(OOC: lol I just realized that out avatars have look like they're doing the same thing)

"Oh, okay." Jake had to admit he was kind of bummed at that. He'd hoped he had found an easy shortcut, but instead it only confused him more. No matter. He was usually a quick thinker and quick to learn anyway, so he was confident he would have it in no time. "So how do you do it? When I first learned how to use fire, I would think of something related, like a phoenix or a volcano. In my mind, it was the easiest way to conjure the flames. So what about air?"

I could see the disappointment on the man's face. He thought he had found out something new and never thought of, but he was mistaken. No matter, I knew that he would figure it all out soon enough. I simply waited for his next question, because I knew that he would ask another one.

I smiled at what the man thought. noding my head with a slight smile. "I would say that you imagine a ship, or a bird. maybe a tornado? I am saying maybe as I don't use images to fuel my powers. I use emotions to do that. When I was younger I would think of avenging my father and his death. When I got older I thought about the people that I could save and how I could help others, Now I think about what makes me for who I am. and each one of those feelings are stronger than the last. You may continue to use images if you would like, or you could learn to use emotions. Ether way, you will learn which one is your strong suite."

Jake shook his head softly. "No, you mistake me. I used images when I was first learning, as a child. Now... I'm actually not sure what I do. I don't think, it just shows up at my will." To prove his point, he brought his hand up. Whereas a second ago it was clear, it was now covered in fire, the flames dancing off his fingers. Then just as quickly, it dissipated, the remaining embers floating into the air. "I've always had a vivid imagination. Whatever I can think up, I can create in flame. But like I said, nowadays it's less thinking, and more action."

I was rather taken back when he said that it now just came and happened and then I smiled at him. "Then we shall start where you have left off, In your childhood." Walking over to him I held out my hand for him to look slowly a gust swirled around the perimeter of my hand. "I want you to imagine anything and everything that comes to your mind when I say a different word, then I want you to tell me what you thought."

"Wind, gust, freedom, open, space, grace, and Invicus."

"Air, strong, cage, free, planets, liberty..." He thought for a moment on the last one. "Determination. It reminds me of determination." Jake wasn't sure what the point of this 'test' was, but in a way, he saw where Morna was leading. Perhaps if he could master the words, the concepts, maybe he could more easily master the use of air itself.

I smiled as the man said everything that he thought of. Nodding my head once I asked him another question to keep him occupied. "Now the words you said, what do you think of them?"
@[member="Jake Travers"]

Jake was quick to answer, already anticipating the question. "They're all diverse, but they're also the same. It's like they relate to each other, even though none of them are saying anything remotely close to the same. Kind of hard to explain, but... yea."

I smiled and nodded my head. As I stood there talking to him I watched his body as he thought, taking the event into perception. Around his body the air swirled around his form. picking up dust and small rocks that made their way up here. I smiled as he spoke. Every word making the swirl around him stronger and stronger. I pointed at him. "Look at yourself, and see what you are."

He was an Air shaper. There was no doubt about it. If he could so easily think of words that has some resemblance to air or the wind around him. It began to do marvelous works.

Jake began to look around, the air swirling around his body like a miniature tornado. "Woah..." He smirked and shot a palm upward, after which air traveled behind him, through his hand, and outward into a steady blast. After doing the same thing a few more times, he began laughing a little. "That's awesome! Now how do I turn it off?"

@[member="Morna Imura"]

I smiled as he asked the question that even I had problems answering at first. I made myself float into the air and moved myself to him. Getting next to him and was almost shoulder to shoulder with him. "Now that you know how to float, you need to control the wind to push you up." I had said up for a reason instead of down. I wanted him to try and get higher and higher and get use to the air that was around him. "try to think of the sky. How do you think it will feel? what is the texture of the wind?"

(Sorry man, I must have not gotten the tag? *rambles off about checking more often* )

(OOC: lol don't worry about it bro)

Nodding his head, Jake closed his eyes and thought of wings. Images of birds and space and air flooded his mind. Everything coming in all at once seemed it was about to overwhelm him when at last he began to rise. He actually didn't notice what was happening until he opened his eyes again and looked down. Words could not come out of his mouth fast enough as he stared in amazement. He was speechless, but his face said everything.

Smiling I watched him as he began to fly higher and higher. Soon though the power would be taxing for him and force him to ether fall and try to save himself, or to die where he flew. Getting up to him I started to speak again. "Now to go down, let your thoughts go and dispirse not all at the same time, but slowly and you will float down like a leaf from a tree. "
@[member="Jake Travers"]

Jake nodded, and began to let the thoughts of air dissipate from him. However, he screwed up. He had let the entire feeling drop away all at once, and fell five feet straight down in a heap. Groaning, he struggled to get back up. "Okay... That really sucked." He chuckled and looked up at Morna, a smirk on his face. "Don't worry, i'll get it eventually."

@[member="Morna Imura"]

I tried hard not to laugh. He had fallen in a heap onto the roof, I opted for a smile and a shake of the head instead. "Try it again. Maybe this time you will get it."
@[member="Jake Travers"]

Jake chuckled and nodded, trying concentrate. The concentration came easier this time, and he once more floated high into the air. This time, however, he wanted to test his limits. Raising himself some thirty feet into the air, he gave a defiant look, like he would not fall, no matter what happened. Then an idea struck him. Smirking, he let himself fall, stopping just inches from the roof, a massive grin on his face.

All I could do was shake my head at Jake's attempts of looking cool. As much as that was good, what if he had someone in his arms? He would have to judge it according to their weight. "That is a useful tactic when trying to surprise someone, but let me ask you this, what if you are carrying a person that is injured and needs to be handled gently?"
@[member="Jake Travers"]

Jake nodded, understanding his point. "True, true. But what if time can't be wasted, and they have to get to a hospital as quickly as possible?"

@[member="Morna Imura"]

I smiled and shook my head. "You would have already been going fast in the first place. Why jarr them up more than the already are? If you are at a hospital and they see you with a bleeding person in your hands, they will come to you. No need to rush. That's their job." I was about to tell him to do it again then I smiled. "How about this, Do what I asked for me, and make it dramatic. You know, stuff that the show on the Holonet and people having dramatic intros? Give it a shot." He may laugh at me now for that, but if he does become a badass later on, he needs to have a good intro.

Jake gave it some thought, before a smile crossed his face. Shooting up, he made sure to fly a good fifty feet above the roof. Once he was at his desired height, he let himself go into free-fall. The wind rushed through his hair as he dropped down at fifty miles an hour. Once he was ten feet above the roof level, he quickly up-righted himself and landed, kneeling, his fist to the concrete.

I shook my head as he still continued to go fast. I wanted him to make a slow entrance. Like how the Villain slowly turns around in his chair petting some furry animal. or having a gun already aimed for you. Shaking my head I shot into the air. When I was only 10 meters from the roof, I stopped, Letting my back face him. Slowly I descended down to the roof and as I was nearing I turned around and with the hair being in my way, I flipped my head to move my hair very natural like. and as I touched the ground, My toes touched first, then with my whole foot down. I spoke. "Just like that."
