Strengths:
  • Very high Mobility: With the use of the Jump pack, Jump servo boots, and the friction grip allows the wearer to effectively run along walls, vault over higher obstacles, climb many surfaces, and move about the battlefield with ease. With the max jump height of the jump pack being 35 meters vertically, the jump servos in the boots can aid in the jump, increasing it to 45 meters.
  • Kinetic armor: With constant wall running, being up in the air, or even just from the kinetic blast of a slugthrower or a blaster bolt, kinetic armor is very useful in lowering the risk of breaking bones, bruising, and injuring the wearer. As well as having Graphene weave built into the body glove around the wearer, it greatly increases protection against kinetic attacks.
  • Light/Maneuverability: Having lighter armor, and built in layers and segments allow for a gracious amounts of movement in the arms, legs, and head.
  • Army of One: Having the ability to use a lightsaber shield, Gauntlet, and have many attachments for ammo, weapons, grenades, and general gear, The wearer can quite literally have gear for most situations that other standard armors won't. The High modularity for the belts, holsters, and the ammo that can be carried allows for a Jack of all trades kind of armor.
  • Stealth Silk: Shadowsilk in the fabrics reduce the overall sounds made by the wearer. Letting footfalls be quiet, and gear to not cause so much sound when moving. However, this does not reduce the jump pack sounds, louder sounds the wearer makes such as yelling, or screaming, or sprinting. It just makes sneaking around easier.
  • Active Camo: Installing a Photoreactive fiber into the suit's systems allows for Zeph to shift or change the colors of his armor to closely match the surroundings about him. This is in now way a personal stealth generator. The fibers have distinct color patterns that can be changed to, and implemented on the fly. This does not conceal him completely in any environment. It only allows Zeph to change the camo, and effectively make it harder to be found when trying to blend into the surrounding area.
Weaknesses:
  • Exposed: While the armor is light, and allows very good mobility, it has exposed points all over the body. Lightsabers, blasters, and slugthrowers can still cause damage where plate armor is not covering. While there is armor weave, and a rougher textiles than simple clothing, they won't block everything.
  • Over prepared: The armor can carry many items on it's belts, and just gear in general. However, for someone to wear everything for every situation, the gear can get quite heavy. You just can't carry 4 rifles, 5 sidearms, two lightsabers, 30 grenades and more. Over gearing oneself will limit the armor's capabilities to let you wall run, jump, and move.
  • EMP: As of the moment, there is nothing protecting the armor from EMP damage. Since it's rarely seen to be used, its just another extra that was thrown to the side to make the armor just that much lighter.
  • Little Lightsaber resistance: Sure the wearer could possibly avoid lightsabers through a glancing blow to the armor plating, but anywhere else? Its gonna hurt. Unlike other Mandalorian styled armor meant to protect against such weapons, this one can't.
  • Stealth: While stealth is great in its uses, A force user could still feel the force of the person wearing the armor, or the wearer can be found using thermal, or other electrical systems.
  • Graphene is very useful. Able to block many solid projectiles to a much greater degree than plate armor, or other forms of armor weave. However, as its a Ferromatic metal, it is highly conductive to electricity, and heat. Should a force user use force lightning, or the wearer be somewhere incredibly hot, the effects will be dramatically increased.
Description:
Wearing armor is not just a want with Mandalorians. It's almost a necessity. Every Mandalorian dreams of the day when they can claim a suit of armor their own. One that they can rely on for every purpose, every time. For years, Zeph has wanted to have his own. After seeing his father's set of armor multiple times over the years, and how incredibly durable it was, He wanted his own. He has had various during that time. Using simple armored robes, to standard Mandalorian training armor, and even his own Knightly set of armor. However, he never really had attachments to them, and they never fulfilled the idea of an "everyday for everything" armor.

Zephyr now has his own. With the help of various items from various companies, as well as special crushgaunts, and boots from his Master Isley, Zeph has comprised everything together into one armor set to best suit his needs.

