Lum Running in the Silken Asteroids (ORC, Open)

His own shields were up and ready for the incoming fire. He had no idea what was lurking in the asteroids, but he knew he had to be prepared. The Jedi Master was a pilot first and foremost, and this theater, was his favorite. His ship was completely rebuilt by him, and even had the iBorg system wired into it, so it responded as quickly as he was thinking. To strain of himself, of course.

But years of practice? It wasn’t so bad.

But as his turrets got their lock, more pings came through and his astromech was providing the updates to the pilot. Great, corvettes. He pushed the ship down and through the asteroids. Getting some cover while his turrets would keep on the Jast 1.

“Not anything you’re going to be getting, Skull.” The pilot gripped the controls, diving the ship through another roll. He could get a few chatters from the U-Wing and the squadron. But he was heading in that general direction, though not precisely.

Luring what he could into the rocks.

"Like to play in asteroids do ya!"

She launched the SS Laughing Skull after him. The slaveged TIE engines of the Jast 1 were devastatingly fast. As she flew she zeroed in on her prey and launched a few more rounds his way. He was good but she wanted to see exactly how good. Meanwhile the scrapper nets moved to a new target, roving towards the U-Wings as the others dissaperared into the belt.

The Marauders opened fire with a torrent of diamond boron missiles. Followed by flak from the Action IV's

She pushed the throttle, and disgorged another round of repeater fire after Corren.

"I bet ya got a juicy haul in there mate!"

Asteroid rumbled but its occupants didn't seem too concerned. The explorer wobbled but quickly righted herself, pushing deeper into the base. It was more like a shadowport, really. Kind of. Mercs and pirates milled about armed out the wazoo. A gamorrean bumped into her, propelling her into a trandoshan.

"HEY!" He grunted and peered closer at the girl. "YOU don't belong here."

Kinsey's shoulders shrugged, a half-grin peeling across her mouth. "I'm here to make a deal. With your boss." She lifted the carton of high-grade lum between them. "Has to do with what's going on outside, too." Another boom not so far off shook the craggy-ground they were standing on. The structures made of rock and tin vibrated.

The trandoshan shot Kinsey a look as if he should just kill her right then and there. His gaze shifted to the lum. "Come on, then." He offered her a toothy grin and began leading her toward a tall-tower like structure that rose over the middle of the packed complex.

Whelp. Good thing for some good lum.

"If you spot TIEs, aim for the radiator panels: they are liable to overheat once these go down!"

Uglies or not, she tried to close the distance between her and Coren, while remaining mindful of opposing fighters circling around the area where Coren was located. Meanwhile, she could sense that [member="Coren Starchaser"] was in some level of trouble, while he was luring the pirates into the asteroids. However, [member="Selar Silar"] was busy dealing with Coren; perhaps, in Griet's mind, the pirates won't notice her until it's too late. But, in this soup of asteroids, the fighters needed some maneuverability to keep up with the tortuous terrain. And also even on an Ugly with a TIE's radiator panels, the craft would be liable to overheat if the radiator panels are damaged, or worse, destroyed. So they were opening fire on various Uglies from rather odd angles, forced upon them by the layout of the asteroids in the field. These heavy repeaters clearly didn't have the cleanest lines of fire so they had to make this opportunity count at every turn. And maybe... maybe they can drop bombs on the Action IV. Or Jast 1. But they were still too far away from any of those ships for that to happen. And also some distance away from [member="Kinsey Starchaser"].

He wasn’t just some common pilot. No, he was Jedi Master and Ace Pilot Coren Starchaser. Asteroids? He could respect the fact that they were a disaster waiting to happen, but he knew there was so much use to trying to lure someone into the field. Of course, someone could just wait or go around it, but he wasn’t some Starlord. He was Starchaser. A pilot who knew what he was doing and dove deeper into the field. He heard the pirate but wasn’t going to entertain them, not yet.

Keeping quiet, the Tachyon Rising was pushing through the rocks, down to a third of her max speed and with her shields to full. Shields were going to stop some of the rocks and most of the blaster fire. “Maybe I do.” He couldn’t help but try to lure them closer. If they were focusing on him, he hoped they wouldn’t focus on the others with him.

Protector.

Watchman.

Sentinel.

The Force was flying around Coren, Danger Sense being set off to prep for the rocks, but he was more hopeful that the Black Sun would come after him.

Now, if only he had seismic charges...
