Making an army

[member="Tmoxin Temi"]

Aedan Miles sat in a shuttle that was on its way to meet with another member of the CIS who had shares in a cloning facility he was out to make a Clone Army but this clone army would be using one of the most hated individuals in the galaxy as a template. Aedan wanted to make a clone army using himself as the template and he had the means to outfit and field such an army. He had brought a crate of wine as a gift to Tmoxin for her help hopefully it would not take to long for the first batch of clones to be completed so they could begin training with his clan.

Tmoxin traveled back to Kamino as a special favor to one of the Confederacy leaders, the Admiral of the Corsair Fleet, Aedan Miles. Truth be told, the redhead Dark Jedi had a soft spot for pirates as her homeworld had been founded by the Lorell Raiders who captured and kept the most beautiful and appealing Republic women for themselves. While that should have been frowned upon as an anecdote in Hapes’s ugly history, most Hapan women, all except the most staunch feminists, thought it a quaint part of the past.

Of course men would never rule on Hapes because of it, but still quaint to think of pirates in that context, she thought.

Standing under an oversized black umbrella, Tmoxin greeted Admiral Miles on the landing pad of Kaminoan Klones, one of her the sister companies to Morpho Pharmaceuticals.

“Thank you for the wine,” she said with an appreciative smile as the crate was hustled into a nearby building, domed like most of them on rainy Kamino. “I acquired Kaminoan Klones about a year ago,” she explained as they both walked into the cloning facility. “Oh bring a bottle of that wine around to us, would you?” Tmoxin ordered a cargo worker.

“So Admiral Miles, how many clones would you like to make? And will they be regular or do you need added enhancements?”

He chuckles as he follows her towards the building pulling the hood of his coat up so his black hair was semi protected from the rain and he offered her a kind smile. Looking around the storm planet he found himself able to relax for once as he released a sigh before following her into the building and throwing the hood of his jacket back and shaking his hair out. He looked around the area and smiled lightly as he went to a seat and leans back lightly crossing one league over the other as he accepted the glass of wine. "The number of clones would be on the higher end probably couple thousand with training for military actions as well as increased stamina and strength should come in handy." He offers the woman a calm smile as he took a drink of his wine turning his head to the side as he looked into the cloning area nearby looking it over absently.

Nothing was very romantic about Kamino. If outside you were likely to be caught in the ever-present downpour, and once inside your surroundings, you would be elbow to elbow with industrious Kaminoans wearing their strange collars and their hands with only three, slender digits.

But the pair - human and Hapan - could enjoy the wine he’d brought, despite the sterile atmosphere. Admiral Miles was one of her more notable customers, and she appreciated the fact that he did not want to use her DNA like the last individual who she’d helped to make a clone. It was a memory she did not care to recall.

She led the Pirate King to a small area with white, vaguely egg-shaped chairs where they could talk without being disturbed.

“A thousand,” Tmoxin said her forehead wrinkling slightly as she worked out how much that would cost and how long it would take. “Do you plan to be the prime clone? And as you might already be aware of, the cloning process can be unstable if the replicas need to be ready in a short amount of time.”

Swirling the wine in her glass momentarily before she sipped it, she asked, “What’s your timetable for readiness?"

He smiles at her as she talks nodding his head occasionally before he started to speak his silver eyes gleaming as he placed a data pad on the table before him. "Yes I would like to be the Prime Clone and the time table is rather open I would like a first unit of roughly 50 to be made available at the earliest convince of this company but I do not wish to infringe on their honor as a company by requesting sub par clones. If they require time than I can be patient and wait as long as necessary as to arming the clones I can make contracts with various companies to have shipments of armor and weapons sent here to outfit the clones once they are completed." He took a sip from his wine as he looked at the woman before him while he had various uncomfortable encounters with Hapans before this he could not lie Hapan woman almost had an unnatural beauty about them.

A Kaminoan suddenly appeared with a datapad to transcribe the order. He tapped upon the glossy surface with his three fingers as though his life depended upon it, and it likely did. He did not stop even when Tmoxin spoke, transcribing her words with precision.

“That first batch is doable. I’ll assign someone to monitor them, however as they will be unstable. Any sign of psychological inferiority and they will be sent back to the lab. Or destroyed if they can’t be salvaged. The rest will come in due time, perhaps a shipment per quarter.”

The Hapan sipped from her wine glass again, savoring the spicy cherry flavor of it and asked, “Admiral Miles, just how did you end up on the path to piracy? You seem like a clever man, not unreasonable. But there’s always a fork in the road for those of us who don’t like to follow the rules.”

Crossing her long legs, she asked, “What was the moment when you decided to become your own entrepreneur and not follow anyone else's rules?”

That got Aedan's attention turning his silver eyed gaze on her calmly he looked into her eyes for a moment before an almost bored grin crossed his lips. "Well you see Lady Tmoxin It is very very simple I was bored of doing what every other person was doing. I simple wished for something more intriguing and exiting at this time I joined up with Isley Verd and he gave me a very simple deal. Anything I steal I get to keep from there it just stuck I suppose you could say I take pleasure and taking what other people once owned." He offered her a calm smile his silver eyes gleaming as he leaned back his hand lifting the cup to his lips as he took a drink slowly.

Tmoxin did not question what her customers wanted. If he wanted an army of Admiral Miles's, he would get them as surreal as that prospect sounded. It begged the question: if there were a hundred Aedans would that reduce the historical and social importance of the prime clone? The Hapan wasn’t prepared to answer, but only knew she would not want multiple Temis spread throughout the galaxy. Her sister Tha’ga was competition enough.

I take pleasure and taking what other people once owned.

Her eyebrows rose, a melodic, amused noise escaping her lips. “Then I have a request that will perhaps leave you immensely gratified.” One sharp glance up at the long-necked alien told him to begin transcribing again.

“I seek a medallion called Tenel's Star. The antiquity was made by master Hapan craftswomen and the blue stone at the end of the pendant, is a giant rainbow gem from Gallinore. It was worn by Princess Tenel Ka Djo during her reign and recently stolen from the Hapan Royal Museum in Ta'a Chume'Dan.” Was Tmoxin trying to manufacture a political favor to get back in the good graces of the Queen and her family? Maybe.

“Find it for me, and I’ll pay for your clones myself, and give you a bonus on top of it.”