Zephyr is a swordsman, and a lightsaber wielder first and foremost. The armor had to be light, and allow full range of movement. Most of the armor is comprised of a multiple layered suit that can be sealed in from a vacuum. Snugly fitting him, it will allow him to be able to perform various feats of sword play, or lightsaber forms, as well as hand to hand combat should it be necessary. These various fibers, weaves, and even cloth like textiles is around the same thickness as your average military grade armor weave. WIth considerable training with other armors, as well as training in wearing rather cumbersome armor, this poses no hindrance towards his movements.

The armor plating is mostly comprised of kinetic armoring housed with Mandalorian Steel. While Beskar is a very well known metal to use, Zeph found that the weight was not what he wanted. Preferring the lighter, and slightly less durable metal of the Mando Steel over the Mando Iron. THe plating provides excellent protection against blasters, slugthrowers, swords of the standard and vibro variants, and even a few glancing blows from a lightsaber on the thicker portions of armor on the shoulders, bracers, chest, helmet, and shin.

Most of the gear that Zeph has applied to this suit of armor are comprised of the boots, and crushgaunts gifted by Isley for his rank as a Bloodied Mandalorian within the Mandalorian Crusaders, A jump pack with jumping servos housed within the boots to provide very mobile set of jumping actions without the aid of the force, Lightsaber Gauntlet and shield on the right and left arms respectively. A wrist blaster and a monofilament cable launcher on the right and left arms once more, respectfully, and wrist blades that can be deployed to provide protection against hand to hand combatants, or used to prevent falling down a cliff or steep incline.

As with any "standard" Mandalorian armor, they always have a heads up display that can be activated, or turned off for various uses. Having a plethora of displaying functions, additional sight enhancements, and even scanning tools to aid with any sort of exploration, or espionage missions.

With this welcoming jack of all trades armor, it greatly increases the abilities of sneaking around, or using stealth as a primary or alternative form of movement, or combat. Photoreactive fibers in the armor, Shadow silk in the clothing itself, and with Zeph's force capabilities within the force, it allows for a great use of hiding from enemies, and allies alike, as well as a healthy dose of weapons, and tools that can be used at his disposal should he be discovered, or use them when the time is right.

However, there are some clear weaknesses. The openly exposed upper arms, thighs, and even the groin, and butt. While the armor is very good at protection immediate threats such as weapons, fire from blaster and other ranged weaponry, it doesn't protect so well against electrical based powers such as Force lightning, or even just being shocked from your average light socket. The Graphene is very conductive of heat and charges of electricity. In hotter environments, the suit can heat up rather quickly compared to other suits of armor. Wearing for long periods of time in heat can increase the likelihood of zeph having heat stroke, or heat exhaustion.

The stealth functions are great. However, zeph can still be sense through the force if he is not actively fighting against being felt with his own force prowess. Scanners such as Thermal, electrical, and even some of the more highly advanced echo, or vibration scanners can still find him.

This armor is a welcoming addition to Zephyrs gear, and accessories. Considering that last time he went without armor, he lost his right arm, he is more than willing to now wear armor whenever he can.

You have two different types of gauntlets here.

Which ones are you actually using? Or are you using one lightsaber gauntlet and one crunch gauntlet?

[member="Cira"], What I remember is that Crushgaunts are primarily the glove itself. While the bracer portion houses the electronics for the lightsaber blades/shield. It would be like wearing a crushgaunt have a wrist blaster attachment on it. Much like what boba fett had, only instead of a blaster, it houses a lightsaber fixture.

Lightsaber Gauntlet (Right arm) Dur-24 Wrist Laser (RIght arm)
Which is fine, but if you see the pictures for both of these, I'm not sure how you'd be able to wear the lightsaber gauntlet and the wrist laster at the same time.

I mean, if they are interchangeable yes.

[member="Cira"], I guess I forgot to mention it in the sub.

The blaster is housed inside/under the arm, and the sabers are housed on the outside/Top of the arm. I went ahead and mentioned this for both arms in the sub.
