Looking in a Mirror (Safiriel Bane)

"That is what being a sith is about for those that exist these days. It turned from a message of Order into a message of personal power and as such you are being trained to cause pain and suffering for the empowerment of yourself and your leaders... do not get me wrong. I believe the Sith code has many good ideas, but its application is in my experience sickening." She paused for a moment before returning focus on Bane. "You sought a haven, a way to be secure and safe in your own power. That is how the Sith operate is through making you feel strong and safe, by forcing you to depend on them for more power and that is how it starts. For some, this is just what they want but you show severe shame to me right now. Do you regret your actions? If you do not regret them, then you have done nothing wrong. You can murder a million or a billion, and as long as you do not regret them then i cannot teach you how i believe. If you do though, tell me why."

"I feel as if....As if what I've done is shameful because it feels like I've hidden. I've hurt, killed and tortured and for what? So I don't face whats happened to me? To hide behind a petty conviction of power? I don't know how to tell you precisely. It feels like I walk, speak and act out a lie every day, and now is the first time that I face the truth. Does that make sense?"

She asked helplessly, emotion stirring deep within her as she admitted to the near strange the thoguhts that plagued her, that kept her from sleep, that made her question what was truly good and evil, that made her wish for another chance

"I face a similar situation, though in my case i stabbed the one who talked to me with a branch. Lets try to avoid that." Her smile drew a bit back as she looked at the woman with more of a caring expression now than anything else. With a gentle hand she rested it on Bane's shoulder and nodded. "No need to force the words you don't have. The benefit of this situation is i know what you have faced and i know what it feels like but i understand more than anything wanting to hide from what you have done in the past so you have no need to worry about me turning it on you... follow me." She smiled as she would lead the younger one towards the roof. If there was anything that would heal the one with her, it would be the nexus she worked so diligently on for years.

The woman nodded, a soft sad smile on her lips. The simple touch was already comforting, and almost mutely she followed the woman, her hands clasped before her. Out on the roof, a single tear rolled down her cheek, quickly wiped away on one of her gloves. "Thank You" She said softly, reaching out to take the Woman's hand, squeezing it softly. She admired the roof, already feeling the serenity that this place contained, and perhaps for her, in the future, peace

As soon as they reached the roof, her garden would stretch out before Bane's eyes, controlled and kept well. It was a different world compared to the compound itself or even the forest that surround her home, and the thing that sparked the most attention was the tree in the center. It was there where the lightside poured from like a fountain and covered the area in the aura that the girl was now feeling. As soon as the pressure on her hand sparked too, alexandra smiled and looked at her. "Its ok, there is a reason i live in the middle of nowhere. Her there is no need to hide, to cover yourself and pretend to be what you aren't. Ironically, the most separated and easiest place to hide, is the easiest place to stop hiding." Her eyes focused on the younger one and slowly she led Bane towards the tree itself.

Safiriel's eyes wandered over the beautiful gardenscape, before her eyes wanderes up, looking at the tree. Her hand reaches out, running over the bark, feeling the powerful aura emnating from the center of the garden "You have made something truly wonderful" She said softly, her gaze turning back to her host "I appreciate what you have done for me, and what you are trying to do. I just want to thank you already, this means much to me"

She laughed as her own hand moved to touch the bark. "There is no reason for you to be appreciative of this. You came to my home seeking out of curiosity what is before you right now, that fact is no different. And im not trying to do anything. I am in the business of sharing and attaining knowledge Young one. I care about the welfare of those close to me and i care about seeing those struggling with their lives and their paths to find what is right for them. For some it is as the kill the Sith want but your path is up to you to decide. If it is as they want you to be, then i support that but if it is something you choose to follow under your own will and thoughts, then i will not stand to leave you without a support. I am her as i have always been to be a voice of balance. There must always be good and evil, Jedi and Sith, and while i will never advocate the destruction of either... i know that there must always be the both of them." Her eyes turned on Bane now as she finished. "And you, which sie do you choose to be on, or are you one of the few who chose neither?"

She nodded softly "I will choose my own path. I must find my own fate, not let others prescribe it to me. I see that now i've been misslead by some theological insanity...With all the talk of light and dark, one truly cannot be without the other. If I may...I would like to meditate for a while here, and consider what you have said, I am eager to speak with you more afterwards, and you can share more of your knowledge with me, if you're so inclined" She bowed to the woman now, deeply and respectfully

Alexandra just smiled and nodded. "You may have been mislead, but do not hold that against them. To them that is the truth and they merely wished to bring you to understand them just as the Jedi would try to and i have given you the chance to see from the outside. Go ahead and meditate as long as you need, most i do these days is look at birds and count leaves. And trust me, i wish that was a joke." Her smile remained as she left Safi to sit and meditate. She would take the time to stand by the edge of the roof where she had dropped to the ground before. There she would sit and wait, eyes closed as the sun started to set in one direction and signalling the end of a day.

Safiriel remained in her meditation for nearly two hours, her body and mind soaking in the peace and calm this place radiated, allowing it to relax her. Eventually though she rose, with a contented sigh, and faced toward her host, walking toward her quietly "May I burden you by asking if I might stay here for a few days? I feel like there is much you can show me, though I do not wish to bother you"

When Bane stirred once more, Alexandra found herself greeted with a new request and all she could do was simply nod at first. It was only after a few seconds could she seem to speak to the woman and with a movement of her hand let the lights she kept around the area ignite from behind their glass coverings. "You are more than welcome to stay, though i must warn you that it will be almost completely devoid of other beings minus myself and a small white furred ashlan wolf that lives with me. Hes an old companion of mine and kind of like a child."

"Thank You, that sounds perfect, you might be suprised to hear......I can't be around others" She begins to explain, leaning on the railing "I can't block out the thoughts, and emotions of others. They flood into my mind and....they can be quite agonizing when theres more than one or two of them at a time. Here it is good though, being isolated...Its the perfect place for me to learn from you"

"An Empath... there is someone i know like you that is rather annoying in his own way. Reminds me that i need to pay the man a visit next time i decided to leave this place and go out exploring again. Anyways." She rubbed her neck quick and stared at the woman who was talking before finally speaking once more. "Its been a great deal of time since i had to teach anyone fully. So i do apologize if i don't quite remember things as well as i used to." Her hand stopped on the nape of her neck while she said that, thinking how best to start off their little session.

"Might I make us tea?" The woman suggested, seeing the slight hesitation on Alexandra's part. "I'm sure you'll do fine ma'am" She said, standing with her hands politely folded behind her back infront of her, her eyes focused on Alexandra and what she said

She laughed as she heard herself being called ma'am. "Saafi, call me Alex or Alexandra. Im rather short on the use of a title so you really have no need to do that. I must say though that you surprise me ever so... tea would be great." Her smile returned as she looked at the Echani girl whom was probably as old or older than her current body. It was odd seeing someone like that, hell even knowing her true age should be about thirty by now she still now felt younger by the second.

"I try my best. Where do you keep your tea? Or shall I make some from my travel pack?" she asked, glancing about for what path might take her to the kitchen, an some warm water. The assassin found that tea was the best way to begin most conversations, it warmed the body, loosened the thoughts and relaxed all those that sipped it, by far it was her favorite beverage. "I'll be right back then"

"There is some tea in the kitchen two floors down, just head through that door into the old council chambers and take the elevator down..." She pointed to the rounded part of the roof that was sectioned off by walls and a door that would slide apart on command. Alexandra herself was interested in the woman who had shown up but she had to admit it had taken her a bit of time since the last conversation she had had with someone over a cup of tea. She wondered a great bit about this woman and more so who it was that this woman followed in the past.
