Match #1 Feral Sapith (K'sara) vs. Vi'kas Mirtis (Selvaris)

It seemed his opponent liked defense. Very well, then. He moved his blade to connect it with here, seemingly about to have his blade blocked. However, he changed his attack at the last second.

He had had a good amount of time to read before he had got a master, and he had read a lot. He had read up on Trakata quite a bit, and had even practiced it a bit. Now was his time to test it out.

He twisted his body to the side, just in case she wanted to use her lower blade. He simultaneously hit the dual-phase button on his saber, and his blade "passed" right by hers. He them tapped the Vuitton again, just as he had practiced. The blade again reached full length, ready to strike. The entire time, he used the force to Augement his speed, and in addition, used the force to slightly pull her to his blade. It wasn't much, but it's do.

His blade was now only a couple of inches from her upper abdomen, still traveling at lightning-fast force augemented speeds. He was also using telekinesis to bring her towards his blade, but the main purpose it would serve was to prevent her from avoiding the blow. The entire move didn't take much force ability, just the knowledge on how to correctly employ it.

She felt the pressure of air between them shift. And within a split second, waiting for him to take his weapon, she moved her left hand away from the hilt and sent a weak blast of Force Push, knowing that at his position and velocity, he was doomed to feel more than a weak burst and avoidance would be practically impossible, unless he turned himself into the Force himself. There was no aggression or negative emotion to the blast, but the burst itself would feel like he got hit with a blunt spearhead. She would position herself once more then activate Force Speed. Allowing her to move as fast, if not slightly faster than her opponent.

She kept her eyes peeled though, he only slowed his attack and at this moment. She was able to roll to the side to avoid the telekinesis, while she herself activated the lower beam and the stasis field around it roared to life. She hade just avoided an impailing, her body thanking her for moving when she did. Though, her legs had moved on their own. Static once more went an inch above her fingertips, this time it was white instead of faint blue. She struck her hand out and launched a powerful Force Stun at him, should it work, he would be completely vulnerable to her will for a few moments.

(It's the time again, let's spin the trap wheel and see what we get!)

Taeli smiled at how well the acolytes had dealt with the grutchin and they were finally starting to engage each. She suspected they were starting to get tired, but it was time to change the nature of the game again.

"And activating shield emitters, let's see how they do with a small shifting maze to navigate," she said, smiling even more as she pressed the commands on her console. From her ship, several shield emitters flew down and embedded themselves into the ground around the mountain top. Once done, shields erupted in a random pattern that would separate the combatants for a time, the shields shifting and moving about so the maze would remain random. Would definitely make for a more mobile fight, and perhaps longer if they both had energy left, as the maze would force them to engage, disengage, and repeat.

"Have fun kids," she laughed.

Vi'kas kneeled on the ground, stun threatening to envelope him entirely. He concentrated on working from the inside out, finally managing to expunge the ability from him. As he did this, he heard thudding noises all around him. As he opened his eyes, he realized a maze of sorts had been projected.

Adapt and overcome, wise words indeed. He used the force to see the maze from above, trying to map it out. Unfortunately, it was always shifting. He used the force to instead see through the shields, seeing where they would lead. He picked up his opponent's heat sig in the distance. He put his second lightsaber in his hand, being sure to conceal it so she couldn't see. Then, he made his way through the maze, approaching his quarry.

No one said they had to stay in one spot. K'sara managed to get to her feet as the shield behind her dissipated and she pushed herself to slide down the mountain slope and spring into a tree. "Good luck besting me in my natural habitat." She would mumble as she made her way into the forest. She moved into to a group of shrubs and stayed there, getting another drink of water from her flask. Nature relaxed her, cleared her mind. If he manages to get to her, he would have a hard time keeping up.

Vi'kas watched her as she jumped off of the mountain. Instead of immediately following her, he first used his saber to cut a few of the shield from the ground, carrying them on his back. He continued using the force to track her into the forest. He waited for the nearest wall to deactivate, and also slid down to crag. He switched on the thermal tracker in his eyes, scanning the forest. He saw a faint sig in the distance, so he hopped into a tree. He crept silently until he was right above the target area then confirmed that she was there. He used the force to effectively position the four shields he had taken, then catapulted them into their positions around the bush she was in. The effort had tired him, but it was worth it. She was effectively trapped within the field, and he jumped in with her.

