Objective: Establish Silver Concord Outpost

Jesse Organa
Gir too Jesse's hand and shook it, "
A pleasure to meet you."
"
I'm Ariela Captisan," said the
human replica droid, offering a hand to the Alderaanian, "
the admiral's aide...I keep his schedules, help remember names, that sort of thing."
She slowly and almost bashfully smiled at the end of her little introduction. A mannerism that he guessed was supposed to make her a little more endearing and harmless to those she met. If nothing, it did make her seem more humanlike, though like some humans, it was yet another facade to be worn. To the outer public, she was simply his secretary. To those closer within his professional circles, they guessed a trusted confidant. But to a select few within the Directorate, she was his spymaster. Even fewer than they knew that wasn't actually human. Gir guessed that the droid had already made contact with several other "professional acquaintances" since they had landed, though who, he did not know.
And it might be for the better if he didn't.
The admiral turned his attention to the projector, which seemed to be displaying different materials to construct the outpost, along with what he guessed was some sort of shielding system. While not an engineer by trade, by profession he knew enough about technology to oftentimes identify certain pieces and do some basic troubleshooting. He gestured at the shield generator.
"
I'm guessing that's a shield generator," said the man, "
a prudent measure given the rough state of the galaxy unfortunately...have we got to the point of discussing power sources for the facility?"
While seemingly a banal point to many laymen, power supply was where things could get tricky very quickly. The facility might simply tap into the existing civilian infrastructure, which would be relatively cheap and probably make them friends with the local power company. But outside power sources were also vulnerable to attack. Choosing something internal like generators could also be tricky - some could be explosive if a meltdown occurred, while others had to have outside fuel shipped in. It really came down to logistics and politics, not always the most riveting thing to the officer - but that's how the necessities often were: tedious, boring, but ultimately among the most important.
