Objective 1: The Feast!
Bois: Lark Lark & Felix Astermo Felix Astermo
Post: 2

"And so I took the bastard and I buried my Axe in his chest! Then the armies of the One Sith charged through Balmorra leaving nothing of the Old Republic!"

The Ancient Sith stood with one knee above the chair and the other above the table with his gold and crystal vase up high. The vase had jewlery, gold lining and chromium inside, it was filled with blood red wine mixed with berries and fruits from Cathar itself. Below him meats and food directly from the Imperial Bread Basket that was Mythos City.

He brought enough for everyone and their families too, an overabundance of food and drink. Faces came to view, mainly one familiar one and one Sith Imperial warrior by the looks of it already covered in blood, fresh blood.

"And that's what I mean gents and lasses! Look at that! I havent even finished my drink but he finished his dinner!"

A cheer and roar of the crowd followed as Mythos gestured to Sarrius and raised his cup high, in unison many of those present would join. Mythos kicked the man next to him, hard in the head. The songsteel boot making contact with the skull so hard he was certain it broke his skull on impact.

"Free chair here brother! Recently vacated!"

A glimmer of pure malice in his orange eyes, the Pureblood stared down the Neo-Mandalorian Loyalist who dared interrupt the festivities, a predatory smile beginning to overtake his features as his fingers glided towards the dagger on his hip. More bark than bite, the man gulped, swiftly scurrying off to the jeers of his peers. A shame, really, but there would be others in need of killing. There always were, when the Sith seized a world.

Hearing the voice of the shiny Sith, he raised his own cup in greeting before downing the contents. Completely ignoring the sprawled form of the violently displaced reveller, he moved to join him, the merest twitch of his head serving, in this place of bravado, to relay that he acknowledged the golden Lord's superior mastery of the Force. "Thank you, brother Sith."

Noticing, as if for the first time, the fool sentry's blood upon his clothing, he smiled viciously. "Nothing like a bit of bloodshed before a good feast!" Laughing merrily, he continued. "It reminds me of the time before my long slumber - the Old Empire, to you - conquest and celebration hand in hand, with spoils of war for all!"

She merely giggled like a school girl at the enthusiasm of her sister in the task they have been given as she with the black guard in tow landed at the station she heard the voice of her Carnifex speak out and as it has been since the beginning of her life since she could hold a wield a blade she will carry it out and enjoy every moment of it. The task sounded simple enough find any traps and bombs whilst annihilating Mandalorians who knows perhaps she can bring a few trophies from their corpses back with her after this is done. She kept behind her little sister as she charged through the corridor to where Father and one of her mothers stood and dispatched their foes.

She had the guard assist in looking for any traps or bombs that could destroy the station and to destroy anyone they come across that isn't the sith forces as she kept with Raya though why they decided to let two of the kids run on their own is another story but she didn't mind the freedom she enjoyed flaying and crushing things sadly she couldn't do that too much here cause father wanted the station intact but she'll make it work.

Objective II: Drive Yards

The fighting had continued to spread throughout the yards, the Empire making advances on all fronts against an enemy that was far too under-equipped and ill-prepared for the coordination of battle-hardened soldiers. Methodically, the soldiers of the Emperor cleared every hallway, breached rooms, and dispatches enemies with ruthless efficiency. The Emperor led the charge against the most entrenched pockets of resistance, launching into a vicious tirade of power and ferocity. Bodies were broken, crushed, and dissected by the Dark Side of the Force wielded by the Emperor and his warriors.
Carnifex wrenched his weapon free from the torso of another Mandalorian, leaving a smoking hole where the blade had passed in one side and out the other. Blaster fire raked the walls around him as another pair trained their weapons on him, only for their blasters to fly into the air and collapse into broken metal. They were then yanked forward by their armor, pulled into striking distance and quickly murdered.
"An ill-fitting challenge." remarked the Emperor as he walked over the corpses, staring out over the wider drive yard from the command viewport. He pressed a button on the console, opening a line with the rest of his forces. "Report."
"The battle goes well, Supreme Excellency." one of the voices replied, "80% of the Drive Yards are under Sith-Imperial control." Similar confirmations of success came over the comm, a satisfied smile creeping across the Emperor's face as he basked in imminent victory.

