The silence over the skies of Selvaris were broken by the dual sounds of transport shuttles entering the atmosphere side by side until they reached a fixed pointe, where they then split and veered off in different directions. Each transport held only one precious cargo, a Sith Acolyte. Today would mark the start of the first match in the Acolyte Tournament that was being held in select worlds by the One Sith.
In preparation for the tournament, several live feed cameras had been placed around a 5 mile radius so all the Sith Lords and Sith Ladies, including the Dark Lord himself, could watch the event. To ensure no action was lost, two transport shuttles would fly around the area with a trained holovid crew on board.
The shuttles landed at an undisclosed distance from one another, forcing the two combatants to work toward one another. As an added bonus, and at the request of the Dark Lord, several traps were set up to test the skills of the Acolytes.
A single flare shot skyward to alert the Acolytes the time had come...
OOC: You may start out however you want once you land...this is your thread and your time to shine. Have fun!!!

The Demon's Fist stepped off of the shuttle, immediately surveying the landscape around him. It was jungle. All of it. The forest was very dense, with little sunlight filtering through tree tops. Vi'kas had one automatic reaction; to reach high ground. Unfortunately, he could hardly see anything about the surrounding landscape, due to the thick canopy. He saw an exceptionally tall tree up ahead, so he began to climb.

Once he reached the top of the tree, what he saw didn't really surprise him. As a matter of fact, there were only two things he could see that weren't trees. There was an ocean really far off, and a small mountain a little ways away. He grinned. The mountain was taller than any tree he could see, so that would be where he needed to go. Just as he was about to set off, He saw the other shuttle raise up from the other side of the mountain, at an undeterminable distance. He raised his eyebrows. Perhaps the mountain was supposed to be a battleground of sorts? Either way, he raced across the treetops for the mountains, making sure his boots made no noise as they hit the tops of the trees.

It was times like these when X3-T5 would have come in handy. It was quite the shame that the Feral Sapith's companion had to stay on Ryloth with one of her family friends. Of course, this wouldn't cause any phasing. K'sara was used to having to do intel missions alone. K'sara would look at the trees around her and sigh. The thick brush was more than displeasing, of course burning it would kill the moment as well. She used Force Jump to clear trees by jumping from branch to branch, wanting to have some idea of where the middle ground may be. She saw a krag and an ocean. The water was on her six while the rocky formation was at her twelve, and she assumed that the mountain would be her destination.

Of course to keep herself "hidden", K'sara would move down toward the lower, thicker branches of the arboreal scene, and skip across each one until she reached her destination, the mountain. About ten minutes later, she managed to get to the mountain, and stopped to get a quick drink of her cantine and a couple munches of flame cooked proteins that she saved in case of needing to replenish her strength for a moment. After her snack, she made her way up the mesa to the flat arena looking scenery.

@Vi'kas Mirtis

After a few minutes, Vi'kas finally reached the mountain. Before climbing it, he kneeled down on a small surface he had managed to find. He closed his mind, and began to use force sight. He had used the ability ever since he was small, since he was a Miraluka. He examined the mountain, looking for a good vantage point. However, he saw something else. His opponent had managed to reach the mountain before he did, which upset him. After chiding himself for being too slow, he set out to look for her.

It didn't take long for Vi'kas to find his quarry. She was climbing up the mountain, trying to get to the flat area on top. He wouldn't let that happen. The young assassin waited until the Twi'lek had stepped on a lone rock, and put all her weight on it for support. Then, he used telekinesis to pull the foothold out from under her. As insurance, he pulled down another medium-sized rock on her from above, simultaneously using the force to execute a long jump to the top. Though he did have to take a few quick breaks, due to this being his first time doing such a jump.

K'sara made quick trying to get up to the top, soon feeling her footing become shoddy. The rock beneath her right foot came loose, and she nearly fell. However, quick thinking wouldn't allow her to die without maiming her enemy first. She was quick to rotate her body and use Force Pull to bend a tree to her, then catching it and using it as a spring to Jump to the top of the mesa. She was quickly angered by what she sensed of the male.... A Miraluka. And by sense, she couldn't see for anything. She was extremely visually impaired. Her master from the past was a Miraluka and she was slain in front of her. Her hood came up as her eyeband came down to shield her eyes. It would be harder to pull tricks on someone's mind when they couldn't see. Her ability to sense was rather strong, if he were able to mask his signature, he would have a hard time keeping her from sensing it nonetheless.

"Defeating you... Will be a testament to my old master...." Feral Sapith said, her anger radiating strong enough to where her voice was a mere hush. Her hand struck out, and she focused her power toward her opponent. The power would seem to be the start of Force Lightning, but would turn out to be Force Stun. To make her powers flow stronger, she moved her free hand to her xonolite saberstaff, and equipped it, allowing the meditation crystal within to clear her mind of any distractions.

