Description: With the success of the MC-d1001 Tarpon-class Heavy Defense Battery, the Engineers at Mon Calamari Shipyards have begun the task of designing a series of weapon batteries to consolidate firepower into one centralized reinforced mount.
As the Orca battery neared its final development phases the engineering team at MCS began the development of the Galeus-class Ion Cannon Battery. Much of the same internal components of the Galeus are identical to the Orca with the exception of the Turbolaser Cannons being replaced with Ion Cannons. All other design aspects are identical to the Orca.