IV: Blood Hunt

The two hunters shared a look before the gaping maw of the kiltik hive.

They both tensed as their feet dug into the soft earth, and then, they were off. Like before, Ucoc was quicker in the acceleration, but this time, Joycelyn used the Force to empower herself, and overtook the cathar. Darkness swallowed them up, only lit by beams of sunlight passing through the tunnels, and the stark red of Joycelyn's bloodshine blade.

In the darkness, they met a wall of screeches and scratches, and dark carapace. A smile spread over their lips as she allowed her aggressive urges to creep up through her mind. She remembered every cut, every claw, every bruise and insult, then wove it into a cloak of rage that covered all empathy, numbed all pain, released all inhibitions and told her only one thing mattered: Violence.

The spear ripped through carapace and green flesh as legs, heads, wings, and pincers scattered like shattered glass under the onslaught of spear and claw. With a wicked laugh, she raised her weapon up high. It crackled with energy which coalesced, then exploded in a rain of blue lightning. The arcs of bright blue slashed through the air with clap, seeking carapace and flesh to scorch and crack.

Ucoc stopped and cowered himself as the arcs scattered around him, and despite all his bloodlust, he too was bound to behold the power of the dark side.

Launched forward, Gunnr let the efficiency of the Sith forces overwhelm and overtake the thin resistance. In her comm she heard Raya and Vandra go round the other way. She stopped to lean back against a corridor wall, as her Koemi dispatched another woeful combatant. The sounds of the battle surged in her ears, combining with the thud in her ribcage. There was a visceral nature to battle unencumbered with such accoutrements as helms and HUD's. Here, cleansing Cathar of the offshoot Mandalorian rabble, Gunnr allowed the thrill to soak into her skin. The troops swept through, the girls ensuring any traps and bombs were shaken off. Gunnr reached for Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex 's shoulder.

"Empress-Consort, here!" A soldier barked from clearing a side room, nothing but an engineering closet. She ran in, the supplies scattered as two jumpsuited bodies laid tangled in death, armour weave charred. The Bladesman kicked a scorched panel in the back wall, which creaked along the side. Nodding the Bladesman to the side, Gunnr grabbed the side of the hastily erected wall and tugged. Creaking metal chittered along the floor as Gunnr used her sheer Epicanthix frame to yank the sheet metal free.

"Koe, th-" It clanged to the ground in a tangle, which echoed through the corridor. Lining the hidden half of room, green and black Clan colours adorned crates of supplies and half finished, abandoned projects. "The boar..."

Breath seized in her lungs, as the Panathan viewed the notorious Mandalorian boar of Clan Australis for the first time. Australis... The Clan which killed Myrcalla, who poisoned Gunnr's cousin from coming home to Panatha. A clang sounded behind her. Her shoulder jerked, hand grasping for her axe.

"Ma'am the explosives."

Her eyes blurred, the axe handle creaked in her hands. Green and black. The colours of pain and death. Breath struggle out of her lungs, as if the armour on her massive frame was crushing at her ribcage.

Teeth grit. Gunnr's breath came out in a roar. Her boots thundered against the floor as her axe rose. It had to be expunged, all of it. Gunnr drove her axe into the supply crate and its' motif. Up and again, a third time. A fourth. Her axe sliced through the timer mechanism of the device, and a shower of sparks stole across the room. She shouted in frustration, in a complex wealth of anger and temporary pain across her eyes.

“Baaahahahahaha!! Vandypand you complete me.” Raya put her fingers together in a heart, bouncing it over her collarbone. Vandra was a whirling whippet through the corridors, cutting down anything not completely Sith. Even a rubbish bin, with an odd animal sigil painted on. Throwing into their task, Raya charged in side rooms, cutting down anything she saw that so much as wiggled. Nope. No bombs. Nope.... something that looked like a bomb but wasn’t. Nope...

