Public Matters of Geonosian Diplomacy | The Restoration of Geonosis

She was not intimidated by the gathering of parties, nor their blustering, nor simmering arrogance. But Ilri could not help but feel a slight sensation of apprehension.

Seated with care besides the good Senator from Naboo, the Kiffar listened while the latest representatives made their appearances known, late but just in time. Listening to the young woman amend her previous error while simultaneously talking the Geonosian's ear, while others appealed to the Archduke's people's history and what they could provide to reinforce their glory days, she didn't miss the way his guards exchanged exasperated glances, as though finding such political affairs meaningless and time-consuming.

Ilri wouldn't be surprised if the entirety of the hives, with one thing in common, shared such grievance.

But for now, the Senator would hold her tongue, granting others to address their own 'sympathies' and offers to the good Archduke, before her turn. Patience was key, and she was in no hurry, Ilri's gaze sharpened with attention, as the game of politics in this brown-clustered room commenced.

Nova's eyes followed the motion of the Archduke's cane, but she didn't react to the reprimand. She stood firm, posture straight, her voice low but steady as she stepped forward to speak.

"No offense was meant, Archduke. I'm not here to insult your people or question what you've survived. That legacy speaks for itself. It is simply the nature of the galaxy that one either adapts, or is crushed.”

She folded her arms loosely, gaze level but not confrontational, before removing her helmet, popping the seal as her hair tumbles down.

She remained quiet as they moved to the sitting and discussion, and waited for Serina’s prattling to come to an end. Nova decided once more, she would try to negotiate.

"Archduke, the House of Ka didn't come all this way to posture or provoke. We came with purpose. There are vast resources buried in the Unknown Regions—rare ores, being just one of them."

A beat.

What did that damn manual say-

"We intend to extract them. Properly. Efficiently. But no endeavor like that happens in isolation."

She nodded toward him with subtle deference—just enough to show she knew whose hall she was standing in.

"We believe the Archduchy can benefit from what the House of Ka offers. We intend to handle the supplying of these extracted resources to you, in exchange for aid in our production needs."

Another pause, then she added plainly, "We can aid in the efforts of moving and transportation of production."

She gripped at her arm, though her armor didn’t give. All these people gathered around, the words-a simple duel in an arena would make this process quicker.

She shrugged slightly, looking over to Serina. "We would only ask for the control over our designs, but full control of the operation would be beset upon you. As the dark one says, you would retain control of your operations here, we simply need the facilities to produce our product. Which also means, we would lend aid to protect these facilities, and potentially more. As the security of your world, ties into the security of our own.”

She ceased to speak, looking to the others, a small bit of irritation loomed on her face, partly in disgust of the others around this table.

Diplomacy was never truly a strong suit of his people. For Carduul, it was a method he preferred when he saw that disparate flame in others. Unity in strength. All the more, he was pleased that others tried-and-tested in the fields of battle had deigned to join him. To witness firsthand the possibilities their people could bring about.

Like a lesson, from scholar to pupils.

He had quietly acknowledged the statements of Feydrik Munin Feydrik Munin , a soft ‘hmh.’ emitting from the helm. The words only exacerbated as time went on.

There were more who had shown. The surname of another old target of vengeance, in Nova Ka Nova Ka . The words of Serina Calis Serina Calis , whomever they may be, addressed towards him. It was met with a brief stare, and a succinct sentence; “If you were truly interested in such values, you wouldn’t need to ask.” Came a bland reply. Sith could never hope to grasp it, and all had been long deigned facetious amongst their people.

T’was then they were motioned to be led inside. Weapons were beckoned for, and there were those that obliged with rifles and pistols. It wouldn’t matter, but it was symbolic, if nothing else.

“Upon my honor, my people shall not be the ones to initiate conflict, this day.” Were the words in turn, obviously eyeing the Geonosian angling to take his ever-present polearm away. It was impossible to take all of the weapons from a Mandalorian, for their very bodies were one—nonetheless, he unholstered his heavy blaster pistol from his hip, and placed it into the hands of one of the guards.

Once he followed inside, he had listened to the verbal lashing Ukvax the Gilded Ukvax the Gilded had provided in turn. Of how much they had endured, much like his own people. A soft smile upturned the corners of his lips beneath the visor. The Geonosian had stood their ground, as the proper thing to do. More offers made. Standing lectures on how they would do little better than use their partnerships for little more than evil.

So many empty words. Sycophantic offers.

