Lost and alone.

It wasn't uncommon to see a young girl in a space port, it was however, rare to see one by herself late at night. This young blonde girl managed to find the rare empty hail with a bench in it and sat down on it and started crying, Reality had finally set in for her, She wasn't going to be able to go back home anytime soon, She wasn't going to see her friends or family for a long time, Now, for the first time in her life, Claire Ouron was truly alone. The feeling was overwhelming, she wanted to be with friends, she wanted her brother wake her up and tell her this was just a bad dream but above all else, "I....I want to go home...I just want to go home..."

One aspect of a jedi life no one ever talks about.. the reports and responding to things on the planet. One such time well going to the ports and checking on people or things happening just in case of wrong doing. Her attention going through the hallways as she walked taking in more and more of the things with a nod of agreement to herself before she sensed something. Matsu walked into the empty hallways and it wasn't empty there was someone there while she moved to join her and check to make sure she was okay. She didn't need to make a big thing about it just sat down silently and spoke offering a napkin. "Little girl why are you so sad?"

"T...thank you..." Claire said as she took napkin. "I'm... I'm upset...Because...I can't go home... Alderaan.. It's too dangerous now. We could only afford to send one person... So he sent me... And now I.. I don't know what to do anymore. My friends, my family... I don't know if I'll ever see them again." Claire really didn't notice or care that this person was a Jedi or not. Matsu could have been a Hutt and Claire still would have told her everything.

Listening to the girl as she told everything the jedi master remained quiet and still only offering comfort to her at the end with a bow of her head. "Sounds like you were protected. A noble goal but sending you away was somethign dangerous. Do you have a plan? Family that wasn't on Alderaan?" She didn't want to paint her families difficult decision in a poor light but there was a lot of risk in sending her off world. They might have been able to keep the sith from finding her but she could have ended up in the hands of slavers or a turncoat who basically sold the ones they had taken off from the world get sold back. She gave a look at her offering her hand. "I am jedi master Matsu."

It took a moment for Claire's mind to register what that meant but when it did her sobbing slowed and she smiled when she realized that this kind stranger was a jedi master but at the same time she felt a little embarrassed. Claire always admired the jedi and wanted to meet one someday, she never thought that when did she'd be a crying mess, it was actually a little funny. "My name is Claire Ouron, it's nice to meet you." She said as she bowed her head. "But no sadly, I know my father is from Corellian but I don't know who my family is there. "

Matsu understood and gave a nod of her head in agreement. "Well Clare welcome to Lothal and its majorish city. Only place really so you might like it and the jedi temple can work to help you find your family. Or well we always extend a chance to live at the temple and learn the jedi ways to people. Kind of nice like that." But first the important part as she was working to continue Domino's legacy or helping the poor and hungry offering a hand to the girl with a smile. "I was looking around and going to head to the Natasi kitchens. Soup kitchens a friend started to feed people, get you some food so you don't go hungry if you do not mind."

"Grrrrr!"

That grizzly sound was the sound of Claire's stomach reminding her that she was in-fact extremely hungry.

Claire's face turned red as she chuckled to herself. "That sounds wonderful. Thank you so much." For the first time that day Claire started acting like her usual self again, her smile was back, her body's movements started to become more expressive. She wasn't 100% there but Matsu's generosity had gone a long ways towards getting her there.

"You are most welcome now lets get some food in your belly." Matsu looked at the girl smiling as she led the way, the streets more or less unchanged but there was the benefit now of food carts and things for them. THe people working to make something better with the sifferent people shopping and Phenex had helped. All of that companies resources were being used to build up and construct sections of the city to fix it. So the Saori building had a line as Matsu walked towards it getting let in as she went back towards her office. THe food was being served and cooked up before she spoke to try out the new menu with raised eyebrows before she was taking a seat in her office while offering the chair next to her for the girl to look out from the window. "Here we are, a nice place to get food and drink while you decide what you would like to do."

Claire thought about it for a while but before she could make a decision she remember something her mother told her that might be a problem. "Hold on.. Master Matsu? I thought you needed to have a special sense in-order to be a jedi? What if I don't have it?"

"Well then you can eat some of the food, stay in a bed until we get a place to take you in or family offworld. We wouldn't send you back to a sith world but we can't just leave you alone on the streets." She said it with a smile. "Though you could work in the temple still there are positions among the staff non force users can do and it gives free food and board as well as some spending credits." She was looking at her with some raised eyebrows wondering what the little girl wanted to do.

Claire started to think about this again. Claire was always inspired by her mother to help people, she was a nurse and she helped people everyday and here was chance for Claire to do the same thing. Not only that, but Matsu has been extremely nice to her, She had to repay her somehow, but the final reason was that maybe someday the jedi would be able to go to Alderaan and help them, if they did she wanted to be there to help them in someway. She knew this wasn't a decision to be made lightly but she was sure about this. "I... I want to become a jedi." Claire said as she gave Matsu a nod of confidence. "And if I can't become one then want to stay and help them somehow."

