OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
Memoryx gives the user the ability to temporarily relive memories from their past.
Strengths:
Dr. Blaire once came across a group of retired Republic commandos who were reaching their twilight years. She sat down and spoke with them for some time. After a while, she began to feel sympathetic for these old war dogs. All the time they spent in war, they could barely remember anything from their younger years. She wanted to help them and all the other veterans. So, she got to work. Around the clock, her and her team of scientists and doctors worked on creating some sort of drug that would help bring back the memories of those who've grown old. Dr. Blaire was able to come up with a nerve-stimulating compound that was capable of causing hallucinations. With that, she modified the compound so that it would specifically target the hippocampus, the part of the brain that is associated with memory. Once the compound reaches the hippocampus, it 'fires it up' and briefly returns memories to the consumer. The stimulants are so potent that the consumer actually sees the memories as clear as day. Next, Dr. Blaire had to figure out how the compound would be administered. One of her colleagues suggested that making it an incense would be the best idea seeing as incense are usually considered calming and peaceful things and that is how the company would want their product to be seen. The next step would be trials. Initially the trials were inconclusive, but, as Dr. Blaire eventually concluded, the drug was almost ineffective on the young as their hippocampus wasn't quite as degraded as the elderly and they did not have many memories for the drug to 'dig up'. The next set of trials was administered to a group of elderly. Half of the group were just retired factory workers while the other half were war veterans or former mercenaries. The results from these trials were much more fulfilling. The test subjects report that the drug worked amazingly and they were very thankful for the experience. With that, Csillian Labs began mass production of Memoryx.