His armored hand set down upon the conference table, not bothering to demean the other factions nor pay them any heed. “This is a discussion of your people. For in your people, I see kindred spirits that may be reignited. Tell me, Archduke; what do you wish to garner from such alliances? Are you interested in only mere trade agreements? Claiming governance of the planet? Or perhaps it is thy wish to truly uplift your people, as a reignited bastion?” The visor of the helm levelled towards him. The Geonosian was wise, letting many clamour for his attention. But this was, after all, a discussion. “I aim to do what my people have always done. To create strength through action. So what strength do you wish to cultivate?”

He was not here for partnerships. He was only partially here to achieve political aims. But above all, he would fulfill a Mand’alor’s purpose in truth—to be the one who spurs others to take action. To allow those with strength to flourish, as they should. How that would be done was, for now, left to the Geonosian's imagination.

Whottoomuzz's massive, beady eyes scanned the room. He had simply come to offer a long-term loan with lower rates and mutually beneficial work for wages. He had not anticipated the galactic smorgasbord on display.

The Hutt sat politely on his repulsor-sedan, without interrupting. The loan offer was sent via Holonet in advance, business ventures to be planned. The mountainous slug might have backed out of the room, only the Geonosians had to take down a wall to permit him entry... There was no polite way to excuse himself.

Oh well. If things turned hostile, his unseen retinue handle things - though only the Hutt and the Geonosians would find that outcome preferable.

The Hutt belched thunderously, then dabbed at his chin with an embroidered napkin.

With all of the humanoids posturing, the Hutt decided that to stay would be of use to the Geonosian - backing of nonhumanoid solidarity. These fragile men and women too often forget about the multitudes of species in the galaxy unless they are useful or force sensitive.

The Hutt pondered for a moment before updating the proposal on his datapad.

A zero-interest loan.

Foolish of Whottoomuzz, but the yapping apes seemed to irritate the insectoid just as much as the Slug.

Nos waited outside the shuttle. His place was not to discuss politics, merely to make sure the Alliance Representatives came to no harm.

He was very cleary not the only security present: Geonosian militants, droids, troopers. Concerningly, his squad only clocked 8 of the Hutt's 12-killer unit, though each one Rubrus actual spotted was had a veritable encyclopedia of felonies attached to their file.

Regardless, the Alliance representatives were well secured - even if other known quantities were present.

Diplomatic forums were not necessarily the Silent Philosopher's typical arena. Politics and business went hand-in-hand, of course, but he was no politician. No, Nolan Knightfall left that duty to other men while his personal talents were utilized best elsewhere. Right now, the Stalgasin Hive of Geonosis had begun to reach out for aid from any party or power within the larger galactic community. With his right-hand man and CEO of Knightfall Enterprises Elias Xavier already present within the boardroom, Nolan briefly adjusted his black tie before entering inside.

He left the personal security team outside. A small demonstration of trust to all parties involved in the current deliberations.

Walking through the room and peering at all the various individuals and elites, the Knightfall Successor smiled at everyone present.

Passing a small datapad to his righthand man from within his inner jacket's pocket, Everyone's Favorite did not miss a single beat, "Apologies for the fashionably late arrival, but when building an empire, even the clock has to catch up."

Turning his attention to the Archduke, Nolan introduced himself properly. In fluent Geonosian.

"(Pleasure to meet you, Archduke Ukvax.)"

A short and simple yet respectful greeting before Nolan chose to sit down next to Elias, far enough way for the two to speak privately while others deliberated.

"You're late," Elias whispered offhandedly, staring at the information in the datapad.

"Fashionably late, you mean," Nolan quickly countered.

Elias scoffed and shoot his head, barely amused, before he began to clue Nolan into the current situation, "Ms. Calis has been trying to bend his ear while you were gone. To her credit, she's quite bold. It may go either way. The others have either made offers or are planning to after she's done having the floor."

"Then let's swing this back into our favor, shall we?"

Whispering and speaking to each other quietly for a few more moment while listening to the current talks and offers, Elias Xavier leaned forward while regarding Archduke Ukvax and Ms. Casis as well as the rest of the room's attendees.

"If I may speak, Archduke Ukvax. Knightfall Enterprises has already forwarded the necessary documents to your counselors and advisors. Instead, I wish to emphasize that we stand ready to cooperate fully with your hive while remaining open to collaborating with the other organizations and governmental bodies present in this room," Elias opened his offer onto the table. Not only with Ukvax but other parties willing to cooperate and work together for Geonosis's benefit.

A sign of good faith and good strategy. While everyone currently argued, Knightfall Enterprises would build bridges. If the Geonosians were worried about clients and loss of business with the Sith Order, as Ms. Calis pointed out, then perhaps a united front and its benefits would exceed the Sith Order's own.

