With more than a thousand starfighters in permanent garrison, including interceptors and space superiority heavy fighters, as well as interdictor corvettes, ECM platforms, and naval artillery frigates on permanent assignment, and supplemented by a standing fleet in rotational service, Malvern Point is more than sufficient to guard the Confederacy’s capital against invasion. Furthermore, four battalions of Confederate Marines and six more of battle droids combine to offer excellent defense against boarding or landing parties and are quite capable of locking down the entire Malvern Point facilities in just minutes. In addition, the base is home to the CIS Naval Warfare Training Center, providing instruction not only to cadets preparing to enter Confederate Naval Service, but also to currently-serving personnel in fleet operations, advanced aerial warfare, tactical operations, and more.
