiled happily.

"We do don't we? Thank you i really needed to hear that."

She smiled at the hug and it quickly turned into a blush with there faces so close.

"y-yes?" She stumbled over her words.

She was amazed that she did so much in such a short time it felt great. That within hours she made a difference to him. It gave her hope and the determination she needed to keep going. She really was never walking away. She would stay she had work to do places to go and things to learn. She felt more ready then ever.

Her voice had steadied as she repeated softly now. "yes?"

Phantrx's confidence suddenly shrunk to zero after he'd got himself into this awkward situation. He pulled his face away from hers and looked to the ground, blushing. He turned to face his com-pad, hoping she'd make it all better somehow. He could tell she was now confident, and that made him very happy, he'd done something good for once in a while. "I- ehh" he muttered, unable to find his words.

He looked down at the floor again, rubbing the back of his neck with his right hand, awkward on the spot. He waited for Rose to do something.

rose looked confused then it dawned on her. she smiled softly putting her hand on his upper arm. she wasn't sure how to feel about it but she wouldn't leave him like this. so she took a deep breath and smiled she stood on her toes gently kissing his cheek.

"that's what you wanted yes?" she asked.

"i know its not quite the kiss you were hoping for but i wanted to check that this was what you were going for just then. if it was then i can do it again."

Phantrx was shocked, but inside, maybe that is what he wanted. He was letting his feelings guide him, and they were leading him towards that. "Ehh... well thank you, Rose, that is sort of what I was aiming for yes" he said softly. His cheeks turned more red and his feelings guided him further. He looked up into the eyes of Rose and smiled, with red cheeks he pushed his face further in...

rose nodded she noticed how he leaned to her again and did as well once again kissing him she closed her eyes and quickly pulled away as soon as they met.

"im sorry." she said softly.

"im stuck between morals and feelings. we just met to so i don't know and."

she nervously let her hand morph claws then got rid of them and did it again it was a tick of the shi'ido human mix's.

"i guess that i trust you but i'm still afraid to go any farther then this."

it hurt a little each shift but it was normal to her at this point hardly even fazed her. maybe it helped keep her grounded.

Phantrx smiled and blushed, before replying "I am the same, and I let my feelings guide me, I am sorry, it was too early". He held her hands and asked, "how should I contact you again, so we can have that meal you were on about?". Phantrx waited for a reply after whistling, and the big wolf, Pez, bound through the corridor towards them, with his tail wagging and tongue out.

Phantrx looked back at Rose and smiled.

Rose smiled at him. "Its alright."

She gave him a way to reach her through comlink. Rose smiled at pez and pet him kindly. then looked back to Phantrx and kissed him on the cheek again.

"If you ever need me I will be here for you as soon as I can. I don't like promises but I give you my word."

Phantrx smiled and replied "same here, see you soon" and he watched as she left the ship. Phantrx wanted to be away from the Jedi Temple as soon as he could, he wasn't ready for that yet...
