I just bring this up, because I am envisioning we may have SSC vs SSC in this invasion, at least potentially.

We have people in this faction who may be fighting on the side of the Mandalorians, such as [member="Ember Rekali"] and [member="Basaba Willamina"].

And I've maintained Zak's PC master in the Republic, so Zak will be on the Republic side in the invasion, fighting alongside Nefertari Sovint.

So, plopping this here in case anyone wants to discuss the story opportunities for Coalition vs Coalition, or participation in this event in general.

I logged on right around the time the OOC thread went up. I thought it could put SSC members in a hard place between two allies, the Jedi Order and the Mandalorian Clans, but you bring up a good point, Zak. I was concerned about Jedi vs Jedi, now it's SSC vs SSC. Definitely potential for story, but we should refrain from intra-faction drama.

My personal stance is that SSC as a faction is neutral in the conflict since we're not committed to either side (unlike in say invasions involving Sith). Ergo SSC members can sign up on whichever side they like. After all, the faction is about freedom and ICly it's a loose confederation, not a centralised nation state.


SSC people fighting each other may be a tad awkward, though.

Well, I remember that SSC has an alliance going on with Mandalorians, and we are neutral/friendly towards the Republic. So joining as a faction would be problematic.

Of course the ones joining are free to do so

This could throw a hydrospanner into things. Might want to ICly offer that faction members are acting of their own volition with this.

This invasion is a battle between two governments, as you are all aware. Since the SSC is not aligned with any government and if you are to enter this invasion I suggest that it is done unofficially at this point.

The SSC has a thin treaty with the Mandos which I don't hold much strength in. We have an alliance with the Jedi Order. And with the recent events of the Galactic Republic we view them with caution.

If you do go into this and come face to face with another member of the Jedi be it, SSC member or JO or GA, I strongly suggest you disengage your lightsabers and sit down for a nice cup of tea.