"I'd also like to remind Your Excellency that our organization is an independent and neutral party in these proceedings with a history of integrity and honesty when conducting any kind of business," Elias offered before he briefly added, "And, like the good Mr. Akahl said, we would like to know the specific details and agenda to best help you and your people."

Elias laid out the options before the Archduke. It would be up to the Geonosian leader to decide what was best for his people. Perhaps Knightfall Enterprises was not a political entity like the other bodies represented in the room. But the company could hold its own and call in the necessary favors to help Geonosis however possible.

"(We also have the best lawyers,)" The Rich One interjected quickly in Geonosian with a smile as he interlocked his hands together before leaning back and crossing one leg over the other, "(They know how to handle property and planetary law. Obviously, free of charge.)"

He did not need to speak further to let that particular implication make its point know. Serina Calis and the Archduke were not seeing eye to eye on the ownership of those previously abandoned factories. While Nolan did not express directly his views on the matter, he would much rather the Archduke retain control of those factories over Ms. Calis's ownership. He hoped the Archduke would see that Calis had taken his factories without a single notification or negotiation.

And now essentially strongarming him to keep what was essentially stolen territory. A bold move but whether it would work would remain to be seen. Elias and his counterplay might help the Archduke push back and allow other parties to intervene in this particular matter.

The operation of those factories could not be allowed to be continued nor could Geonosis ally itself and its industrial dominance with the Sith or any other political faction of dubious morality, or lack thereof.

Xazzex inclined her head at the Archduke's words. There was no need to oversell her own position; it was clear there were still others in attendance he sought to address. Unsurprisingly, Serina was one of them. Arguably the chief among them, being an instigator, though the Archduke did not constrain his concern or his expectations merely to one individual. Obviously he sought to establish a position of strength from which to negotiate. Prudent. Many present would gladly exploit a fool, or someone easily swayed for their own gain.

Whether Corin Trenor Corin Trenor had any intention of sweeping Xazzex in as one of those 'criminals' they mentioned or not, the Falleen didn't stir in the slightest. In her official role, it had nothing to do with her. And in her... other capacities as Empress and Crown of the Leviathan Ring, well, she couldn't care less what people thought of illicit activities. To say nothing of the fact such rebuke would be coming from someone other than a Falleen, which for a Xenophobic people meant just about nothing.

Then the Moment arrived. Serina Calis Serina Calis sought to claim the stage. That did cause Xazzex to stir, but only to swear under her breath, "Spider." It harkened to a conversation she'd had with Zenva once. Spiders were the worst. Their webs had about as much chance of twisting in about their own limbs as it did their expected prey. Everyone planned, plotted, and prepared, but 'Spiders' thought it an Art, and Serina was going to demonstrate all the hallmarks of such a person right before their eyes. Were that Xazzex could afford to plug her ears from the tidal wave of weaving about to unfold.

Relaxed in her seat, Xazzex's golden rings tracked the other woman, but paid particular attention to the Archduke's reaction whenever Serina hit a 'beat' in her weave. It was important to know what resonated with the Archduke above anyone else in the room. So far, she believed to have a bead on his aims, but if there was one good thing that came from someone's endless talking it was drawing out reactions. The more the Archduke reacted, the more Xazzex understood the battlefield of their negotiations.

That said, Xazzex did lift her chin in defiance to Serina claiming to be the sole person in the room that kept the factories running. The woman was far from being down talking, however, and Xazzex would not be drawn into her web. Nonetheless, despite her otherwise stoic demeanor a subtle indication of rebuttle had to be shown. There'd be time to follow-up soon enough.

"Some might consider it ironic," Xazzex added after a moment, "that the Confederacy should agree with the representative of Mandalorians." Those that knew the history of Wild Space knew the Enclave had once sought to impose order where The Confederacy now sought to establish an alliance of worlds. "The Confederacy has accomplished by action that which we will continue, should the Archduke agree, not by false modesty, theatrics, and veiled threats. We have invested in the Geonosians long before this meeting, and will continue to do so. Toward that end the Confederacy will do whatever needs done to ensure Geonosis is strong and allowed to govern itself; to do otherwise would be the height of hubris. What we ask will be agreed upon by both parties, openly with no efforts to sieze control or demand tribute of any kind. What is yours will remain yours. What you wish to trade, we will receive with gladness. And should you have need for arms to thwart the advances of outsiders, we will be there."

Rebuking Serina directly would only mire them in needless wordplay, which Xazzex was not known to indulge in. She enjoyed being direct and to the point. To a fault some would say. If riled they would see just how sharp the point could be. In any event, there was no need for flowery rhetoric to make a point -- the Confederady had been and would remain a staunchy ally of Geonosis for however long it desired.

