Mandalorian Clans assault on Republic NUBIA

Nubia, Shipyards

Lorsima took a step up taking on another attack and she was grateful when he missed, unfortunately, his comrade did not and. His blade sliced against her beskar'gam but it held up, not that it took the pain out but it did its job. The third had backed off and was waiting for her to strike to make his move. She steadied herself, hammer still in hand. Chaos erupting around her, she was a cog in the machine and a cog that refused to fail. Her battle rage flourished stomping her feet like a bull preparing to charge. One, two, three... She broke free from the grapple and swung her hammer around the third guy fired his rifle, and critically failed to hit his target and instead wounded his own ally while her hammer made contact with the same man he had struck, finishing him off.

As one republic soldier's head met with the floor beneath them, she took a swing from a vibroblade. He only just matched her in speed and strength doing enough to cut into her, blade penetrating into flesh. Lorsima didn't have to move she swung, and swung that hammer of hers, and it hit both times, but the Republic soldier was still standing. His compatriot was frozen in horror that he had contributed to the death of his own.

"You fight well," she tells the man while sidestepping his blow and countering it with her own, "but you will perish, as will the Republic."

Blade met pommel, "why do you hate us so much?" He asked her honestly, "why?"

"Because you have no honor, you break your word and do not mean what you say," she tells him before shoving him back, he loses his footing and Lorsima takes advantage of the opening, "and that makes your Republic, weak."

She watched as his body fell to the ground and looked over to the third man, and grinned wildly. Blood trickled out of her wounds, the blood rager's eyes looked as if they were going into some battle hazed frenzy. This man was not going to back down or run away, he pointed his gun at her and she advanced into his square, swinging that hammer up with both hands hearing it connect with his jaw.

Resistance was weakening as the berserkers pushed on, the floor slick with running blood where they encountered Republic soldiers. Kima had to admit, there were some among their number that had fought well enough, facing death with bravery and courage, but there were too few to stand against the Mandalorians. The rest had either never seen combat or had never fought Mandalorians, much less Mandalorian berserkers in full battle rage.

She shook the bevii'ragir to clear the blade of gore, splattering the bulkhead and floor with red in the process. She and the other warriors around her were coated in crimson, their armor obscured in many places by the lifeblood of those they had slain in their rampage forward. Ahead was a large, rather dominating structure guarded by more Republic soldiers. These men had taken the time given to them by their fallen comrades and attempted to barricade the area, making it more defensible. For most, this would warrant a slow of the advance and to call up either specialized equipment or larger numbers to assault a defended position. For Kima and her clansmen, it was nothing of the sort.

There were enemies ahead and a fight to be had. The rage hadn't run its course just yet and she saw grips tighten on weapons, knowing that the warriors inside their armor were itching to charge. As if a silent order had been given, they did just that and with feral cries and roars of bloodlust, the berserkers rushed the barricades. Though few in number, they could shrug off injuries that would stop others and fight until they could no longer lift a blade.

Blaster bolts impacted all around and she watched as a few bolts sparked off the dinu'ul shields a few of the warriors carried. Others took the blasters on their armor, some staggering under the force of the impact, but only one warrior fell, his body unable to carry him on as blaster rounds took their toll and spilled him to the ground. As she leveled her spear, she felt the air leave her lungs as if an angry giant's fist buried itself into her body. Stumbling only a little, her mind distantly registered a numbness on her side and as if an afterthought, her HUD showed her armor had been damaged. The bolt had missed the beskar plates of her armor and instead had impacted on the undersuit she wore. The logical, rational part of her brain whispered there would be burns and, perhaps, bleeding from the wound, but she charged on, the rage carrying her forward.

With a horrible crash, the warriors met with the republic soldiers. Leaping with a wild shriek, Kima bounded over the first barricade and landed atop a Republic soldier. The spear met first, the blade sinking to the haft as the tip found a weakpoint in the man's armored throat. The two bodies hit the deck and Kima had enough time to stand and messily wrench the spear from her foe before the melee met in earnest.

Now would be the true fighting.