Without giving her a chance to react, he swung his saber at her in a diagonal blow.

K'sara had a minor play of precognition before the moment had occurred. She figured her opponent had thought that she would use her lightsaber to parry, but instead, she reached into her cleavage and drew the vibroknife from its sheath, catching the lightsaber with its cortosis blade. She remembered her first encounter with her cortosis maniac master who prided himself on the metal. At the same instance that the knife struck the opponent's blade, her reflexes aimed toward the respective wrist while activating the bottom blade, she had another vision, no... She felt a minor energy presence in his alternate arm. He was hiding something, but what, she didn't know. If the blade connects with his wrist, he would lose his hand, as well as get sent into convulsions from the static field of the Telgorn Jolt Cell in her hilt. If she missed a loud pop would sound and his arm would get electrical burns. Of course with the weapon motion, she would rotate her body in an attempt to weave behind him. He wouldn't escape her prowess.

Vi'kas was surprised by the hidden knife, but it hadn't been totally unexpected. One of the first lessons he had been thought in life was to expect anything, a lesson he appreciated well. As his blade deactivated, the momentum would still bring her wrist a little furter than the blade emitter, whether she liked it or not. Now was the time for one of his favorite things: martial arts.

He flicked his wrist, and his Vong fighting claws emerged from his knuckles, causing him a considerable amount of pain. At this point, his opponent's hand was just too close to avoid the blow. His armor-puncturing claws went right through her wrist, severing her tendons and bones. With another flick of his wrist, her hand departed from the rest of her arm. With his other hand, he activated his green saber, blocking the saber staff that was now ignited. After de-handing his opponent, he moved for a kick at their Achilles' tendon.

She cried out from her hand ripping off, blood spurting on the ground and his garb. She wouldn't let it stop her though. Her body moved back before his kick could connect, and she ran toward the shields. The claws had surprised her, but what she would do, very well could decide the battle. She then made a right turn and started to run around the perimeter. She used Shock to cauterize the wound. The top of her lightsaber shut off, and she put on a face of distress.

Vi'kas gingerly walked over to where his lightsaber had fallen, and picked it up He opted not to put it back onto his belt, as he was still in a combat situation. He walked out of an opening in the force field, and faced his opponent. She had managed to cauterize the wound, though she had lost a considerable amount of blood (Due to her arteries being severed.) He could tell just from looking at her that she was beginning to feel exhausted. She had used the force extensively, as well as had been moving around a lot. Combined with the loss of blood, it would begin to effect her body. He too was tired, but not as much as she. he had opted to to exert himself as much, and had used the force only a few times, each not consuming too much strength. Either way, they were both beginning to feel the effects of the fight.

He sighed, then spoke, "I suppose you will deny my attempts at an offer, but I will speak anyways. You are not much of a condition to fight me, so I'm offering you a chance to concede. This is a no-kill match, but accidents happen, especially when someone is not in much of a fighting condition. I would just like to warn you of this, and to let you know that death is now a very real possibility." He made sure to continue to be alert, in case she decided to suddenly attack him, or something similar to that. One could never be too careful, after all.

"A true Sith will not run!" She started to get loud. And while she was exhausted, she wouldn't concede. "If this fight ends, it will be through third party INTERFERENCE!!!!!" As she yelled, her voice projected like an amped up movie theater speaker during a Die Hard movie. She progressive got louder, trying to deafen him, and before he could think to choke her to silence her shrieking, static formed about an inch away from her fingertips and she threw a Force Shock into the Force Scream, not only increasing its speed and power, but also amplifying the Scream. With this, the trees snapped beside and behind him. Now it was up to him to decide to give up, if he gave up, she would use her last bit of energy to Pull him to safety, but it would have to be a sincere surrender. At the velocity the Shock was moving, he would need a true miracle to avoid damage. Lightning was jumping all over the least needed area's of his body, she hit herself in the chest with her stub arm and raised her pitch once more.