"If only that mattered.", Drazen said over the edge of his wine glass. He grinned as he stared at Xazzex Xivar Xazzex Xivar .

"A mutual agreement for trade is well and good, noble even, but what actually are they going to get out of that? You're going to do whatever is in your power to keep Geonosis strong? With what power? What fleet? What money?", he said as he leaned forward and rested the glass on the table.

"Maybe you're a big deal on... whatever uh... world you came from, but that's it! A deal with you is as good as making a deal with a homeless man on Coruscant. You'd get some fleas, maybe a bag to wear, but you wouldn't be anywhere better off than them. If the Archduke has sense, and we both know he does, at the very least he wouldn't sell his nation's security to someone who's nation died twenty years ago."

The one eyed Sith was a cocky fiend, and the small glint of a smile showed how clearly he wasn't taking this seriously. He wanted money, surely, but at this point he seemed to just enjoy being a nuisance.

A kindred spirit. Xazzex's head pivoted slightly in Drazen's direction as the man spoke. She let him have his peace, such as it was.

Her right hand lifted, perhaps to non-verbally convey a pardon for the intrusion, before she spoke, "Perhaps some present are as deaf as they are blind. The Archduke clearly referenced his peoples own history with Imperial forces. With people that swagger in to whatever system they like and believe in nothing but the size of their gun. You impune the very honor of the worlds I represent, thinking us weak."

Xazzex turned her golden eyes to Drazen in particular now, "Have the Sith fallen so far its Intelligence doesn't know the strength of the new Confederacy? We are an alliance of worlds opposed to the very fascist rule you and yours represent. We welcome all interested in maintaining their independence, across borders and regardless of cultural differences. I dare you to make the same claim. To look the Archduke in the eyes and tell him that the Sith would never revisit the sins of the past on his people because it is convenient."

"If you had ears to hear you wouldn't have uttered the words that Geonosis need sell itself to us. The Confederacy does not own its member worlds. Unlike dogmatic worshippers of a Dead God."
Whether Drazen sought to seriously make a point or not, it was a delightfully personal excuse for the Falleen to respond directly. Serina's stance hadn't warranted direct conflict, but Drazen had invited it.

"Hm... Well, we certainly haven't lost our ears, or our intelligence. I suppose I lost my eye, which explains why I've never seen you do anything - but that doesn't explain why I don't hear about you or know anything you've done. Stop us? Protect worlds from us?", he laughed.

"I'm not a liar, Miss Confederacy, the Sith are a bastard of a people who want power and money. Me, most of all. That said - if the 'Dead God' came here, the Confederacy couldn't do a thing to stop him. They'd make a deal for trade, and have nothing to show for it.", he said with a shrug, leaning back in his chair, letting his feet cross on the table before them.

"So what use is freedom and independence when we could just take what we want? The better deal is to rely on the ones who can ensure his world stays safe, not the ones who promise falsehoods and protection made of smoke and mirrors. Go on, tell him how you'd protect his world with the Mors Mon in orbit. Tell him how you'd stop me.", he said, motioning her with a gesture like shooing a child.

"I'm absolutely on the edge of my seat waiting to find out where you're hiding your substantial prowess."

A gathering hosted by one of the most powerful archdukes on Geonosis was a chance the Marquis of Valkan couldn't pass up, but realizing that in this place, this gathering there would be more powerful political figures, the Eriaduan noble realized that perhaps he could bring in someone of equal political weight to the majority of people that would be gathering on such an event. As such, it did not take much time or hesitation for Tertius to send a missive through the secure channels of the Diarchy to have at least one of the Diarchs travel with a light detachment to Geonosis, including the coordinates of the gathering and the time of meeting.
" Diarch Reign Diarch Reign , we might need some political weight to accompany the corporate might I will bring to the table...it is a chance for the Diarchy to reach beyond their borders and immediate vicinity...don't be late if you please..."

Aboard a NZ Upsilon II-class /DX shuttle the Marquis of Valkan, chairman of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation and Financial advisor to the Diarchy made his way towards the gathering hosted on Geonosis by one of its most influential members: Ukvax the Gilded Ukvax the Gilded , an archduke of one of the hives. Tertius had dealt with one of these hive archdukes before, a deal which for a time had landed his transport division a proper contract to move rockite ore from geonosis to the heart of the Galactic Alliance for the sake of their rebuilding efforts. However, ever since, the company has been in a rather cold war with the Trade Federation which hosted this contract in the first place.