Skittering down the hall, the Echani-Epicanthix girl yelped and dove under a bulkhead at a burst of scatter fire. Three Armoured foes slung suppressive fire that kept Raya trapped.

“Yikes! Vandy!” Rocking onto her haunches, Raya sniffed in and reminded herself of a lifetime’s paltry capacity for calm. Deactivating her lightsaber, Raya let the force flow around her body until to outside eyes, Raya disappeared. From sight, sensors, from droid optics.

“Hey! Where’d she go?”
“Keep firing!”
“Switch to IR!”

Raya sucked in a breath and leapt over the bulkhead, taking the chance on her invisibility functioning through the fabled Mando armour sensors.

Her lightsaber activated in her hand only after she leapt behind the three armoured foes. She dropped her invisibility, not only because keeping it up was hard work.

“Hiya! I’m Raya!” The Zambrano daughter swung horizontally in a mass swing aimed for their waists below the edge of the Mandalorian chest plates.

“Three down, looks all clear here Emperor Da-aah!” Little did she see the fourth rush behind her. “... yipes!”

IV: Blood Hunt

When the bright, blue flashes of electric fury settled down, and the hive settled back into an inky black, cut only with the red glow of her bloodshine blade. Joycelyn looked at Ucoc. A smile danced on her lips as she twirled the spear and settled it under her armpit. Ucoc Ragh let his hands fall to his sides as he surveyed the corpses, twisted in agony and still smouldering.

"I had heard, but I admit I did not believe."

He started. Joycelyn looked down at her fingers, then at the cathar again.

"My mother once told me, the darkness is like fire." Her hand curled into a first. "Yes, it burns you at first, but when harnessed, you can do anything." She opened her hand and a blossom of fire bloomed in her palm, casting its orange light into the room. "But your mind must be like the crucible, strong enough to contain it."

They had come close as she spoke. Ucoc looked up at her, and Joycelyn looked into his brown eyes.

"Our elders say something similar, though with a far different conclusion." Joycelyn smiled "We can teach them."

She lifted her other hand, palm up as if she was giving him something. He looked at it, then up at her again, and took her hand.

Objective II: Drive Yards

And when Gunnr's anger would be spent upon the munitions, the Emperor was there at her side. His hand reached out to grasp her shoulder, squeezing reassuringly as he surveyed the carnage wrought around them. A piece yet remained that contained the majority of the Australis symbol, and it was this piece that the Emperor called into his hand. "You know this symbol well, sazil. It is the symbol of our enemies, the ones who would see all that we have wrought brought to ruin." Sparks jumped from the Emperor's fingers, igniting the pieces in his hand and causing the metal to melt and drip down onto the floor. "Those who wear this symbol can be shown no quarter, given no mercy, afforded no reprieve. Annihilation is the only vaccine."
He let the smoldering piece of metal fall to the floor with a tumultuous clatter, the boar symbol all but warped beyond recognition. To add emphasis to his words, he crushed what remained beneath the heel of his boot. “They will soon fall, just as all who stand against the Sith shall fall.

One of the Emperor’s soldiers rushed in shortly after, bringing forth news of the Empire’s operations. “Supreme Excellency, the enemy resistance is crumbling. The yards will be ours within the hour.

As was expected,” replied the Emperor, “Now leave us, I have much to discuss with the Empress-Consort.

Objective 1: The Siege
Post: 3

"Main group take two tanks, sweep up through the compound and breach the main building then move on the gates. Right split clean up the walls and secure the garages." Voi'Kryt ordered through the local comm, moving through the rank and file. The armor rolling out, flanked by Legionaires. There was fire being traded through the compound buildings, the first lines trying to pin down the marauders along the upper walkways as they pushed up.

"Lead Carnivore, trail on the ship deck and blast it. All groups watch out for debris fallout," Voi'Kryt added. The tank priming beside her through the haze of the blaster bolts. Rallying the sharpshooters from the escort, they pushed up behind the main assault. The pulse rang out over head from the tank and the explosion rocked the building. She wasn't going to risk the chance of any insurgent slipping through their fingers.