The jedi master nodded in agreement and some enjoyment of the scene. Slowly letting her hands clap together while she stood up eating and pointed. "Then we shall make it so." Less cool sure but far more percise going forward as she thought about the different way to test to see if one was force sensitive. She could ask her to guess cards and pictures sure or try to see if she knew things without being told... or saw the future but that wasn't always the most reliable and tests for apitude didn't say what kind of jedi you were going to be just that you could be. You needed to really dive into the meat of it while her attention went to some of the things the girl had. "And we shall start now. Tell me what you know about the jedi and the force?"

Well this was going to be something of a trip down memory lane for Claire as she leaned back in her and looked outside. "Well... My mom was a nurse for the republic and my father was part of the army so me and my brother kind of grew up with stories about the jedi." She explained as she took her mind back in time.

"My dad always told me that there were invincible protectors. He'd always talk about they fought with weapons forged from light itself, could destroy armies of droids with the wave of their hands and were always clam even when things looked grim. He liked to call them magicians because of the amazing things they could do. He told me this story that he once met two magicians, one wore clothes as black as night and was so evil that he could hold a thunderstorm in the palm of his hands, the other was so powerful that when my dad and his friends were about to give up, the jedi sat down and asked angels to sing for them, and when they did everyone suddenly felt like they were untouchable, like nothing could ever hurt them again!" One could tell that Claire was trying to mimic her father as she told his story, everything was just a little bit exaggerated from the way she was talking to pretending that she was indeed holding a thunderstorm in her hands.

She calmed herself down when she spoke her mother's story though. "My mother always told a different side to their story, She always said jedi were the worst patients because they were always in a rush to get back to helping others even if they were still hurt but she always enjoyed talking to them too. She was always curious about them and they were happy to explain who they were. "She said the jedi were more then just super heroes, they're followers of old code that asked for personal sacrifice for the sake of helping others less fortunate then you. Mom also said that the code was also a guide to understanding the world as it really was. She said the force was like a web where everyone and everything was connected and you couldn't do something without effecting part of the web, If you did something good they'll want to do good to so the good will spread, if you did something bad the web suffered and the bad would spread. She'd always try to make a lesson out of her storied like how she'd remind me to think about how what I was doing would effect others around me."

There was a look from the jedi master as she looked at the girl and listened to her tell her tales and explanation. It was very good to hear as the thoughts about from the lips of babes came to her." She was impressed offering a small smile while she shifted and started eating the food like it was popcorn to listen to her speak while thinking about it. She could give more tests but the girl was already giving one of the best answers she had heard before to what a jedi and the force was. No people with magic powers and laser swords who could do anything, no it was something great. "Very good, the jedi would be good to have you." Now to the real test as the jedi master reached out with her hand and whispered as she slowly started to generate the force in white whisps held on her hand. "This is the force, reach out and take it."

"Whoa..." Claire whispered as she stared at the energy field in her hand. She had never seen the force before so she was a bit stunned by the sight of it. Claire took a deep breath to try to relax. Calm down Claire. Calm down... This isn't going to hurt you, well I don't think so anyway. The point is... I made the choice, I know I can do this. Claire reached out and gently grabbed whisp from Matsu's hand.

Matsu let the energy go, generated force energy was like water well slush water. You could shape it and hold it for a time but eventually it would get loose again, thankfully it didn't really do much danger wise unless you used it for something. "Careful with it, now just hold it and focus on the force energies in your hand and how you can maintain it. Keep it like a little ball for as long as your can, it might be warm but it won't get hot or heavy. It won't hurt you either it will just dissipate if you let it go." The jedi master was sitting there and letting her focus and work on the force energies.

Claire closed her eyes and tried her best to focus while she held the force ball in her hands. She took deep breaths. The feeling from the small orb of energy in her hands was actually quite pleasant, it was indeed warm, but in the way that reminded Claire of standing by a fireplace in the winter.

There we go, she was doing well and the jedi master moved a little to watch with interest to see what she could do and for how long. THe girl either way was proving she could feel the force and that was what was important while the jedi spoke. "Very good, now see how long you can keep it and welcome to a larger world padawan." She said it with a smile on her face and the little girl could do many things now, more so whens he thought about it given some of the advanced they had made within the order fo teaching as well as protecting. Just equipment wise there were things that few really got to do.

Claire kept holding onto the the energy and as she did she felt something inside herself, in was faint but it felt gentle, until it eventually faded away and the orb of energy along with it. When Claire opened her eyes again they were wide with excitement and wonder. "That... That was amazing..."

Matsu was looking at her as she gave a bow of her head to her. It was just that, beautiful and wonderful you could see as she brought her hand out to place it on the little girls shoulder. "Indeed it is, that is the force and you just showed yourself you can use and feel it. Now the hard part is over and the real adventure begins. Here on Lothal you will be able to do quite a lot while exploring and learning how to use the force." She could be a jedi, a good jedi. Matsu would never say one such could be a great jedi, it got them over confident or arrogant trying things as she was focusing on some of the sections with a smirk on her face. "So do you want to be a jedi?"