Vi'kas landed on the flat top, black-purple lightsaber drawn. The flat blade hummed as his opponent landed roughly ten feet in front of him. He grinned as his opponent talked smack and attempted to stun him. His willpower was strong, amplified by his mental abilities. He shrugged off this attack and spoke, "Your master would be ashamed of you, turning Sith and all. I didn't even know your master, but can already tell you are a shame to their legacy. Go home, Twi'lek scum. The only thing your kind will ever be good for is slavery, especially a worthless cripple like yourself." He formed a loose fist, using a weak force choke on his opponent. The attack wasn't meant to inflict pain as much as it was meant to anger his enemy. "Look at you," he mocked, "Dangling helplessly, life being squeezed out of you. Your master is laughing at you right now, I can feel it."

As she was choked, she would take from the ground and her body would hang. It was weak, merely a tickle. She held her breath held her composure, then exhaled. Her body soon seemed limp as she smirked and licked her lips. If he expected any effectiveness from this he was mistaken. A pale air accumulated around her hands, her smile becoming darker. A moment later, she flung her arms forth and Pushed him away, freeing herself from Choke. She clicked on the frontal port of the saberstaff and a keen, long beam of silvery white light emitted with a loud hum accompanied by a soft crackling.

"You assume much of your words. You feel like they should anger me. You are wrong. My master wouldn't be ashamed of me. I've been exacting revenge on the Jedi to be sure that fewer have to suffer losing one they hold beloved. My master was betrayed by the Jedi, and in turn I get stronger to destroy their worthless Order. Do not speak of things you know nothing of." She smiled and allowed herself to launch another, stronger Push at her opponent, attempting to throw him off the edge.

As a practitioner of Ataru, Vi'kas wouldn't easily be thrown off balance. The push was strong, yes. But he was stronger. As he went airborne, he sheathed his lightsaber. As he began to fall, he grabbed on to the ledge of cliff, and quickly sprung back up. He again ignited his unique lightsaber twirling the blade in his hand.

He smiled. His opponent tried to deny it, but he could feel that the seed of rage had been planted. Now, he just had to nurture it. "I understand people better than most, and I know you are wrong. Your master may have been killed by the Jedi, but all in good reason, no? Your master did something wrong, and the Jedi gave the punishment. Were they wrong, or was your master. Don't be clouded by your feelings, see the obvious truth." He said this in a reasonable tone, as he did speak the truth, whether she accepted it as such or not.

She shut him out, knowing that he was trying to get under her skin. The rear port was soon ignites with a loud hiss and a crackling just as the front had. Her stance had changed, and her body had seemed to become taller. She shut her mind out to the world and sensed only his energy. She could feel herself become peaceful, there was nothing that she would let get to her. Whether or not this angered her was beside the point. She was better than him. She could feel it. While he continued his banter, she was already moving forward. Channeling her current anger about an inch away from her fingertips, crackling of lightning could be heard and they seemed to grow stronger, her meditation was doing its job well. "I don't know or care what you're going on about.... But know this. Nothing will stops from winning this fight."

With that said, her left arm struck out and a concentrated bolt of lightning flowed at her opponent, and with her right hand, she focused on disarming her opponent. She focused on both and kept trying to use Force Pull to steal his saber away. She was confident in her ability. But not too confident as she knew he could one up her on this, but he would have to make a sacrifice.

Vi'kas angled his flat blade to deflect the lightning back his opponent. He could feel her rage withing the lightning, and used it to his advantage. Using Vaapad, he absorbed the rage from her blast, concentrating it to give him power. As she began to pull on his blade, he used this strength to resist the pull. With her own lightning deflect back at her body and electrocuting her, he doubted she would keep it up much longer. In the meantime, he just absorbed her anger to I power himself, giving him the strength to resist her attacks. "Is that all you've got, slave? Channel your rage, you Jedi!" He said the last word with a mocking tone, labeling her as one and the same as those whom slayed her former master.

(Trap time!)

Even as the two acolytes began a tug of war and the banter of ages, Taeli was observing the fight from above and keeping track of their actions. It did seem like they weren't really paying attention to their surroundings. Understandable, they were on a mountain after all. A mountain on a Vongformed world. A mountain on a Vongformed world that the Sith made sure was filled with all kinds of fun toys and traps.

A small underground passage contained a group of three grutchin in a cage. A cage that Taeli unlocked now, the top sliding open and the grutchin launching up to chew through the mountain up to where the dueling pair were engaged their battle of wills. Let's see how they deal with something that loves to eat things a lot.

In all honesty, the lightning hurt, and it hurt a lot, but she wasn't going to let some meat head get the best of her. She growled and lifted her saber, the Telgorn Jolt Cell Mark 1 interacted with the lightning and the stasis field around the lightsaber beam only seemed to get stronger. She released the pull at the right moment however, and let his own strength get the better of him, His resistance would cause him to stumble back a little. Whish would also cause him to lose focus on the casting of Force Lightning. "Shock was a mere distraction, filthy maggot. You're about as putrid as a Hutt, ugly as a mynoch, annoying as a womp rat.... You're lucky there is no killing in this, or a meat head like yourself would be dead by now." she felt the ground shake beneath them, it was her time to put her powers to the test, her time to show that she has grown to be worthy of Lord Ferus. Her left hand struck out and caught the male's ankle with the Force, all of her pent up rage and remorse had moved into the ability. It was Force Grip. She stepped backward and smiled, pulling him near her.