The 12th was an angry storm, unending in the face of the neo-crusaders. There was only so many places for either force to hide, their numbers forcing the Mandalorians off the walkways; sending them scuttling back inside. The tanks primed again and another two shots wrought a hole through the durasteel wall. The Legionaires poured in laying down the heat, starting a nasty game of cat and mouse through the halls.

Voi'Kryt pushed a hard objective, taking the service passage with a squad of hots shots. The alarms flashing lights distorted the long grey halls. Leaving the main sweep to the Major as she took her group up the levels; seeking the command post. The rouge pockets of Mandalorians turned the halls into a shooting range. Scoping the corners and several frags had been tossed out before storming through. The thicker the fighting grew, the closure they drew to the transparasteel dome. When they the insurgents fell silent and made to retreat. None of them fit the description of the Warlords and she had the wall in the next hall blown out from the armor below, blasting the remaining resistance out of hiding. What was left alive at least..were shot down with impunity.

When they were faced with the locked blast doors, Voi'Kryt weighed the options of a quick burst. Waiting for Reinforcements was out of the question..one look at the holo map on her wrist..they were still minutes behind them and the access panel was spitting sparks leaving them with no advance.

"Major push up one more floor, take the other side of the command center, double time-push them in to us," Voi'Kryt ordered. Staring at the doors, they shadowed the entry point and waited. They were close to surrounding them, explosions rocked the other half of the fortress and the noise of battle hailed the dome within minutes. When the blast doors opened, shadows fled out as smoke trailed them.

"Drop your arms, surrender now!" Lyra shouted. The first bird flushed out went down fighting, swinging a vibro knife that she parried with. Her squad descended upon them like a pack of rabid dogs, out numbering them two to one, rifles trailed on their t-visors. Among the Madalorians only one had the sense to raise their arms.

"Surrender or die Mando, it doesn't matter to me," she jeered at the man leading them. His armor was true Beskar and she dropped her rifle leaving it to her sling squaring up with him. He got the up, swiping the blade across the front panel of her armor, marring the durasteel. Her HUD warned her as alerts flashed over the screen, there was power damages.

Dropping low she activated the knife on her boot, snapping her leg, the thruster in her boot accelerating the kick. He had made his choice as his brothers in arms had. One stun blast lit the smoke up, and the rest clashed with the Warchiefs.. The vibro knife buried itself into his hip and the Mandalorian dropped to his knees, clutching at her boot and shoving her back. Voi'Kryt stumbled and ripped her leg from his side, blood coating her boots as she swung her blaster up; beating it across his helm and sending him sprawling. Planting her boot on his hand, she slowly crushed it. Leveling her Jackal up to his neck pulling the trigger. Within minutes they mopped up the remaining warlords, down one themselves. One weak placed pistol shot, what a shame..Shaking her head, she had expected better. They took only two of the five into custody. The rest had held on to the scraps of their honor; choosing death.

"General Irveric Tavlar Irveric Tavlar , we have them," Voi'Kryt reported.

Shaking breaths thrashed through Gunnr’s lungs. The axe clanged to the ground, Carnifex’s hand warm on her shoulder. She felt the radiant heat of Darth Carnifex’s presence in the Force, that hideous but noble Dark. The ignoble chill of cold Mandalorian metal puckered and popped. Fluctuated in his mighty hand as he burned and melted the crate.

The boar no more lingered in this space.

“I want every echo of the Mandalorians eradicated from this dock and station. No green and black, no sigils or signs. I want it scored off any surface or person down to the bone!” Her cheeks pulled at a wobble, a wave of her hand sending the last of the soldiers off. The door shunted closed with a definitive woosh and clank which echoed in Gunnr’s ears. She leaned her back into Carnifex’s chest, and let out a hissed sigh.