Vi'kas raised his saber as the scream began. Not that it would do anything against the noise, but out of instinct. Her sheer anger gave his Vaapad immense power, as nothing generated rage like a scream. He concentrated this into his own power, preparing to attack. Then came the lightning.

His eyes widened as the electricity hit him. After a few seconds of this, he managed to get his green saber into deflecting position. He knew the amount of power it took to perform this power was very large, and she would most like pass out after performing it. He concentrated on using some of the force to protect him from falling trees, as well as attempt to muffle the scream. She was trying to hurt him, but her rage only empowered him. He added this power to the deflected lightning, making it highly amplified in power. He deflected the lightning back at her, K'sara's lightsaber only having the bottom blade activated. It would take her a second to twist her remaining arm in order to block his strike. Even then, with the blast so powerful from being amplified, he doubted she could block herself from the lightning one-handed (and exhausted), much less maintain the lightning. The blast was powerful, and even temporary exposure could jolt the saber from her hand. As this occurred, he used telekinesis to begin pulling surrounding trees down on top of her.

She smirked, accounting for the deflecting of her lightning. In fact it pulled into her final act. With the trees heading at her she caught the lightning with the blade of the saber and halted the scream. The catching would take a bit of a toll on her body, but now her saber was near supercharge. The excess bolt would be dodged and let go to the tree at her six, nearly instantly exploding. She bolted, just barely dodging the trees and soon ending in a massively powerful spin slash toward his legs and abdomen in a diagonal cut. It didn't matter what he did with a standard blocking. His energy beam would dissipate on contact. No lightsaber could stay active from the electric charge that would hit it. The Telgorn Jolt Cell Mark I now had enough power to be considered a Mark III. The static field itself would put him in a coma if it touched him. Either way, all her energy was put into this last powerstrike. The match would be decided at this exact moment.

As she charged him, he saw her lightsaber crackle with energy. He reckoned the amount of energy it had just absorbed had charged the blade to its max, almost to its limit. He concentrated a bolt of lightning at the saber's large hilt. It was an easy target, since it was long (for a lightsaber) He figured this would charge the saber beyond its capacity, and cause it to explode. He did a flip over his opponent using force speed, slashing at her exposed back with his emerald-green saber. He completed the move by landing behind her, as he heard an explosion from behind him.

Instead of it hitting the hilt, however, it hit her, and was coupled with the hit in he back with the lightsaber. From there she fell, motionless and barely breathing. Her lightsaber was undamaged, but shut off with a hiss snap. "Good... Job....." She said and passed out, needing to see a kolto tank as soon as possible.

[ooc: in the wise words of the Mandalorian battlemaster in KotOR 2: "He is the clear and honorable victor."

Vi'kas turned around to view his fallen opponent. He regarded her with respect; she had been a worthy adversary. His cybernetic eyes scanned her body, searching for her vital signs. They soon got her heartbeat on record. He frowned, she had gone into some sort of unconscious state, her body shuddering. He pulled out his medpack and wrapped the stump of her arm, and covered it in a layer of Bacta. According to his scanners, she was ok, but not for long. He flipped her unconscious body over his shoulder, and began to run up the mountain. The shuttles would need somewhere clear to land, and the top of the crag would be perfect.

With his unconscious opponent over his shoulder, he ran to the top of the mountain, and laid her down up there. He used the zooming function in his eyes to view any incoming shuttles.

(Good job to both of you)

Taeli smiled as she uncloaked her Sicarius-class Infiltrator and set it down upon the mountain top. Lowering the ramp, she gestured for Vi'kas to bring the girl on board and once that was done, she smiled a bit as she went about stabilizing the female's injuries.

"Impressive bout, Acolyte," she said aloud, placing bacta paste on the wounds before setting several bandages over them. "You have certainly proven yourself worthy of ascending a bit higher in the pecking order among our . . . participants. She won't forget this duel anytime soon, but she will be . . . stronger for it."

Looking at the stump where her hand had been, Taeli went about making sure that was clean and would be suitable for a prosthetic or Vong biot, whichever the girl decided to replace her lost hand with.