A soft cackle left her lips, she pulled him closer, leaving him dangling helpless over where the grutchin would push out from. "Concede or fall prey to whatever is coming up here to play with a miserable pawn like you. You think I am a slave. WHO IS THE ONE DANGLING BY HIS ANKLE LIKE A HELPLESS BRAT?!" While this was happening, K'sara kept her lightsaber ready in case he managed to free himself or strike at her.

Vi'kas laughed as she tried to defeat him. How cute. He felt the mind of the lead Grutchin, burrowing through the ground. Using telekinesis, he vibrated the ground behind his opponent, causing the creatures to change direction and head that way. A few moments later, the insectisoids emerged right behind his adversary. He continued to draw off her rage, increasing his power greatly. He used part of this power to shatter her grip on him, and he landed on the ground, on all fours. He did a backflip across the rock, landing back in the place he was before. He sent more lightning her way, grinning. She could not deflect the lightning and fight the Grutchin all at once.

Who said anything about fighting on two fronts? She was laughing the entire time, even when her Grip was broken. Her plan may have failed, but she still had many pouches in her bag of tricks. As the lightning soared at her, she smiled. The odds of this happening went with her plans. She dropped to her stomach, and use Push to knock him onto his back with the blast of kinetic energy that would hit him. The Grutchins shrieked and burned up from the lightning that hit them. She realized what was happening and started to completely relax herself. Her anger, and hatred were empowering him. She didn't know if it were too late, however. "Enough with the powers, and let us see what you have in blade skill. Your powers still need more drive and passion behind them. You literally have no purpose behind your attacks." Her body was loose. This pleased her. The more power her opponent's body stored up, the more tense and heavy he became.

"Come at me, bantha poodoo!" Feral Sapith remarked and stood, allowing herself to get into a three limb crouch with her saberstaff pulled behind her.

Instead of coming at her, Vi'kas saw a better opportunity. Her arm was behind her back, not a smart moved. He used telekinesis to hold her body totally still, as he had much Vaapad power amassed within him still. Then, as she was planted, he pulled her arm further behind her back, much further than it should bend. Even from across the clearing, he still heard her arm pop. Without giving her time to rest her injured arm, he rushed forward.

She bit her tongue and let the pain fuel her, her bummed arm dropped the lightsaber and the hilt hit the ground and deactivated. While he charged, the adrenaline allowed her to move out of the way, with her saber in her left hand and use her momentum to push her arm into place. She got up and smirked at him. As he moved over the area where the earth was eaten close to the surface, she combined Force Push and Force Shock, and slammed it at the weak earth, barely out of reach to be "absorbed". Of course the ground caved in and he would fall toward he bottom. Whether or not he would get back up was a different story.

To make sure he wouldn't die. She used Force Grip once more and caught his ankle again, letting him hang in the hole. "Are you done yet little boy, or do you want more?" She asked this as she used her focus to move him and slam him back and forth into the earthen structure of the krag.

Vi'kas raised his arms to minimalize the damage done to him. As he protected his head, he concentrated on breaking the grip. After a moment, he managed to achieve this. He stabbed his now-active saber into the side wall to prevent a long fall but slowly began to slide down. He took a second to gather himself, then jumped from wall to wall until he managed to make his way back up. He grimaced, as it made his legs sore. He then returned the favor, dragging his opponent into the hole by the ankle. He let he dangle there for a second, then used force push to blast her down the hole. He doubted her impact on the bottom would kill a force-user like her, probably just maim.

She laughed and used pull on him, trying to get him to fall down with her. Whether or not it worked was up to circumstance. Meanwhile, she managed to flip her body to where she would "sky dive" down into the hole and when the ground neared she slowly motioned her body to land on her feet, and while it hurt and her legs ached, she rose to a stand without much issue. She took a moment to regather herself. Once she did, she launched herself toward the sides of the hole she fell in, and sprung into the opening made by the grutchins earlier she quickly crawled from the hole and out to the mountain, dusting herself off. She was fairly exhausted.

Vi'kas sighed. He was tired of this physically and mentally draining exchange. All and all, neither of them had gotten anywhere. He did not particularly feel like seeing who would drop first, so he pointed his ignited lightsaber at his opponent, ready to fight her head-to-head.

He got into an aggressive combat stance, preparing to attack. His willpower and drive to win was nearly unbelievable; he would not lose. This was his first real Sith challenge, and he would not fail. He emptied himself of all emotion, and channeled it into energy. Then, he ran forward, preparing to engage his opponent.

Her opponent had charged at her, seeming to use an aggressive lightsaber form, possibly Ataru. She decided it would be best to get him to wear himself out she moved forward about ten short paces and held the saber staff in a frontal guard the top end ignited and crackling. She focused her energy into her "vision", and attempted to sense his moves. This would be a battle of willpower, and a long one at that.
