March Capping Ceremony - Ren Edition

Welcome to this month's capping ceremony where we take characters we feel deserve a level up and give it to them.

I'm not one to miss an opportunity to talk about myself, so here goes...

A huge thanks to everyone who voted for me, to my agent and the wonderful production team without which this show could never have been made.

I'd like to thank everyone who has posted so far personally (but I'm too lazy to hit every mention button) but I'll single out [member="Valiens Nantaris"] (for starting this), to [member="Valessia Brentioch"] and [member="Rolf Amsel"] (because without this awesome Faction I wouldn't be on the boards at all) and to [member="Jorus Merrill"] (I saw what you did there!).

A huge congratulations to [member="Kaalia Voldaren"] - we seem to be blessed as a Faction with some awesome writers and I suspect I will have a littany of my Disciples queuing up to be Knights over the next month or two.

I accepted the Knight honour early for Kriel because I wanted to train Disciples and we lacked a steady source of teachers and wanted to fill the void. I vowed then to delay progression to Master until I had a significant story arc behind him.

So that puts me in a quandary. The Ren deserve their first Master and I'm honoured to be it. So I suspect I'll gladly accept the tag and write an epic solo thread that makes peace in my mind between the two opposing thoughts in my mind.

So now that I've woken up (And felt obligated to write sappy things, thanks [member="Kriel Firin"]), have a small wall of text.

When I created this character, my first one here at that, I aimed to write a story of someone trying to leave their past behind, someone torn between Light and Dark. The transition to full Dark side was an absolute blast to write, and I'm really honored to see people have enjoyed following along! Seeing that people I haven't really talked before know the character means a lot to me.

Some shoutouts to a few people for helping the character blossom:

[member="Ara Ren"]: Kaalia's best friend, and probably her worst influence. Keep it up, you're amazing.
[member="Connor Harrison"]: Threading with you has been a pleasure, and I hope we'll be doing so for quite some time to come. We still need a team name for Kaalia, Ara and Connor.
[member="Zmej Ren"]: You helped out a bunch when I first started here, and I really appreciate that. Teaming up with Veles and Isla Ashen on Kaeshana was amazing.
[member="Isla Ashen"]: Speaking of my fellow redhead, it wouldn't have been fair to not include you either. Kaeshana was, like I said, amazing, and I hope to see more of Cassie.
[member="Jaron Lesan"]: You're a busy guy, so the fact you were still willing to take in Kaalia as apprentice was really appreciated. The fact they have similar backstories really added to their dynamic and I hope to thread with you more in the future!
[member="Valessia Brentioch"]: Your contributions to the FO have been invaluable, and you're really nice to talk with. When is Ishana coming around again?
@FO Staff ([member="Rolf Amsel"], [member="Torian Pierce"], [member="Natasi Fortan"], [member="Samka Derith"], did I miss anyone?): Mad respect for keeping the faction running, you're the reason the FO is a fantastic environment with great people.
@FO Discord chat: I love all of you. The chat is insane and sometimes (Sometimes? That's a good one) a bit (Very) offensive, and I wouldn't want it any other way. Y'all be good.