Upon his arrival, the Eriaduan noble was flanked by a small detachment of Valkan Guards, and ofcourse to ease any communication, he had also brought one of his company's protocol droids and his capable assistant Amalia who would be making sure that everything said within the context of the company or the diarchy would be noted down properly.

"Amalia, you should go in with me and Centurion Livicus' men... Diarch Reign will be fine, he most likely will bring his best myrmidons," Tertius let out a sigh of relief as he noticed the nod his assitant made and straightened the lapels of his intricately woven and detailed purple overcoat, taking in a deep breath as he moved towards the gathering. Not to his surprise, he would notice the presence of notable figures from throughout the galaxy, from across all factions and all walks of life...except his own it seemed, as there seemed to be much more political and military representation at this gathering than actual corporate power.

he quickly noticed the Speaker of the Confederacy Xazzex Xivar Xazzex Xivar and would greet her with a respectful nod in passing by. Even the sight of Serina Calis Serina Calis , Drazen Lutris Drazen Lutris and Nova Ka Nova Ka wasn't all that surprising, since as his home planet and corporate headquarters fell in Sith-controlled territory, it was logically prudent to keep a list of any persons of interest. Even Rackham Rackham was given a friendly, respectful nod, especially in lieu of the collapse of the Dark Empire, it was no more than normal to give the man some sympathy and encouragement.

Noticing the Mandalorian Carduul Akahl Carduul Akahl , Tertius straightened his back a bit and only nodded firmly, while his Centurion seemed to eye the Mandalorian with a more respectful nod, something only true warriors could understand. the Marquis wasn't done eyeing those present though, as he finally noticed a face which he would not forget for a long time, as for a moment, he found himself looking at the enormous frame of Whottoomuzz Chantin Whottoomuzz Chantin with his own detachment. Making a slow motion with his hand backwards, Tertius ordered his men to remain calm, as this Hutt was partially responsible for quite some substantial material losses on Mygeeto. Nothing particularily crippling, but certainly troublesome for the insurances later on.

"I think this is the first time you and I have met," The Eriaduan tilted his head a bit, smiled rather sheepishly. "Not worth my time nor the trouble it would bring."

Tertius was still somewhat livid on how the hutts had so greedily answered the call from the Dark Empire to raid one of his facilities. A rather funny aspect, because with his own connections...the Hutt's head could have been on a spike long ago. Luckily, the Eriaduan did at the very least respect the slug for his brazen move on mygeeto. However, his target had been the Geonosian Archduke, hoping to appease the clicker with a proper greeting and one in his own language through the use of his own protocol droid.

"Ladies and gentlemen, my apologies for this late arrival," Tertius now formally bowed to all those present like only a highborn noble would be capable of doing, with military strength and precision, yet with a strange flair and certain elegance interlaced.

Noticing that Diarch Reign Diarch Reign was also following, bringing in his own guard, Tertius decided to at the very least make the interruption towards the ongoing talks as brief as possible. "I am present as both the chairman of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, as well as Financial advisor to the esteemed Diarch Reign of the Diarchy."

While his protocol droid would translate his words in Geonosian, allowing the Archduke to hear Tertius' words twice translated in a sense, The marquis of Valkan took a seat and leaned a bit back. Wondering if the Diarch would take this time to announce himself as well or just take it as it is.

Corin Trenor Corin Trenor Solidor Slane Solidor Slane Darth Morta Darth Morta Rackham Rackham Whottoomuzz Chantin Whottoomuzz Chantin Nos Voros Nos Voros Nolan Knightfall Nolan Knightfall .

There is decisive action and cautious planning. Indeed, the Archduke of Stalgasin Hive, Ukvax the Gilded, understood this duality of truths with ease and grace. The Confederacy promised much - yet it had been them that failed the Geonosian people with its inability to understand the cultural complexities of Geonosis. The Hutts promised much - even though their territories were carved apart by the Mandalorian dagger. There is truths and lies and ambitions and compassions spun throughout the manyfold webs; Ukvax proceeded carefully on which to cut, and which to allow for his rivals to fall victim to. The Sith Order promised much, as did the others. But it was not time to test commitments.

No.

He knew where he needed to lean, and where his best chances of survival, not just from the outside galaxy, but more importantly, the internal sieges, laid...

To this end, the cane thwacked its butt upon the ground harshly; the Geonosian Archduke glared at the petty dispute with annoyance. The chattering of outsiders, at least, was complimented by the Hutts' own presence. How amusingly - two species the galaxy hated, and yet the Geonosian felt an oddity of solidarity with them. But it was time to pick and choose his enemies. He could not trade with all of them; he could, however, ensure he played the best possible hand imagineable.