The floor of the landing pad rumbled as an earthquake when all of the cargo freighters engaged thrusters to blast into orbit together, the blades already were preparing and circling around the freighters while warming up the engines with some basic maneuvers, it wasn't long before the full line of merchant vehicles was ready to be deployed.

"This is papa specter is everyone ready?" Mythos said from the pilot seat of the main freighter, he piloted biggest one in their merry band of warriors. The cockpit was dark and shadowy, only barely lit by the red lights upon the system board and joystick. Mythos pulled hard above his head to disengage graviton legs and get the behemoth from the ground and into alignment with the shipyards a few angles to his right. The ship rumbled, squeaked and protested as the aged thing lifted it's megatons from the surface and got ready to blast off. To Mythos' right was a protocol droid who belonged to the owner of the ship, sadly they did not have time to inform the owners of the cargo freighters that they were being... borrowed.

"Sir, the ship is currently at half power and the fuselage gate is open half cock" The droid said, a bit of distress in his vocal data showing.

"Everything is under control B 440, the ship will make it to our destination it's only in orbit."

Soon after all other ships chimed in. "Specter 4 Online" "Specter 7 ready to engage" "Specter 6, Let's get this over with."

Mythos smiled at the sound of Lee's voice and pulled both afterburners forward to blast the titanic vessel into orbit. "Escort fighters in formation, we are engaging full speed to the shipyards, everyone buckle up"

The boom of the thrusters shook the entire ship, the other freighters were behind Mythos' main vessel at their top speed in an awkward, left leaning angle that threw off the escort for a few moments until they readjusted and moved in a formation. It was only a few minutes before they broke from the gravitational pull of Nubia and could see the shipyards without enhanced equipment. Mythos just realized... this thing he was flying had no weapons other than a quad cannon turret. "Someone manning the gun?" He shouted to the back dark alley of the ship, through the dangling cables of force knows what system.
"Yes sir, Nubian corporal Sikian is on the job"

"Let's hope he has good aim then..."
They were crashing straight through the mandalorian assault... when they saw the glory of the republic crash through hyperspace with more than one impressive looking cruiser. Mythos nodded in the pilots chair, as blaster fire from the blades started sounding off as they engaged mandalorian fighters then his own quad cannon started sounding off. Gauntlets tightened around the controls, Mythos narrowed his eyes at the far looking shipyard docking bay... his objective. It would indeed be a bumpy ride.

Lorsima had followed her Vod on Vanquo, and joined them on Kayri. A woman of lesser blood, of a clan who's only goals were to create glorious meals, and farm for the best ingredients. There was no shame in providing a meal to your clan, there was no shame in that at all. As a nomadic people you had to rely on each other but now as they marched on their crusade. The galaxy would know the blade of every Mandalorian, whether farmer or warrior. She looked across the shipyard and found her fellow beserkers as they continued to slaughter their way across. Step by step, swing by swing Lorsima's blood fury remained the sound of her maul connecting with jaw bones, connecting with chest cavities were sickening at worst, and at best - at best heads rolled off.

"Incoming!" She shouted as she looked up, and her HUD calculated the incoming reinforcements for the Republic, and the new players; the Nubians themselves. "Ha, ha! Today is a glorious day for battle!"

She roared across the blood soaked deck, boots making their marks in and out of the blood. Dragging it behind her as she greeted the fresh punching bags as they arrived. Lorsima swung her maul up and felt it connect with one soldier's jaw as she ducked under another's swing, and she could feel the wounds sustained from earlier as she tried to dodge another hit and slipped on the blood soaked deck. Rolling just in time to miss someone's vibroblade, she used her hammer to help her up and swung with both hands into someone's side hearing it make contact with armor.

Fighting was everywhere, yet the Zabrak was alone. On the deck just below [member="Lorsima Gratiir"] sat the man. Around him several dead Republic Commandos. They had been on their way up to the main source of the fighting when Krest happened upon them. They were not prepared. The Zabrak was in his full armor, sword in hand, pistol in the other, and he was waiting.

He knew who was on his way.

[member="Mythos"] .

The fallen king, and once apprentice of his own apprentice. It had been years sense they last talked, but that's not what the man was here for. A single broadcast to all around him was directed right for this King.

"I'm waiting for you, Mythos."
