Hello! A friend that just started in my Star Trek RP mentioned she was starting here. My old Star Wars RP has died to practically nothing so I thought i would take a look. I can easily say this board is quite daunting. So many people! I don't know exactly what to do yet, but here is some info about me.

Ive been Roleplaying for over 20 years (I started as a teenager ps. I know Im old).
I used to be big into roleplaying on Arts and Entertainment in Yahoo Chat. That's how I started this crazy love of mine.
I continued in forum spaces after the chat rooms were shut down.
I started Roleplaying Star Wars on EOTF in 2000 and have stuck with them ever since in all iterations. Currently its http://swrpforum.proboards.com/but we havent played in a while. I took a year off to have a baby and they seem to have died down. Sheridan Karrde was my first character there and I still love her muchly.
I rp Star Trek as well on Star-Fleet.com. I love that club so much.
I LOVE being a plot device and I don't shy away from hard hitting subjects.

Irl:
I'm a step mom to two boys and a brand new mom to a baby boy named Ollie.
We are a totally geek family.
I read books via audiobooks mostly these days because I have a commute.
I knit.
I am an award winning burlesque dancer.
I am in the Diversity and Inclusion Council at work and fight regularly for LGBTQIAA rights where I can.
I have two wonderful dogs. I'm totally a dog person but I don't mind cats.
I'm about to attend DragonCon. This will be my 12th year.

So there you go. That's me in a basic sort of way. I'm up for conversation. Up for ideas on where to start.

My favorite? Depends entirely on my character I guess. What I have played most is light side. What I have played longest is a smuggler/fringe.