So he spoke, first in Geonosian.

[GEONOSIAN]: "Hoyuek-tik wrrrrrrk, tisk-kosk nakeg-kliak waka-sa."

To those unfamiliar, it would have sounded like insectoid chattering. However, to Nolan, it was clear what it meant - it meant his decision had been reached, and to cease the squabbling.

A shift of his hand brought the waddling translator droid over, and with it, the Geonosian supplied the first volley of words. He would address the Sith delegation last; he felt it best to keep them waiting as to think over their offers the most. But for now, his gaze turned to Corin Trenor Corin Trenor , Jack Wright Jack Wright , and Solidor Slane Solidor Slane .

[BASIC]: "Jedi, those who demand such justice and virtues grasp not the obvious - you dub the Sith evil, yet you fail to realize the truth. The Outer Rim burns with slavers and pirates; Geonosis' lands laid to waste from the ravaging touch of its own civil strife. We are a business of war and blood upon these gritty sands and harsh rocks. You presume much of us to have a choice. Your Alliance sits in the Core and the Foundation focuses on the crisis of refugees - with other polities within your conclaves only willing to inflame Geonosian politics with rhetoric that has damned the Geonosian people with this bloody war unfurling."

To that end, he turned to one of his drones, and clicked twice out.

[GEONOSIAN]: "Kosk-kosk, sey-mak wrrrrrrrrrrrk."

And indeed, as with it, the drone raced out to bring refreshments. He would be a generous host at least. Thus did the Geonosian Archduke's eyes, black in hue with orange, horizontal-slitted pupils, slither over to Xazzex Xivar Xazzex Xivar . Thus did his voice command out to the translator droid, who spoke.

[BASIC]: "The Sith speaks true - our long and fruitful partnership has existed, yes, but so has the truth of its disjointed status. The Confederacy's collapse and its attempted... "modernization", led only to a loss of ineffciency. Of productivity. Hives burn to the ground, and yet here you stand, presuming much the same as the Sith do. But at least the Sith have the accomplishments of strength to back their arguments."

The surly Archduke thwapped his cane as he turned over to his Geonosian warriors, instrucing them to stand on alert.

[GEONOSIAN]: "A-me-a-no hoyuek!"

And indeed, with it uttered as the drones, warriors, and elites moved to perform security sweeps in the room (Just for assurance), he turned to the Hutts, the Mandalorians, the one Human male whose pleasant self spoke Geonosian, and the others who offered their support. There was a simple reply to give them, but not one of ignorance. He would reach an accords with them yet still. To the translator droid he spoke.

[BASIC]: "Your offers are noted; they are not declined, however it may be discussed in separate negotiations. Rest assured, however - Geonosis is committed to the welfare of those it trades with, and the prosperity of its allies."

Thus did the Archduke turn to Nova Ka Nova Ka , Delsin Shaw Delsin Shaw , Drazen Lutris Drazen Lutris , Darth Morta Darth Morta , and Serina Calis Serina Calis . There is a moment of intrigue, of interest burning in those insectoid eyes. A hand reached up to stroke his tentacled "mutton chops". Deep in thought for a moments, and then finally did he comment to his Geonosian aides.

[GEONOSIAN]: "Na-keg soyuek ka-kliak se-ge-he-ga. Meh-heh-ha."

With that, the Geonosian finally commented to his translator droidi at last.

[BASIC]: "Your offers are noted... And His Eminence, the Archduke of Stalgasin Hive, agrees with the points made by your envoys. There will be further diplomatic discussions with the Sith Order to ensure such deals are finalized, and that proper accounting is made of each and every deal. But His Eminence believes the surest path to security of himself, Stalgasin Hive, and the Reunification of Geonosis lays within the supportive measures of the Sith Order. His Eminence only asks of the one known as Drazen, the Sith Order's lead envoy, to allow a meeting with the Emperor of the Sith Order to discuss terms formally in an accords on Jutrand. Geonosis must prosper - its security must be assured without smokes that contain blazing fires within, and mirrors that only distort the truth. The Sith Order will find a most eager ally in Geonosis if it keeps true to its word."

With that, the Geonosian Archduke tapped his cane, as the drones retruned to bring back refreshment. It seemed this particular round of diplomatic talks were wrapping up, and it seemed clear that if nothing else, the Sith Order won this day. As the Archduke, however, commented one last time to his droid.

[BASIC]: "However, His Eminence, the Archduke of Stalgasin Hive, will personally travel alongside a small retinue of aides and guards to Jutrand, as to better examine the polity of the Sith Order, to personally meet the Emperor, and to ensure the accords are signed both on Jutrand, and on Geonosis."

