Material Mining

In Umbris Potestas Est
@Ra'a'mah

"I haven't witnessed the effects of Force Light on alchemized material myself. I assume you have firsthand experience - does it affect the structure of the metal?" She thought for a moment. "Oh yes, this definitely going to go on the hull of the Ablution. That ship is going to become a straight-up channeler of Dark Side energy - in concert with becoming a destroyer of, well... Star Destroyers." She thought for a moment. "I believe this ship is capable of always having 3, usually having 4, and sometimes having 5 super-heavy beam cannons aimed at an enemy vessel."

She savored the thought of it cleaving through enemy ships.

"Let me just say it destroys the item that was alchemized."

It was a very simple statement, but there was a ton of weight behind the tone. With the word destroys, there was emphasis on that. Most went out with a blinding flash of light and might even explode, causing harm to the person using that item.

"Just hope nobody decides to blast you with a wall of light like happened on Mirial. I'm glad this will work for what you want it for though. I personally don't have use of it for ship. If there is so much, maybe I can think of something. Knives or maybe some armor."

There were a few things she thought of, but wasn't sure if Vanessa could make them or not. She knew she couldn't on her own with that knowledge.

"How unfortunate. But I'm sure there are some artifacts immune to it." She said. "If there weren't, all the ancient Sith artifacts that had ever been in the hands of the Jedi would be nothing but dust." She sighed. "The good thing about Force Light is that it can't be applied to an entire ship. At least, not to my knowledge. Not to mention you can just shoot the person using it. As for knives or armor - please, do so if you wish."

After all, there was plenty of Star Forge metal to go around.

"It's possible, but from what I know of alchemized items, they are all susceptible to being at least weakened by a blast of Force Light. I highly doubt all those artifacts were exposed to Force Light. That skill alone wouldn't be applied to a whole ship, but a wall of light could be easily. Look at Mirial. Think along the lines of a Though Bomb. It would have the same sort of destruction."

Same as a Thought Bomb, the Wall of Light required more than one person to use it. All focusing on the casting of the skill.

"Yes, if you're close enough to the person that is casting the Force Light and they aren't being protected by anything."

Being invited to take some of the ingots, Ra smiled slightly, nodded and picked up what she thought she would need to make a couple new knives for herself. Now she would just need to find somebody able to work with the metal and make them for her.

"We'll see." She responded. "I suppose it's not going to be easy to cast when five super-heavy beam cannons are being fired at the caster." The facility was in place. The testing of the metal had proven to be successful. There was enough of it here to, ironically enough, make a fleet. Maybe several. She thought back to the Star Forge's original purpose - to make fleets. How ironic that it would actually fulfill its purpose, even destroyed and rendered into rubble as it was. Once she and Ra had left, more mining facilities would soon be established on the ring. It would be a long journey to ship this material over to the Caridan shipyards, but Vanessa was certain that the rewards of having such a corrupt material available for use by her corporation would benefit her - and the Sith - for a long time to come.

The shuttle left - a beacon was planted at the initial mining station for other transports to follow, to land the prefabricated mining facilities on the ring so mining could begin as soon as possible. The first shipments would be sent to Carida soon - she had refitting to do on the Ablution in order to bring it back up to par. All in all, this was quite a productive cooperative effort with Ra.

Perhaps she needed to work with other Sith more often.
