Map Index v2: Hexes for Nexus

[member="Zeradias Mant"]

Zone 16 is complete.

Corrections Needed:
  • Theta Kai needs changing to a "Chaos Codex Planet."
  • Navrozh needs changing to a "Chaos Codex Planet."
  • Minor typo with Brigna (AK-25), should be Brigia.

[member="Zeradias Mant"] Zone 10 completed, only error beyond a few unadded planets was that Antecedent is misspelled on the map as "Antecedant".

Also, on the spreadsheet itself I've seen a few planets that have had their coordinates added but are not distinguished by Canon/Codex Canon. Additionally, I also saw a couple marked as "Capital" in that field, are we intending to mark capitals? If we are that should be added to the drop down (though I don't recommend it because that will get outdated fast).

And lastly, a question: with planets that are designated as two different overlapping regions in their submission (or say one region but are actually located in a different one) do you want us in that situation to add two of the same planet with the only difference being their region field?

Updated to fit Unknown Regions. I've set it to go by Chaos map rather than strictly canon for simplicity sake, as wild space space/outer rim actually stretches and intermingles all over the place of Zone 3.

Let me know if you want this changed, however.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has volunteered to help so far. This would have been an astronomical undertaking for a single person, and you all helped ensure we can make something happen sooner, for the benefit of everybody. We'll fill in the gaps with the region corrections and planet types. There are a couple things I noticed that will need to be resolved, though.
  • Input missing planet types
  • Missing coordinate data
  • Planet name formatting incorrect (should be all caps, with corresponding link)
  • Almost all new planets have incorrect code
We're going to take care of the planet types, but if those of you who contributed to the index could go back and double check you've done these last three things and your part is uniform with the parts that have previously been completed, that'd help immensely.

I'll be assembling a central list of all the discrepancies you brought to my attention and will work with the proper people to seeing that they're remedied. If you notice something just give a shout and we'll endeavor to resolve it!

[member="Zeradias Mant"] I have peer reviewed and corrected most of the formatting issues, until I realized that after "Zygerria" (the last z), there were a number of planets added un-alphabetized, got sad, then gave up shortly after before going to bed ;n;

Still fixed a bunch till I noticed though, so that part is a little easier at least...

Done on my end. Several links custom planets I couldn’t find and some misspellings.

I will, however, notify you of these issues. Meantime, main objective is done.

Edit: this is for 6

[member="Zeradias Mant"] I've begun the process of alphabetizing the extra planets after Zygerria, and I've noticed that there is a double submission.

"Elshandruu Pica" and "Pica" both link to the same wookiepedia article for Elshandruu Pica. If they are the same entity, which one appears on the map? Elshandruu Pica or Pica?

In fact, it seems to be the case for a few of the planets listed after Zygerria are doubles. Echidna in particular is doubled, but there is a discrepancy on its coordinates. If someone could double check the coordinates for Echidna, it would be appreciated

I had the same thought when doing 6 (was in charge of it). I wanna say it’s the former, but for the sake of having the map pretty and not using too much space (it is a big word after all) I think Pica is short for its proper name.

And yeah, I’ll check on Echidna as it was in my region.