A nod, as Ukvax the Gilded's spackled armor caught the dull light of the room, and the Geonosian awaited them to speak. In the main brevity of it though, the Geonosians seemed... tense. As if expecting possible hostile retailation from the other parties towards themselves and the Sith...

Outside, Nos Voros Nos Voros could hear the sound of Geonosian drones laboring, as well as the occasional Warrior patroling. Otherwise, not much seemed to be happening for them and the Hutt's entourage...

At least, until the late arrival came, and the Geonosian merely motioned his hand for the protocol droid to speak.

[BASIC]: "His Eminence will be having a meeting later with the representatives of the Diarchy separately - he understands you are... allies, of the Sith Order?"

But for now, it seemed the Geonosians of Stalgasin Hive threw in their lot with the Sith Order...

For now...

The representatives from the Sith and Confederacy were already at one another's throats in a bickering contest. It seems that some things were fated to never change in the Galaxy no matter how old he got. He took in a deep breath before sighing heavily as he lifted his cane up slightly before tapping it against the floor to grab their attention, "If I would be so bold as to ask a small favor, that you two would be so kind as to not bother our gracious host with needless arguing amongst yourselves. Perhaps save your verbal hostilities for one another for a later time?"
His worn eyes shifted from Xazzex Xivar Xazzex Xivar to Drazen Lutris Drazen Lutris before his attention shifted back to Ukvax the Gilded Ukvax the Gilded ,"I'm sure that the noble Archduke did not invite us all to hear us bicker amongst each other." He offered a small apologetic bow of his head on behalf of the other representatives to the Archduke before speaking, "It would be rude of us to insult his hospitality with needless slander."
The Archduke proceeded to speak as Solidor listened, having a mild understanding and grasp of their language before the droid translated on his behalf, "We presume little Your Eminence. Me and my younger companion are also not part of the Galactic Alliance unlike the other representatives before you. We come here merely to offer aid in what capacity the Foundation may offer for a unified Geonosis to help stabilize the planet, its inhabitants, and surrounding system."
He paused before offering a deeper bow of his head, "We ask nothing more than your friendship and hospitality. A gesture of good faith and will."

7. Kholak: A Kaleesh warrior-priest, his face concealed behind a traditional bone mask, blending spirituality with deadly precision.

8. Zarin: A Nagai swordsman, his pale skin and jet-black hair giving him a ghostly appearance, his vibroblade an extension of his will.

"Du pawa, da humies peetchka still bokka."

The Hutt grabbed a live frog from the side of his repulsor-sedan and crunched it, watching with passive interest. Breathing through his mouth between lowd mastication, he turned to observe the Geonosian leader, interrupted by another humanoid:

"I think this is the first time you and I have met," The Eriaduan tilted his head a bit, smiled rather sheepishly. "Not worth my time nor the trouble it would bring."

The Hutt nodded back respectfully, cautiously agreeing. He had no clue who this was.

Who is this one?

"I am present as both the chairman of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, as well as Financial advisor to the esteemed Diarch Reign of the Diarchy."

Oh, that's who that is.

The grudge was certainly understandable, Mygeeto had been very profitable endeavor, if odd. He had not seen the meat thing from those reports since his sabotage of the Dantooine open.

[BASIC]: "Your offers are noted; they are not declined, however it may be discussed in separate negotiations. Rest assured, however - Geonosis is committed to the welfare of those it trades with, and the prosperity of its allies."

Another Nod from the Hutt. Discussing, or even acknowledging, dealings with the Cartel in such company could provide trouble for the Geonosians. The Hutt had no illusions of how the galaxy viewed his kin and vocation.

Whottoomuzz was content to partake in refreshment and watch the tensions of the various little people in their webs of tension, like a live holodrama.

Ilri didn't so much as flinch at all the grandstanding. But while everyone was being in the mood to express charity and good-will, the Senator was inclined to echo likewise, only a tad more without the standard ulterior motive.

"As humble representatives of the Alliance, Archduke, I speak on their behalf when I say we come seeking neither gain nor your resources; merely to offer a hand in friendship. The questionable history speaks of much, but our open-minded policy remains absolute, despite the faces of constant adversity."

With a short nod between such respective delegates, without the slightest margin of offence. Ilri merely addressed what was fact, and more to come, regarding the Geonosian in desperate need of aid.