“I... I’m sorry, Koe. I lost my head for a moment. But only for one.” She scoffed and smiled weakly as her Koemi kicked and snuffed out the broken ash of the sigil with her boot.

“Annihilated.” She picked up her energy axe and held the weight of it in one hands. The heft. How easy to lift it was, mere minutes before, when the enemy was nebulous and firing back from behind a coward’s shell. “Were there not children, of my family’s blood? Must they too be sacrificed by association? Can none be salvaged?”

Just as Voi'kryt's detachment descended on the Mandalorian warlords ; Tavlar's armor engaged in a rampaging battle with the armored defense. Though each front was a far heave from regarding their victory as anything worth while against the throat crushing strength of the Sith-Imperial gauntlet tightening around Cathar. Each victory was an important one regardless ; The Mandalorians understood strength and little else. Though the Sith could've just as easily used unconventional means to scrape this fortress from the map, this method would've shored up a far more meaningful control of the populace.

Caught in the bottleneck of the main pathway to the door as Cataphract class repulsors fired down on the Mandalorian column in punishing turbo-laser volleys. Defeat was spelled immediately for the Mandalorians when they were met with a wall of heavy armor. Crimson and gold beams reigned down on the Beskar bandits. Both inside and out of the fortress there would be no avenue for a breakthrough, no means to seize the advantage in the assault.

One by one the Mandalorians were killed to the last man, though the assault costly on both sides the Sith had an endless font of manpower and ordinance to funnel into the engagement. Each Mandalorian snuffed out had no other to replace them in the battle whilst Tavlar drew from a large reserve, funneling more troops through the breach and more armor in the frontward assault as it was needed.

Not long after the Lady Colonel had seized the warlords the Imperial armored advance had broken through the front gate itself. The fortress not long after was able to be declared taken. Though the entirety of the defensive emplacements had been knocked out with many of the fortifications resorted to rubble, the Fortress was still upright and repairable ; if only with great cost and toil to be utilized in the following Sith-Imperial occupation.

The fate of the remaining Mandalorian warlords was far from generous. Having been given the means of an honorable death per the Mandalorian way there was little reprieve to be had from the characteristically even-handed battle commander. As much as he cared never to interact with the Sith wherever he could avoid it - he diverted the fate of the captured Generals to them.

The Beskar'gam of the fallen warriors were almost uniformly melted down save for the characteristic helmets, many claimed as war trophies as others were staked down as mile markers on the roadways surrounding the fortress. Impaled above banners clutching the Sith-Imperial seal it spelled the fate of any other Mando'a who pridefully carried on as guerrillas.

Objective I: Complete.

Sing Wise Norn! Keep Singing! Sing of Cathar! Sing of the Mandalorian's fall! Sing! SING!
The Mandalorians. A fighting people. A warrior people. A breed capable of going to war repeatedly over and over again and always put up a challenge to those that meet their phalanx. Clashing against the dark forms of their foes head-on with fervor and skill barely matched by others, they will fight again and will fight again, just as they have for millennia. And in those battles and wars of legend, they will continue to rely on their fervor and skill to bring them victory time and time immemorial.

But here, upon the plains of Cathar, this fervor and skill did not serve them sufficiently to defend their claimed lands. As the shadowed clouds rolled upon them like the waves of an ocean, they have fallen to a foe superior, a foe of magnitude, a foe beyond what meager rebellion they could stoke the flames of.

In spite of their brave efforts in the face of utter damnation and decimation, efforts that I have chronicled innumerable times in my records here within my hovel, they perish to the Empire, to the Sith, just as so many before them have in countless moments in time.

The conquerers of stars claim yet another planet, the metallic husk that housed the warlords falling to the assault; the drive yards captured and destroyed by the assault; the Neo-Mandalorian hope in their own beliefs and goals withered by the assault. I hold sympathy for the fallen of this conquest, built from the fact that in the histories, they will only be regarded as another meal for the Black Iron Tyrant and his hounds of war. Another gear for the endless machine of destruction.

Such as it is.

Such is has been.

Such as it always will be.