"For all our talks of unity, however, there remains the crippling setback; the state of Geonosis as a whole, and I would like for us to direct the flow of converse to oppose precisely we may oppose such a planetwide contagion of infighting; perhaps not individually, but together." The Kiffar proposed, hands clasped together with a Clap of emphasis, her smile became poignant. "An invitation I'm sure only fools would deny."

From behind, Jack batted an eye, Ilri noticed from the corner of her peripheral vision the Jedi Knight dropped his jaw a little.

Drazen slapped his knee and laughed as he moved to stand from his chair.
"Ha, see? The Archduke agrees!", he said with that same, annoying, wolfish grin, pointed directly at Xazzex Xivar Xazzex Xivar .
He turned to Solidor Slane Solidor Slane next, and his smile only continued.
"There is no such thing as needless slander. Grow up."
He peacocked towards the other Sith, Darth Morta Darth Morta , Serina Calis Serina Calis , Nova Ka Nova Ka , Delsin Shaw Delsin Shaw , spreading his hands wide as though he were saying 'See? Easy.' to them. The Brother of the Emperor continued his victory lap before resting a hand directly on Delsin Shaw Delsin Shaw 's shoulder. In a much lower tone to the others, he spoke through clenched teeth;
"Do you see how they doubt us? Doesn't it make you just want to kill them?"

The Diarch had heard of the gathering from Tertius, whose ear was always on the ground for the best interests of both the N&Z and the Diarchy. He had followed the Marquis into the hanger, bringing only two of his Myrmidons as an honor guard.

As his old friend introduced himself, the Diarch stepped forward at his mention, waiting for Tertius to take a seat before he bowed low and spoke

“It is an honor to be your guest your eminence. I am the Diarch Reign, lord of the Diarchy. Please forgive my tardiness”

Taking a seat near Tertius he listened as the Archduke spoke, taking in the words of the esteemed being. When he mentioned allying with the Sith Order and the Diarchy’s friendship of them he leaned to his advisor’s ear and said.

“those details are not yet finalized. An alliance with the order is tenuous at best currently. And at worst hostilities may arise. Let’s play this one closely”

As the Archduke finished his statement, the Diarch rose with the rest of the group, waiting for his time to speak to their host.

“Archduke, thank you for your hospitality. We in the Diarchy would like to speak more in whatever manner you see fit. I would much enjoy to hear your plans more in depth.”

His frown deepened, accompanied by a quiet, displeased groan.

Geonosis seemed determined to align itself with Sith and criminals. The decision had been made long before this meeting, evident in how swiftly the verdict had been handed down. That alone was all Corin needed to hear. Senators could waste their breath on futile diplomacy - Jedi would not. At least, not these two. The other was an unknown.

"Once the Sith and their allies have wrung Geonosis dry and claimed it for themselves, the Foundation will aid the Geonosian people," Corin stated, his voice level but firm as he stood behind the seated elder Jedi. "I only hope you see reason before then, Archduke."

He cast a glance toward Solidor - a brief, knowing exchange - before turning on his heel and striding away.

Darth Morta sat in her chair around the conference table, it seemed that at least her presence had helped project the power of the Sith Order to the Genonosians. Still it wasn't why she was here, and she waited until there was a moment of calm when the Archduke wasn't taken up in the politics and pulled out a single-use datapad preloaded with information and meant to be thrown away or destroyed once the use had been fulfilled.

"Archduke Ukvax, when you have some free time, since we're on the same side now, I have a business proposal you might find interesting." Morta said as she slid the data pad with the force over to within easy reach of Ukvax should he feel the urge to pursue its contents.

On the pad were the plans for an orbital complex, a shipyard of modest size meant to handle both civilian and military craft, but the plan was flawed, not majorly just rife with the ineffiancies of a planet inexperienced with this kind of infrastructure project, and the material requests gave away the fact that the planet this was going over lacked the native heavy industry to build most of the parts. This was more than just the request of one specialist to another specialist, this was a request for aid in proper planetary development, a request made to an ally, not an outsider.

That could've gone better.

Not five minutes and it seemed history was doomed to repeat, the Archduke allying with the kind who screwed over his ancestors, a thousand years prior. It sucked, but Jack knew protesting or causing a scene would do ill wonders.

It'll come to bite the Geonosians in the rear, again, but they shouldn't be here for the spectacle. When the time comes, perhaps the Archduke of Big Bugs would see sense.

But until then.

His posture shifted, glancing down intently between Ilri Mel Ilri Mel and Solaina Embarri with the intended mission: It was time to move out. No sense in sticking around and risking their safeties, with the party gathering of enemies who would physical grind them to dust in a nanosecond.

Standing just between both Senators, Jack was prepared to depart when they were.
